Hello my name is Charles Lindberg and I am attempting to have criminal charges and/or a class action lawsuit placed against JRE Law Group and it's primary players. JRE also represented us for our loan modification. They were very efficient at first until the day we supposedly had a 3 way conversation with BOA which told us that we don't qualify. That was in June; Now my emails were never replied and just recently, they were all undeliverable.

I too was scammed by this company and was later sent a letter how we're supposed to be receiving a claim form. I'm still waiting for that claim form 3 months later...unsure of who to contact now.

I basically gave up on ever seeing my money again. roy8830 - how are you following up with this case? ca.gov bar website? I can't find anything... I will fill out a complaint and please post information on where you are getting your info. Thanks.

If you have not done so, please contact the California Bar. I filed a complaint in 2010. It looks like this could be finally in the home stretch. Like Charles, I would like to pursue this further than just getting my money back.

Wow - My husband and I have spent 2 years trying to get our loan modified with the same company/people. Reading all these stories makes it very clear that we too could lose our home now. I spoke with Steve a couple of weeks ago and was told he was going to get my file from JRE (JRE supposedly closed due to health issues) before that I kept getting told that Bank of America was in some type of hold status and not doing anything with loan mods until after the new year, etc... Because we are members and involved in the same church I believed in Steve and that he was truly trying to help us and our family. Sadly, last week I was told that he had a massive stroke and the next day while at church I was told he passed away. My heart goes out to his family! It saddens me because I know Steve Hibler as a very different person than from the person I am reading about in all of these posts and can't begin to comprehend what is really going on at this time. If anyone knows who to contact or the next step that can be taken to get help with our loan modification or who to report our case to and try to recover the money over $7500 that we too "gave" etc. any help would be extremely helpful.

On September 2009 I paid to JRE law Group the sum of $ 3.100 to
facilitate a loan modification program for a mortgage held with Bank of America.Eight month later, Bank of America notified me that my request for a loan modification was declined.I have not heard from JRE Law Group a word concerning this matter.I discovered a few month later when Bank of America sent me new loan modification forms that these forms were the same that JRE Law Group used and these forms were free.Therefore it appears that JRE Law Group charged me $3.100 for forms that can be obtained for nothing. In september 2010 my renewed loan modification was rejected and declined.I have not been successful in getting a loan modification and JRE Law Group at that period of time was no longer in business.I thougt of filing and complant against JRE Law Group, but there is no onein charge anymore, the website is closed, and no one can be contacted to discuss the matter, a refund or any complaint whatsoever.I woudl like to add that Mr. Steve Lozzano who worked for JRE Law Group and processed my loan modification application now works for Chase manhattan Bank. I attest that is true and correct and if requested to supply an Affidavit for legal action.I will be glad to offer my testimony.my email vwojtek@yahoo.com

Has anyone figured out how to contact JRE to get their funds back because they took $2000 from me and my husband and we have not received anything in the mail as of yet and we have emailed all of our information to JRE back in July 2010 and when we tried to call or send emails we could not make contact at all I am disabled and my husband is working two jobs to try and support us and for these people to say that they could help save our home is crazy as well as taking everyone's money. This is the same situation that my Husband and I were placed in...getting scammed out of $2000. I did get some advice from a real estate friend to not stop paying my mortgage if I could still afford to do so and boy are we glad we decided to follow that advice. We feel like fools for having believed JRE would be modifying our loan and for giving them our personal info (ss#, tax records, etc). We also received that same bankruptcy letter indicating that the owner had fallen ill and that paperwork to file a claim would be arriving in the mail. It's been 2 months and no claim paperwork has arrived! The letter also did not indicate who we can call or email for more information.

JRE Law screwed me and my family out of the home we lived in for over 11 years. We paid them 4k to help lower our interest rates with our lender, only to lose our house through foreclosure. My wife and I appeared in a Virginia court to find out our house was foreclosed and sold, while JRE law said we were fine. JRE sent us a Bankruptcy notice saying their lead attorney feel ill. We are now homeless, we are investigating ways to track these crooks to their own doorsteps. If anyone has their home addresses, other business addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc... please post! It will save us private investigation money, we have a PI eager to pursue equal justice.

If anyone has any information on how to attempt to our money back please let me know. I am in the same boat paid $3500 was given the run around for 5 months and have now lost my home and had to relocate my 3 children and myself. Any information would be helpful!
