MNI Credit Report Services Unauthorized charges!

Somehow my phone number and address got posted as the contact information for MNI Credit Report Services. I was just posting a complaint against this company for deducting unauthorized charges from my account. I try to access my account online and every time I try I get the same message - "my log in information or password is incorrect" - there is no way to get in touch with this company to have them stop deducting this from my account. PLEASE STOP CALLING ME, I AM NOT CONNECTED IN ANY WAY WITH MNI CREDIT REPORT SERVICES, I'm in the same boat as everyone else, they keep taking money from me and I cannot stop it.

I received a charge on my Visa 8-18-07 from MNI CREDITRPT Services [protected]) for 9.95. I thought this was the charge for our Credit Score. Now on 9-18-07 I am being charged again for this amount from this company. I called to find out what the company was and he said he couldn't give me any information without my Social Security number. I refused to give it to him and am now writing you. My next step will be to contact the credit card co. Please advise me smb as to how I can stop these unauthorized charges.

Thank you for your help. David S. Trudeau.

This company charged to my credit card 10 payments of 9.95 each. I failed to discover this until the 10th payment. I did not, knowingly, sign up for this service, neither did I use it at any time. I was under the impression I was applying for a FREE CREDIT REPORT, which I really did not need. My score was very high without my even checking it.
I feel I have really been ripped off by the company. They offered to give me credit for 2 payments, but my credit card no. has been changed and it is impossible for them to do so. I am an 80-year-old widow and cannot afford this service, neither do I want it--even if it were FREE. I have requested that they mail me the $95.00 and show me that they are acting in good faith.

After ordering a Free Credit Report and cancelling the report within the required period of time, I am receiving charges from MNI Credit Report Services for $11.95 per month. I tried calling them to cancel the report and asking for a refund, they advised me that the report was in my deceased husbands name (over two and a half years) and could not cancel without a death certificate. I have advised my dredit card company of the fraudalent charges and have been given a credit by the credit card company. What a rip-off!

I obtained a widely advertised "Free Credit Report" and 34 days later found a charge from MNI Credit Reporting Services on my VISA bill.

I phoned and got a lady who cancelled my alleged "account" but refered me to a "Phil" to get the $11.95 charge credited. Phil insisted I had agreed to it and had given my VISA number. I hadn't and the lady said they take it off the credit report automatically. Allegedly I had my "free" report but the money was for an ongoing subscription I allegedly agreed to. When I got nowhere with him and his lies, I asked for HIS supervisor but suspect I got the guy sitting next to him with a heavy accent. He insisted on my S.S. number which I had refused. But I had given my name and last four S.S. digits to the first lady. He denied that he could access the issue without my S.S. I informed him I had already been scammed and wasn't about to give it to his agency. He basically told me to fly a kite and denied that he could access the same information when I offered to give him the cancellation number the first lady had given me.

With my VISA bill arriving 34 days after the initial request for my "free" credit report there was no way I could cancel something I hadn't even agreed to in the first place.

I have already sent info to a class action legal firm. More of the scammed should do likewise. And write to you federal legislators as this scam begins with heavy TV advertising for "free" credit reports (required by federal law) and results in this scam.

I too am being charged $11.95 monthly for the last four months. I have purchased a credit report from a different Credit Reporting Company and have not applied for a free credit report since 2006. I will attempt to contact this credit reporting agency today and am willing to join any lawsuit going against this company! I have already complained at www.ftc.gov.

Please do the same... get this fraud to stop!

Was charged $29.95 and then $49.95 for free credit report for $19.95 and keeps charging $9.95 per month on my credit card. Had to cancel credit card services but still get a bill every month. I did not authorize anything other than the credit report for $19.95.

I attempted to get my credit score from a "free" company, and they have charged my credit card now 7 times @ $9.95 per charge. I did not sign up for a membership, at least I had no recollection of doing so. They just kept charging my card. I finally called the no. and they tell me I am a member of a credit monitoring service. This is not good business.

MNI Credit Report Services Refused refund!

I recently recd a charge on my bank account for a credit report I did not authorized or did not know about. When I called a client service rep he became very nervous and had to transfer me to a Specialist, which disconnected me. I called back and spoke with another CSR, her name Susan. She canceled my so called membership, but would not refund the $11.95 charge. Then hung up on me. I called back and got Susan again, she was rude and unhappy to hear it was me again, then I was told I should have read the agreement. I did and I read is as: if at the end of the process I could indicate if I wanted this report. I asked for a manager and was put on hold for 20 minutes. This credit company is not here to help, its here to make is money and scam everyone.

MNI Credit Report Services Charging monthly fee!

