Low Pay Card Chris Lane

My son received an unsolicted 'credit card' from Low Pay Card. The only thing he authorized was 'addtional information' and we have now been charged two fees amounting to 118.95. He did not authorize this fee nor did he activate the card. He is filing a complaint with the AG and FTC. If these people contact you, tear up any letter and never, ever call them. I have no idea where they got his checking account information but I am sure the AG will find out.

This is to complaint about card protection services that when i applied it says only one time payment for 1 year and it debiting my account monthly. Since i haven't yet activating my account/card, it's a frustration for me to get a card like lowpay card. I'm not accepting this and i would just like to cancel or terminate my account to you.Thank you.

the same exact thing happend to my husband and i we called about the card and when asked for card number we gave but we said we just wanted to find out information that was it then the lady said that there was a 79.00 activation fee and a one time charge of 120.00 and that it was a merchant card to buy stuff from them and i told her was not interrested and to cancel any more mail from them and to cancel anything in mine or my husbands name and the lady hung up. the next time we got online and checked our account they had pulled 99.00 from our account that just happend to be our bill money and then they pulled a 120.00 from our account and that made our account go overdraawn and our bank said that because it was 2 different amounts that they couldn't put the stop payment on those checks and altert fraud on our account until they did again and it would have to be for the same amount. But the funny thing is that we have to pay the bank back even though we have reported this action was not authorized by either of us. now just the other day they have puled another 120.00 so maybe now the bank will put a fraud alert. But this time it made our account neg and we now have to pay the bank again and thats money we don't have. They even used the same ck number for the 2nd time. This company has got to be stopped! They are total scammers! If you try and email them you just get another email telling you to call customer service and then when you call customer service it hangs up or it states you have reached them after hours and to try back later. so if you get a card in the mail from low pay company run as fast as you can rip that puppy up don't even call cuse you will be next.

Low Pay Card Unauthorized billing

I'm a single mother and I live on welfare, I got suckered into this free credit card, then come to find out it is for vitamins and only the products they sell. I never gave authorization to anyone and now my bank account is $382.00 in the hole and the bank is holding me responsible. I called the 1-800 number and I never get anyone the message hangs up on me. Finally I called a different number I found on the book and the lady told me to wait and I'll get my Welcome Packet with a cancel form that I have to fill out. She said that I would get all my money back once I sent it in. The packet never showed, now I can't get a hold of anyone and owe my bank $382.00, I can't afford!

THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF/SCAM. I NEVER SENT OFF FOR THIS CARD. IT ARRIVED IN THE MAIL WITH MY NAME ON IT.. SO I CALL THE PLACE TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON. AND TO CANCEL IT JUST IN CASE IT HAD BE SET UP IN MY NAME... THESE PPL ASK FOR THE CARD NUMBER AND NEXT THING I KNOW. I LOOK AT MY BANK STATEMENT ON LINE AND THEY TAKEN OUT 79 DOLLARS. AND THEN THEY TOOK OUT ANOTHER 130.00 DOLLARS WITHOUT MY CONSENTING. I TRIED CALLING THE COMPANY SEVERAL TIMES AND ONLY GET A MACHINE THAT HANGS UP. I EMAILED THE SITE AND ASK FOR CANCELLATION AND I ONLY GET AN EMAIL THAT STATES THEY CANT DO CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS REQUEST ON LINE.
THIS IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF/SCAM. I HAVE NEVER USED THE SITE. GO TO YOUR BANKS AND REPORT THIS CRIME HAVE THEM INVESTIGATE... LET STOP THESE CRIMINALS BEFORE THEY GET OTHER HARD WORKING PPL FOR THERE MONEY..

I wanted to get a credit card and one of those sites came up that was $19.95 processing fee for a credit card so I got approved. The lady called me to confirm everything and got my bank account information. I can't remember the lady's name but she told me at the end of the conversation it would be a $79.00 processing fee and $120.00 toward the card from my account. I told her I didn't have that kind of money and that the website said $19.95 for the processing fee and that was it. She said no and argued with me so I told her I had wanted to cancel the order then because I didn't have that kind of money in my account. She said thanks and hung up on me. I had e-mailed the company, called the company, and so on and had gotten charged for the $79.00 and the $120.00. I called for the 9th time and spoke to a guy named Ryan and told him that the lady hung up on me and that I had wanted it canceled and the whole story of what happened. He told me 'well, we've already sent the membership kit to you so there's nothing we can do.' I told him I had canceled in the first place but got hung up on because I didn't have the money and still got charged which caused my bank account to get closed. I talked to my bank and they told me to call the company and talk to one of them to get my money and I told them I have already e-mailed then, called 9 times, and then when I received the kit I had wrote a letter saying I wanted my money refunded to me. I was checking my online bank account to see how much money I had because my rent is due and notice I had $99.00 taken out of my account. I looked to see who took it out and it said the Low Pay Card Inc. I have e-mailed then several times, and called and they will not refund my money for something I didn't want to order. So totaling everything they pretty much stole $298.00 from me causing me to not be able to pay my rent and messing up my whole bank account. So I would really like to have that money refunded back to me like I had asked in the first place. I have a son to take care of and having low life companies stealing hundreds of dollars from me. Thanks.

