just automotive & electrical ltd. 12 holmes road manurewa Bad behavior, left me stranded

I had a flat battery so I called just automotive 24 hour mobile at 5.30pm as I needed to get back to the Mount from Auckland, they said that a mechanic will be there soon, by 7pm no mechanic so I called again, she said he is coming, 7.30pm still no mechanic, I called again, she said he will be there soon, by 8pm I had enough so I called and the rude office woman said basically don't get my tits in a tangle he is coming! I was almost in tears by this time and my sis told me that’s not on, well 8.30 pm still no mobile mechanic so I rang for the fourth time and guess what? the rude woman said no one can come!... WHAT I said, I told her this is not on, she just laughed and told me I was upset because I had to get back to the Mount, I was quite surprised to be Insulted in such a manner, I couldn't believed it?" In tears I goggled another 24 hour mobile mechanic and by 9pm i was on my way home.yay thanks to this great guy whom I would love to mention but sadly this is a complaint. If this is how Aucklanders are treated I’m so glad I don't live there. Over Rated, VERY VERY RUDE STAFF!

just automotive & electrical ltd. 12 holmes road manurewa over charge and bad behavior.

my car stereo wire at the back came off and i had no right tools to open the stereo unit, so i went to this company (just automotive & electrical ltd. 12 holmes road manurewa) to get my stereo wire fixed. the guy opened the unit and fixed it. it took him only 5 minutes.
but he charged me $95.30 just for a 5 minute job. i told him he is charging too much and the $95.30 does not sound reasonable. he started arguing with me and starting threatening me to pay otherwise he will take my car and put it into his garage workshop. when i asked for the bill he refused and so i refused to pay the money. i wanted the bill, but he did not gave me the bill. he in fact took my car and drove it into his garage and took my car keys as well. i finally had to call the police. and then the police helped me getting my car back. but still i had to pay $95.30 for that 5 minute minor job.
a total rip off!

Avoid these scam artists. Do Not Use!

I rung these guys up when my bonnet mechanism broke and couldn't be driven. Asked them for WOF at same time. They charged a lot for the mechanism replacement and said it failed WOF due to broken tail light glass but they would order part (500). They would not return car until full bill paid but they never got part.

Asked for refund. But they have been dodging me for weeks.
Part wasn't even needed as got WOF elsewhere.

These guys are dodgy scam artists. Avoid like the plague

Wow, I'm completely surprised at the amount of negative responses regarding tgis company I am currently in a situation with my vehicle and called and spoke with a guy who advised a technician would come to my job to inspect my vehicle with a call out fee of $68.00. I advised him I had a mechanic look at it a couple of weeks ago whi actually told me what the issue is, so spark plugs need replacing so does the oil filter as the gasket appears to be leaking oil causing my vehicle to jolt in a forward backward motion whilst waiting at a light, driving or in park with vehicle on. I just wanted a quote to cost but he advised the technician would be able to advise he's looked at the vehicle himself. Judging by all your responses I am happy to have been forewarned of what customer experience I can as well as many others can too expect. Tainted reputation for the business however word of mouth definitely does go a lonnnnnnng way, such a pity. If anyone out there can suggest good reliable mechanical services who are cost effective, professional and thorough then I appreciate and welcome your suggestions.

Yes take car to the agents. They are $110 cheaper than Simon Singh. Mobile Mechanics. And u could have a loan car and 1 day wait not 5 days like I had to and they clean your car not leave grease hand prints all over the white leather seats and they don't back out and destroy your fence and the neighbour's lettterbox (neighbour fixed it himself but real grumpy). Wish there was something to stop this guy.

These guys are very shady. They came and took our car. Said it was going to be $2000 to fix the engine. Then convinced we should get a new car instead via a trade.

Well we were naive and agreed. He said he took our car to the wreckers. However he (Simon) actually sold it behind our backs.

We didnt see our new car for a month even after lots of calls. He pretended the new car came from Christchurch and needed repairs.

We did end up getting a new car that he bought. Found out the car was just bought from 2 Cheap Cars in Auckland! We just paid the money for the car and he kept the $3000 or so by trading our old car. He pretended the new car was worth $8000. We paid $5000 which is the price for it on 2 Cheap Cars anyway. In other words, we didnt see a discount.

Decided not to call him out as a liar so we kept the new car. Thank god the new car works. Just avoid doing business with Simon and these guys. They lie and love to keep you waiting a long time.

29th August 2017 - I just feel I need to also report a 'Near Miss' with this company!. My Audi was due a service and I thought the easiest thing to do was to get some mobile mechanic to do the usual service at my home so I could carry on working from home. I googled and called Auckland Mobile mechanics who confirmed they could do a premium service for $250, had to chase them up a few times as they couldn't at first confirm a day/time to come out. When they did arrive - I left this guy to check it over. He told me after 15 mins that it needed more than a service, there was a water pipe leak and my brake pads would need replacing also a crack in the 'brush'? he wrote this on a scrap of paper which I took a copy of and said it would have to go to their workshop - and said it wasn't safe to drive! when I asked where he would be taking it and what would the costs to repair be, he couldn't say and said i should call his boss 'Simon' - so I called Simon who told me they had several workshops (4 infact) around Auckland and it would be one of them. I still didn't feel comfortable about them taking my car although he promised to 'loan' me a car later that day. I spoke to my husband who also didn't like this scenario as it was all to vague - Simon couldn't give an indication of costs until they had worked on it at the workshop. Simon then called me back and said they would be taking it to Penrose which I then said no don't bother I'll take it to my local garage.
I immediately took it down to my local garage (specialising in european cars) who did a 40 point vehicle inspection - showed me all the areas they had checked, 99% had all 'ticked boxes' - No water leak (that would have cost around $450 to repair) Brakes were fine for another 5k - 10k (that would have cost around $500) perfectly safe to drive and no crack in brush. I left it with them to do the service - Fantastic customer service, should have gone there in the first place!
Did some research on this company afterwards - WOW that was a close shave! STAY WELL CLEAR OF THESE GUYS - A COMPLETE SCAM! IN MY OPINION (without prejudice)