They adv. - free credit report - no charge! But, need a credit card #. Should have known better - but, gave it. Got the rating, and at the same time, stated: I do not want your service - never intended to sign up for service - DO NOT USE MY CARD - DO NOT SIGN ME UP FOR THIS SERVICE - NEVER DEDUCT A FEE FROM ME! Two weeks later, I was e-mailed stating that nothing had been reported on me. I immediately e-mailed them - stating: I do not want your service - I did not sign up for service - I only did the "free" one time check! My bank statement shows a debit on my account in the amo. of $11.95!

This company claimed that they can give a credit report for free. When I went through the registration process, I not only received a report I couldn't understand, they also charged my credit card. I never authorized the charge and didn't know that there was a cancellation period. I noticed there have been so many complaints against this company. So why are they still allowed to operate? I tried looking for their phone number online but couldn't find any information. I tried calling one number and they asked for my account number which I don't have. Then after they passed me around a few times, I talked to a customer service agent who said I have the wrong company. What the hell? How do I cancel this thing if I can't even get in touch with them. My Husband and I just recently refinanced our house. He obviously used CreditReport.com. I checked the site out, and at the Shopping Cart page it says ... "Did you know...

By ordering a free credit report, you will automatically be enrolled in a 30 day free trial of credit monitoring. You will receive automatic notifications of changes to your credit report. You will be billed $9.95 for each month that you continue your membership if you do not cancel your membership within the trial period. You may cancel anytime – there is no obligation."

I wish my husband read this and told me, or I had paid more attention to the emails I received regarding the monitoring service.

Ironically, MNI has a website, cardpal.com, where you can report fraudulent charges...

At the urging of Arlington County Police, my wife signed-up with "free 30 day credit card reports" as my son's i.d. had been stolen. My wife naively gave this company #3 social security numbers and our credit card number. Result... she forgot to cancel... after 30 days and M.N.I. has been billing my credit card in the amount of 11.95 ..three times each month for the past three months. My calls to their office have met with no satisfaction.

Please alert others regarding this company's scam.

Watch for charges on your credit after getting a "free" credit report from MNI Credit Reports. They will begin charging your credit card $11.95 every month thereafter. The will NOT reverse the charges for the current month charged.

I've told them to cancel my "subscription" and not to charge me again, I guess we shall see.

I have never contacted or used this company and somehow they have gotten my credit information and are automatically debiting 9.95 per month out of my account. I called [protected] and was kept on hold for 15 minutes then someone answered and hung up on me. This happened 4 times. I will have to stop payment at my bank.

MNI is charging my credit card $11.95 per month for supposed credit checks. I have not authorized them to make these credit checks and have certainly not authorized them to charge my account. I had my old card information stolen and reported it to the federal trade commission and to the big 3 for credit check verifications. Now I'm being charged each month for something I didn't authorize.

MNI Credit Report Services Fraud and stealing!

Used my credit card to obtain a ONE TIME credit report for my boss. I was NOT informed that there would be a recurring monthly charge of $19.90 for the "monitoring service" that I did not elect to subscribe to. When I called to close the account the customer service rep told me that I was not authorized to cancel the service because the report was generated for someone other than myself. The rep said that REGARDLESS OF THE FACT THAT I WAS THE ONE BEING CHARGED MONTHLY, only the person that the credit report was generated for had the authority to cancel the service (she stated that this was "by law"). I can't believe that I don't have the authority to cancel something that is being charged TO ME every month! What kind of "law" is this?!?! You mean to tell me that there is no law stating that I have the authority to cancel charges being made to my own account?!?!? Unless I obtain permission from a person who is not liable for the debt being created nor is listed on any of my accounts!

I recently received notice from my bank that my credit may have been in danger. They suggest I get my 3 free credit reports. I did this. Apparently there is an area where they sign you up for a free credit report service for 30 days. You must cancel before the 30 days are up. I received a charge of 11.95 on 9/26/07 and 10/26/07. My credit card gave me credit for the first charge.
I called them today and they said the charges are for credit report service for my wife. I gave my name and her name when I signed up for the free credit report service.
This is a scam and there are numerous articles in google about how this company is overcharging many people. The advertising is deceptive. The statement about the free 30 day trial of credit reporting is deceptive.
When asked to delete the charges they stonewall me and say NO. The other 2 companies willingly rescinded the charges

I fell for the same trap. The sight said free report which I never got and after one month I canceled the service but have been charged for over 7 months. Can not get the bank to cancel the charges without charging me 20.00 stop payment fee and cant get them to stop charging my account. What a scan. I am actually closing my account in order to get away from this charge.

I just received my monthly billing from Chase Cardmember Service and it shows a billing of $12.95 from MNI*Credirrptservices. A few weeks ago I requested an advertised FREE credit report, which I did receive. I did not sign up for anything but that one-time credit report. Therefore I am contacting Chase and advising them I am not paying for that transaction.
