Unpaid for short-term leave
On April 6th, 2022, I was approved for medical leave to have surgery. Isabella Lombardi was in charge of my case and since this was all new to me, I called to get as much information as I could. She told me I was approved and would receive 60% of my pay after I had been out for 7 days. I told her that my doctor informed me he would give me 10 days and felt that was too short, but I didn't feel I had a choice. I had bladder cancer and would have a catheter bag for 8 days and to be off work. She told me she would see if I could get longer time and she would get back to me.
I had the surgery but hadn't heard back from Ms. Lombardi so I sent her an email asking when I should report back to work because I did receive the approval that stated when the short term would start but it had no back to work date. In fact; I didn't here from her for over a week. By that time I went back to work on April 18, 2022 in pain and everyone wondering why I was back so soon. finally on Thursday the 21, 2022 I finally heard from Ms. Lombardi telling me that I was off until May3, 2022. She stated she was sorry for not letting me know that and she had been out the office. I told her I had already worked the 4 days in pain. She said stay at home until then and she would fix the situation and I should be receiving a check in the amount of 544. 38 and do not cash it so that I wouldn't have to pay back in overages. I agreed and was hoping everything was ok.
I went back to work on May 3rd and continued to call and leave messages for Ms. Lombardi when I realized I was being ignored and wondering when I would receive my check because I had no income. She wrote back to say she's waiting on my doctor to send medical records to review for the reopening of my claim!
I kept calling only to be reassigned to someone I had never spoke with before. she told me the same thing to not cash to check which was over 30 days old. She was also very rude and unprofessional. said she would call me back but I never heard anything from her either. Just totally being ignored with phone calls and emails.
I was so desperate and the check that was sent to me that she asked me not to cash had sat on my countertop. My mortgage was past due, my car note along with not being able to even buy food so, I cashed the check only to find that the check was returned and my bank charged me a 12.00 fee. This company only responded blatantly by having their check return the money. I have had to beg and borrow to get by and my bank account is depleted.
I had surgery April 6th and the only check I received was for the 4 days I went back to work from my company; which wasn't enough to get by and that was April 22,2022. I haven't received any monies since then.
I am owed this money from Lincoln Financial yet they have ignored my emails and phone calls. I didn't ask for cancer it chose me. My company supplies Lincoln Financial to it's workers but this is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with and a lot of other coworkers have had problems also with them. I hope I never get sick and have to rely on them ever again.
I want what is owed to me as soon as possible because as of this date I have yet to receive anything from them.
Desired outcome: Full payment for the days that I was approved for short-term disability. April 6th until May 3rd, 2022.
Connecticut paid leave
Before I signed up for paid leave through LFG I called and asked how much I was going to receive. I was told I would receive the capped amount of $780, so I signed up. When it was time to pay me I only received $360. I called and was told there is a record of someone telling me I would receive $780 but I only received $360 due to the amount of time I spent...

Paid for over 30 year same payment now they want to triple the payment or my policy lapses - Rip Off company lead me to believe my payment was locked in when I got it. WARNING THIS COMPANY IS NO MORE THAN A SCAM - STEALING PEOPLES MONEY! They sign up young people then drop them as they get older by raising their rate...You will only see your rep once when they sell you the policy and never hear from anyone again so you believe what they sell you is what you will get... LIE, LIE, LIE
Paid claims but now wants money back
I run a small dental office North of Dallas.
Several months ago, a patient walked in with Lincoln financial group dental insurance. We did not have previous dealings with them. We had the insurance verified and provided treatment.
We accepted their fee schedule which was low to start with but we were a start-up company and the patient was nice so I was okay with it.
We treated the patient to routine procedures then billed the insurance. The insurance initially paid like they were suppose to. Then a few months later, they wanted their money back citing that the patient did not have insurance at the time of treatment and that THEY did not know this at the time of treatment because of a 30 day lapse or something. The first request was for $215 which I sent back, then they wanted another $120 otherwise they were going to sic their collection service at me.
I have been in this business a long time and have never encountered anything like this. Its already difficult running a business at their low fee schedule, now they wont even honor that.
We did not provide all the treatment on the first day so why did Lincoln grp not notify us immediately before we wasted half a day providing treatment?
We, in turn, were unsuccessful in collecting that money we returned to Lincoln from the patient and had to put her on our collection service.
I dont understand why I am paying for THEIR mistake. If they had simply said that the patient did not have active insurance, then I wouldnt have wasted half a day treating her for money that I cant collect from Lincoln. Its companies like lincoln financial grp that makes it difficult to be honest in this type of business.
I feel that it is my duty to warn as many of my collegues as possible (on the internet and otherwise) of your practices as nobody warned me.
Bullying and Harassment of Employees
Lincoln Financial Group, as a business, has a Code of Conduct for all employees. A manager has been reported numerous times for bullying and the harassment of employees with no apparent resolve in the management direction. An underling would be terminated immediately regarding the complaints. Does an underling have less work place rights or perhaps no...

Lincoln Financial Group employs some of the worst management personnel I have ever had the awful experience of encountering.
Numerous complaints of the bullying and harassment of management by employees with the ill luck to be targeted are largely gone unheeded. The company has a Code of Conduct policy which they apparently only put out there for good reading material. Open door policy? I think not. How can an Insurance Company that provides services to individuals allow such poor treatment of their employees?
Bullying and harassment in the work place does not provide for effective employee work. Rethink your options when considering Lincoln Financial Group for group benefits of any kind. Your claim may have a bullied employee on the other side that isn't thinking about your claim but when and how they will be reprimanded by some manager. When a manager posts an entry on her FaceBook account about an employee, there is under lying trouble.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The new REDZONE show sucks. 2 Live Stews need their own show. Burnhardt & Durham need their own show. The show after the REDZONE does not have to be 4 hours. Please change it back to the way it was when the 2 Live Stews were 1-4
Thanks
