Teenage kid was going door to door selling subscritptions for the LA Times in early August of 2008. His selling point was signing on subscriptions would enable him an employment opportunity which would in turn keep him off the streets. The introductory offer was $20 for 12 weeks, receiving delivery Thurs-Sunday. I went ahead and cut him a check and began...

It is such a huge burden. I subscribe to Thur-Sun and hardly ever get a full 4 days of deliveries. :(((((
There's not even anyone to really complain to. I want to speak to the supervisor in charge of the delivery people, but it's not possible. It feels like a bunch of kids running the delivery. No real adult who cares.
I wonder if my carrier is ever admonished to aim for the customer's satisfaction; today's delivery was still in the dirt, not in the 11 ft x 13 ft driveway space that was open to receive the paper. The good news is that I didn't have to get down on my knees to search under cars. I estimate that it would only take about three seconds longer to slow his vehicle enough to deliver the paper properly on my driveway. I may soon be using a walker to walk and it will be even more difficult to access my paper. Please, may I just have my paper on my driveway?
I have complained often over the years, yet there has been no improvement in delivery. All I ask is that the paper be placed somewhere on the front of my driveway; usually there is a cement driveway space 11 ft x 13 ft and many times there is an additional open space of 9 ft x 19 ft. The paper is most always thrown so that it slides beyond the drive and ends on a dirt area (mud when it rains or my sprinklers run) or under a car. I am almost 89 years old and it hurts to get down on my knees on concrete to search for a paper; then i have to have a pole to fish the paper out from under a car. It would cost this carrier a lot less time to slow down and get the paper on the driveway than it takes for me to search everywhere to find the paper and get down on my knees to get it. I doubt that the paper has been properly placed more than a few times over the past few years. Other papers are almost always properly place on the driveway. Ron F. 7-16-18
I am so tired of the Sunday paper not getting delivered on time. I wait until 8:00 and call with a promise of a delivery within 90 minutes. Usually close to 9:00 I see the paper in the driveway. I am not sure if it the original delivery finally or a second paper. I cancelled before for the same reason and am close to again. However, the Tribune's record is just as bad. I think the same person delivers both so that is not an option. How hard is it to get a morning paper in this geographic area.
We wait everyday for our newspaper. When you work, having the paper delivered after 7:30 am is not correct. Today is a Sunday, 8:05 a.m. wee get up early and look forward to reading the Times on a Sunday. We have gone through this for so many years!
We left the Daily Bulletin a couple of years ago to get better service and a better paper. Guess What? Its the same delivery person! I guess you do not care about your business. Know wonder people are going to the internet.
LA Times has the worst delivery! I signed up for the Sunday times and this is the 8th time I've called to complain that I haven't received the paper in 5 months. I don't understand what is so difficult with delivering a paper?!?!? Every time I call the customer support center, they tell me they'll deliver it on Monday! I don't want a Monday Times! I WANT THE SUNDAY TIMES! Which means deliver my f#%^ing paper on a SUNDAY! I would NOT recommend the LA Times to anyone! Sign up with the Daily News, their delivery service is a lot better!