You'll think your applying for a credit card of sorts... They took $120.00 cancellation fee out of my checking account... I immediately called to cancel - and they said I couldn't cancel until I got my welcome packet in the mail w/ the refund request... I finally got the welcome packet 2 weeks later... immediately filled out the refund form and sent it all back... The paperwork said it can take up to 21 days... so after 21 days I called and asked where is my refund? They said you don't get a refund or you can pay another $190.00 and then we'll reimburse/refund you!

ARE YOU F****** KIDDING ME! SO I'M OUT $120.00 BUCKS! DO NOT USE LOW PAY CARD! ITS A COMPLETE SCAM!

ATTENTION!

THIS COMPANY MUST BE STOPPED
THEY ARE LITERALLY ROBBING CITIZENS

I am one of thousands! My financial institution informed me of crediting thousands of customers daily. YOU MUST READ!

LOW PAY CARD – is pretending to be a loan company offering to advance cash to citizens needing a loan, ultimately denying the loan once they’ve gathered all bank information.

Once they’ve acquired all bank information, a follow up email advising that your account will be deducted processing fees which total over $300 knowing that the customer will decline or cancel the process. Once the process is declined, they will give a cancellation notice and advise that there will be no refunds.

The company is extremely misleading, provides absolutely no services what so ever for the customer and will continue deducting funds from the customers account even if the customer cancels.

I am not the only one this has happened to, my financial institution Bank of America advised that this is happening to thousands of innocent people daily and the company refuses to give important information regarding their organization.

My bank contact for verification is Beck Coste: at [protected] to verify this information. This company needs to be shut down!

My name is Marcee Valentini 3266 Morningdale Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466
And my contact number is [protected]

I am acquiring a list currently of all customers that this has happened to and will follow up with that information in the next six weeks!

Please look into their process of acquiring these accounts and their practice of misleading customers to get into their bank accounts.

THIS IS CRUTIAL INFORMATION AND SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO IMMEDIATELY!

They operate under the name Low Pay Card and their addresses are as follows:

P.O. Box 21804 Los Angeles, CA 90021 as well as
7853 SW Cirrus Drive Beaverton, OR 97008
And their website is: https://www.mylpcard.com/

When a customer calls once the funds have been removed, they are very rude, offer no information and refuse to return the funds. Not only that will continue removing funds from the account even if cancelled! PLEASE ASSIST!
if you want to discontinue the membership.

Response to several customers like this one:

I received a catalog on the 13th of the month and the 14th was the cut-off date for canceling. One of the rules of cancellation is that all the 'stuff' that is sent with the catalog has to be received back within 30 days. I believe they plan that so you can't get out without being tied up in their contract.

The fraud department of my bank is working on getting part of it back, but I'll probably be stuck for $120.00.

I totally agree with this, me and my boyfriend had got this card because I really wanted the marine saber for my dad. I ordered the saber about a mth before christmas and never got it until 2 months later. They have been taking and incredible amount of money out of our bank account ever since, leaving us overdrawn on our checking account, and with no money to pay other bills. This place is a complete crock of ### they need to be shut down and made to reimburse all money taken.

I agree.I got my card about 2 weeks back and activated it and they didn't say anything about an avtivation fee or any money being required from my bank. All they said was it would take a while to get confirmation from my bank.So I look and it says a 25 dollar check return fee because I didn't have the available funds.Funds for what?Does anybody know a site or place where you can report these people as frauds? If so email me at wdbusiness@gmail.com

Low Pay Card Scam and cheating

I did not realize they were going to go into my checking account numerous times and when I tried to cancel over phone was told I had to wait to receive welcome kit before I could cancel. Well, I have not received the kit yet and it has been 3 weeks since that conversation with a csr. After visiting their website, I discovered that I could cancel over the phone but was told that I could not do so. This card is a scam and I hope by writing this letter I can prevent someone else from falling for this scam.

Low Pay Card Scam alert. Ripping off people's bank accounts.

This is the latest fraud scam cooked up by the same hustler/thieves that gave us the real estate debacle. Since milking that cow dry, they have moved on to direct marketing where they can insinuate themselves into your bank account and just simply remove money when they want. When you call up to cancel the service, if you're lucky enough to get a human, you will get a rude idiot who always claims to be new on the job and not sure how to cancel your account. Then you are put on hold for a "Manager" who never arrives, or if they do, their computer always goes down so they can't access your account until the problem's fixed. Or they simply hang up, leaving you with another few hours of fruitlessly trying to contact them. I would assume that the banks would do something about this scam since they are facilitating it. But obviously, as you've discovered, your bank will make it as difficult as possible to cancel their license to steal because they're so overwhelmed with victims of all these new scams that they can't cope. DON'T BECOME A VICTIM OF LOWPAYCARD. When you receive that card that tells you have have $7, 500 in credit, an amount that is immediately upped to $8, 500 as soon as they feel the fish tugging on the line, tear it up immediately and report them. Join one of the many class action lawsuits being prepared to run these scoundrels back into the gutter since law enforcement doesn't seem to have the time or motivation to actually arrest them for mail fraud. We don't have to stand by while these bottom feeders steal money from the people who can least afford it. Report them. Ask your local law enforcement agency to find a way to stop them. STEP UP. DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM OF LOW PAY CARD.