Omg I wish I had done that sob $1550 down the drain. After 2 new rotors and pads the last thing said was we may have to bleed the brakes. I do not want to see them Help. ! Some one do something about them. My car was immaculate before this and I don't feel comfortable in it now it is tainted by them. They even rip off invalids and Pensioners.

Yes Yes Yes all these complaints and bad sercvice sounds like the service of three mobile mechanics that rome around over promissing and most of all not keeping people in the picture all the time :(
Through the actions of these people has made a bad name fore us all ( Im a mobile mechanic ) Ive been to many peoples place and had the same response from these client of the result of these jokers before they even tell me who they are I can tell them and they laugh and horifide that these jokers are still around.
As with my Service I quote before coming through and keep the people up to date with all repairs and also show them egsactly what is going on and why it needs to be done.:) HAPPY SAFE MOTORING :)

Absolute ### of the earth. I don't know how these people keep getting away with what they do - they WILL sabotage your car. They WILL NOT actually fix any problems, but they will try to charge you thousands for false repairs - a common theme here on these boards is that they say you need a new engine. They tried the same with me, but took it a step further and claimed I had already agreed to the work.

Avoid like the plague, these people need to be in prison.

PS: They do not offer free towing. They'll tell you it is and then charge you for it anyway, along with a callout fee.

Don't know where to begin ... long story short early August we had car troubles, we found them listed on website with all these comments from happy customers (now I don't believe they are real) -we decided to give them a call, we spoke with Simon Singh/Simms he kindly offered to pick up and diagnose asap, we were impressed with the service thinking gosh they've taken away the head ache of arranging to take in vehicle for servicing knew it was too good to be true, now we know a definite tactic to lure in the unsuspecting clients….. within the week they said car needs replacement engine as the head gasket blown, to cut costs we looked and found an engine for our car in hamilton advised Simon but he insisted that he could pick up an engine with even lower mileage (we have yet to check if in fact there is a replacement engine in our car), said leave it to him he'll co-ordinate the freight etc Our car was returned after 8 WEEKS - it spluttered after a week, after emails and many phone calls we had to drop off the car for 2 hours at the garage they checked car and replaced a 'spark plug" however after 1 day we still had problems, car died 10 days ago, they finally picked up car last week promised to get back to us, before they picked up vehicle we organised for a second opinion from a mechanic - he came to our home and inspect/advise us, after explaining everything to him he said when an engine is transferred to another car they must reset the ECU computer because it's a different motor and check the coil pack, we wrote all this information down and wondering why the heck are we having to research and find possible solutions of why our car isn't working …. we advised auckland mobile to look at the list and check the car thoroughly, we spoke with Wayne who claims he runs the place he promised/guaranteed to call us within 1.5 days, 3 days later we're chasing them for an update …. instead we get Simon who gives us bad attitude that the car does need new coil pack and they refuse to wear costs?! demanding we pay more money for problem that has nothing to do with the failed engine?! we got angry and shouted at him and they threatened to report us to police and demanded we get our vehicle off their yard! What?! …. how the heck did they manage to turn the tables on us …. these guys are experienced con artists …. PLEASE CAN YOU ALL JOIN US TO MAKE COMPLAINT TO FAIR GO, we have all contact details of producer we will also be lodging with disputes tribunal This has to stop! [protected] these posts just go on and on from 2010?! these people must be held accountable for their actions, I really feel for anyone that goes to these COWBOYS this is such a short version of what has actually happened but I don't have all night to write -keen to get this warning/complaint up.

A new current address for Simon and Angelene Singn the Shareholders and Directors of Just Automotive and Electrical.Ltd is 12 Holmes Rd Manurewa my suggestion is contact the Police as they have proven on my job to be Scam artists and have no intention of doing mobile work. They want your car back in their workshop at 21A Industry Rd so the can delay and build up the bill and if anyone queries the account they will try and intimidate and not release the car. I would suggest any claim with this company should be jointly directed at the shareholders S & A Singn and be taken to the Small Claims Tribunal.

My 1997 Mazda failed a warrant because of a leak of fluid from a rear brake on one side. I phoned a mobile mechanic as this was easier for me than to drop it at my usual garage. BIG MISTAKE> A "mechanic" called after I was assured over the phone he would arrive with the part and take about 1/2 an hour. When he came he glanced at it and said it had to go to a workshop which was handy and it would be back later that day. An hour later I came outside to see a tow truck with my car about to leave when I asked where it was going he said to Penrose but the pick-up was free. I had to chase up the company for two days and finally they said it was fixed and wanted a credit card over the phone to pay approx $560 and when I asked for an invoice the person said the mechanic had it and he would need to get him to email it to me. This is a CON Company with slick non disclosing answers when I asked who owned the company I was told Simon with no last name. A search of company records shows a Simon Singn and this led me to discover all the bad press on this company
