McMahon RV Rip off and liars

Wanted to buy a small van sized camper; salesman drove down from Irvine with a 24.5 foot Mercedes Sprinter by forest river; told him it was for dry camping:

1. Lied about the size of the main bed said it was a queen, the the sheets said full. Said he could put a Photovotaic system to keep batteries charged for dry camping; sold me a $800.00 kit for $19, 500. Said could charge of generator. Only has a 10 gallon propane tank that runs the Genreator at 1 gallon per hour; said the deep cycle 6 volt batteries it comes with would last long enough for my purposes. Said it was ready with sat dish etc, but, it Wasn’t Irvine is 2 1/2 hours north of my home; get Different answer from every Person i deal with there; salesman just plain denies saying bed was queen, though we questioned it’s apparent size. Sent us away from finance office at 10:00 p.m. After 6 hours of Doule talk.

2. While i only spent $90, 000.00 out the door i have had to spend almost $10, 000 on batteries and Solare equipment…. They told me the Didn’t m AKE enough of the sale but, it was the originally quoted price and there were two more on there web site two days latter when i was looking for specs to make it a dry camper; they are not very good at getting back to me, the service department Referes to the Salesmen As “just salesmen”

We were also ripped off by McMahon RV out of FMCA rally in Indio, CA. The salesman told us we would have the heat pump furnace on our coach. But when we picked the coach up the next week in Quartzite no heat pump furnace was part of the package. The paperwork that covers all the parts and extras included was gone. And since we cannot prove it was part of the deal, we loose... Overall I would also say that McMahon's follow up and customer service stinks. We have had a hard time getting all the things on our Due Bill completed and getting things that were missing from the coach (missing window screens, completion of satellite installation) finished. I will never recommend that one purchase an RV from McMahon. We are still missing our license plate two months after purchase.

I agree with you, you were ripped off. If you can prove what the salesman told you, and did not deliver then you have recourse! File a complaint with the California DMV. They do not like dealers who rip off customers especially since there is no cooling off period in California. Dealers can be held liable for the accessories or the lack there of that you were promised. GO TO THE DMV WEBSITE FILE THE COMPLAINT, THEN WATCH WHAT HAPPENS!

I bought an RV from them. The salesman lied, deceived, cheated, and sold me a defective vehicle that was not even legal or safe to operate. My complaints were ignored. No satisfaction was forthcoming. Do not deal with this company under any circumstances or I believe they will cheat you also.