I recieved the letter also. Unlike all of the above comments, I read my letter completely. Which tells me about the fees and what the membership is all about. I can also see how it would be easy to mistake it for what it is not. All of you could have avoided this by simply reading your letter and listening to what the person was saying on the phone. I intentionally called several times to see how many diferent stories I could hear. I was surprized to get the same answers every time! Its like they were reading from a script. I ended up signing up with them. I have now filled my house with beautiful stuff directly from the catalog you guys are calling a scam. You guys are crazy or illiterate. Take your pick.

I just got this letter in the mail too. People need to read stuff before just signing... and activating. It looks like you curious people just saw the $7, 500 and went completely dumb. It's a lot of money... yeah, but it states it very clearly that you can only by from their catalogue. It also states in the back that upon your approval, they'll apply a $75 non-refundable fee. People, please READ before signing... and those of you whose spouse gave the bank account number away... please, get mad at your spouse (first of all). He/She shouldn't be giving out your information (even if it's some kind of combined account) away without your approval.

One thing I don't approve of is the deliberate withdrawal from a bank account without prior approval of the account holder. If you truly did not sign anything declaring you agree to the withdrawal of a certain amount from your bank account at a certain date, then you should talk to people at your bank so that it can be cleared up... and you will most likely have to cancel that account and open a new one. Pretty troublesome, but that's the way things go.

They try to corner you and make you agree to an investigation status that will prevent them or anyone from talking about your case including YOU!

They state that they can only then talk to local police etc. etc.. All BS since this would not be your local police investigation.

Don't agree to anything involving "placing your account on..." when you complain directly to them simple get as many facts as you can and then contact you State's Attorney General's office.

All
Its truly sad to hear the stories of people who have fallen to this Scam. I got this card in my mail today and I tried calling up the customer service to y cancel the card, however, it said that before I even speak to the customer service, I need to activate the card, which I didnt. Having read the scams on this site and few others, I called up my bank and notified them to keep a watch on any suspicious activities. What I am unsure about is that even without applying or giving away any of the bank information, how can these guys pull out money from your account..this still surprises me.

Anyways, the best thing is to have the bank notified about this so that they can keep a watch.

In case they try stealing money from them, i am gonna have them sued.

Low Pay Card Scam and rip off!

This outfit collects $400.00 for which you get nothing but a card and a catalog to purchase their junk... NOT NAME BRANDS. The appeal, I guess, is that you can buy this junk on a monthly basis at no interest. They are very uncooperative when trying to get out of it. The $200.00 yearly membership dues is owed to them even if you want to discontinue the membership.

I received a catalog on the 13th of the month and the 14th was the cut-off date for canceling. One of the rules of cancellation is that all the 'stuff' that is sent with the catalog has to be received back within 30 days. This company took money from my checking account once they said was a debit and the other was a check. My checking account has been closed and thanks to them I owe my bank which has now sent it to collections $400.00. That's not including what I had to pay to stop them two other times. The rest was done after I had taken everything out of my account so that they would not be able to get my money. And then I find out that they had charged again. I want my money back and all the charges I have been charged from my bank back from these thieves.

To all who havent read your freakin letter your not the the brightest bunch. Reading is fundamental... First off its the best way to understand how actual credit works before you truly dig your self in a deep whole in credit... Also there is quality goods um, scam dont think so... A scam is company gets your money no benefits at all and ahh gee what is next no one to contact so think.. Reading again is truly fundamental... You get exactly what is said in the letter. This is the most unethical and rude comany that I have ever dealt with. I was taken in by their scam and ended up paying over $400 in fees and never even received the card or a catalogue. I left messages over 7 times for someone to call me back and then when I finally reached someone, their "system" was down- how convenient! I finally got a hold of someone yesterday who was the most rude and condescending idiot that I have ever had to deal with. I am so sorry that I did not look into them before signing up- but I have too trusting of a nature however, I will never ever fall scam again. When I tried to cancel, I got quite the runaround and when I reminded the young man on the line that they have been reported to BBB on numerous occassions and I had yet to find one nice thing on the internet about their company, he told me that I was crazy and that they have hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers. Well, being called crazy did not sit well with me and I proceeded to give him a piece of my CRAZY mind. I got a cancellation confirmation number so we will see. My bank was not able to do anything (Citibank) but I did report them to fraud department and was told that the best thing is to cancel my checking account and open a new one. I would love to be part of class action suit or at least be part of a legal action to shut these idiots down.

This is the worst credit card company I've ever witnessed. Each call renders you on hold for 20 minutes each time! I canceled membership shortly after receiving the catalog, because I did not care for it at all. I have been waiting for over one full month for this company to reimburse me for the initial membership fee, as I canceled within the 30-day...
