Nexon America A joke company

Vindictus is about the most rip off game i have ever played there moderators in the forums are a joke you cant have any one use your pc or ip address to talk to them or they think your the owner witch is really scary that they can track your pc and all your info before it starts. There enhancement is a joke there gm's can run around with max gear but they offer no protection for the players to get past 10 to 15 they say it is against T.O.S. to buy or sell nx or gold but every one in game you see with max gear is buying gold and they never get bann real fair. on top of it nexon his selling gold in there own game witch is against there own t.o.s. and it never gets investigated on i personally think nexon america needs to be sued and have every thing they own removed and shut down do to there dishonesty and should have to pay all of us back for there B.S.

Nexon America customer support

So, I forgot my password for my Mabinogi game account and I went through the password retrieval process and both times I got temporary passwords that did not work. =/ I called the number that is supposed to be the corect number for their customer support and a voice said over and over again, "thank you for calling nexon america customer support line. If you know your party's extension please dial it now." and then it was silent for a good minute or two and it kept on repeating that. This is ###. People spend real money on this game and its ridiculous we can't get any help. Who can i complain to?

No one at all. You will be ignored about 97% of the time I would say. Games are risky, especially free ones. They go for your money by adding addicting or visually appealing factors to it and then this company gives no care to customers.

Nexon America Banning!

My 13yo daughter was playing Maple Story and noticed a software glitch. The monsters were not attacking her. She continued to play the game as any kid would do. The next day she was banned from the site for hacking! Since Nexon has no published numbers, we submitted the problem via their "customer service" interface - what a joke. The response we got back said:

"Be advised that continuing to stay online while experiencing a glitch is considered exploiting and carries the same penalty as if you were hacking intentionally. If you become glitched again in the future be sure to log off immediately and reboot your system. Do NOT stay online if you are glitched."

No where that we could find is such a rule stated... and just what 13yo computer illiterate girl is going to understand this.

If anyone knows of a number to call, I'd sure appreciate it...

This company is horrible, but anyone can see that if they just take a look.

I can agree with the posts saying in the end, Nexon has their ### pretty much covered when it comes to the ToS. The bottom line is they can do whatever they want with your account, whenever they want.

The disgusting part comes in with how the company itself operates. They prey on children to buy digital items that expire and they constantly employ tactics to make it so that you CANNOT play this game effectively without spending money on it some way (whether you do it illegally through a "gold selling" service for in-game currency, or spend it on Nexon's "NX Cash").

Take, for example, the Gachapon system in Maple Story. Has anyone even SEEN how this system works? I realize the initial post is old, but the Gachapon system has been around for quite a while - one of the first Cash Shop items available. Essentially, you buy a ticket called a "Gachapon ticket" that you feed to a NPC (non-player character) in the game. This NPC in turn will give you a randomized item in return, sometimes good, mostly junk. That's essentially GAMBLING for f***ing 12 year olds, and they buy into it. These tickets cost $1.00 USD a pop, too. Not cheap.

I understand that it's usually up to parents to purchase these things for their kids, but believe it or not kids DO steal their parents credit cards and buy ### without their notice. Nexon has even since made it easier by placing their game-card in stores for children to go and buy without the use of a credit card, and activate online. No parents necessary. Have a Shoppers Drug Mart in your town? Target? Future Shop? Walgreens? Wal Mart? Yep, you can buy a f***ing Nexon card!

Everything Nexon does, I suppose, is legally protected by their ToS. They're not doing anything illegal - but they're disgusting in the fact that they create such a f***ing acidic environment for kids to be in. The game is simple, appealing, and the company inputs every possible system to force you to buy their NX Cash. One can argue that kids understand what they're taking part in, sure, but kids are compulsive. They don't need to worry about the next bill they're paying, or putting food on the table, etc. Any money they can and do make is usually going to be thrown at something fun (I'm aware there's exceptions). Nexon abuses their knowledge of this fact and essentially manage to provide young children with a way to gamble with their money legally.

I've created an entire rant off of just ONE of the schemes present in ONE of Nexon's MANY games. There's more where that came from, but you'd have to play the game to understand how most of the business-model mechanics work (e.g. allowing you to buy items that give considerable in-game advantages, yet expire, or providing such limited "inventory space", combined with SO MANY DIFFERENT ITEMS being available in game that you need to purcahse a $6.40 USD storage upgrade MULTIPLE times).

This company is both genius and absolutely disgusting. They've created games where kids get sucked in, compulsively spend money, and have found a way to somehow not give a ### when things go wrong for their customers. Even if they're swamped with tickets going in for complaints/issues, that's Nexon's issue and they need to find a way to f***ing fix it.

But hey, kids keep coming into the world, right? Kids keep hitting the age where this appeals to them, and they keep hitting the age where it doesn't. Nexon can provide ### customer service because kids just give up that easy, and it's easy to abuse business mechanics on kids who may be intelligent, but don't necessarily know any better. The cycle will just continue until Nexon finds themselves in financial/legal trouble, which will probably never happen. Bravo, Nexon, you are officially one of the smartest and most disgusting companies I and many, many others have ever had the displeasure of working and playing with. I can only assume and find solace in the fact that when the CEO goes home at night, the only people who give a ### about him are his family - and perhaps even they don't. The "11 million people playing Maple Story" sure as f*** don't.

I find it hilarious just how truly stupid, dense and oblivious Nexon fanboys are. Go back to the Nexon boards. These are boards for adults.

Example:
In trying to undermine the OP's problem, Steve and Kk both attacked the parent for "raising illiterate" children. Not realizing that while trying to make themselves look smart and making the OP look stupid, they had no idea what "computer literate" means.
Or,
the ultimate irony, they themselves can't read or comprehend for dick, and missed the "computer" part.

Thus, making their accusations toward raising illiterate kids merely a case in point, as their parents clearly [censor]ed up.

you know, i hate it when u try to start a campaing against a company and then some people call you [censor] or [censor] holes and other names like that becaus eits been a few months since i played MS. i had an account with 36+mil and all 30+ characters. i forgot my PS and isent out a new one. i never got it and i checked every day. it never showed up in spam and i checked every email i had and nothing. so i sent out a ticket to get back my password on a different account and no reply yet its been MONTHS. do they just not care or what?
my aunt is a laywer and ill see if i could sue nexon for they're [censor] CS. i hope so but oh well. i wish they had a phone line but they're to gay of a [censor] to have one. dumb [censor]

1. They are fully and savagely taking advantage of their paying customers.
2. Their customer service is only indicative of how very little they actually give a [censor] about thier customers.
3. If I ever meet a Nexon America employee, I wont hesitate to [censor] you up for all the grief you've caused.( I pray for the opportunity to do this)
4.This is a goddamn video game for [censor]s sake, I've never played a game w/ such a complicated, narrow perspective on a players rights. A company that takes complete and utter liberties w/ its players up to and including banning accounts w/o due cause, providing very little based on the money they make, not responding to the many legitimate outstanding issues people have w/ their service and the consitency of the games. Ugh, I could rant forever about this company but all I can say is this, I hope the owners eat [censor] and die painful deaths, I hope the game dies soon, and I hope someone scams or hacks nexon out of all thier profits, or atleast to a point at which they cannot operate anymore. And to all you dousche [censor] out there who call the same TOS [censor], firstly, punch your parents for breeding [censor]s, and furthermore remember that legality/morality/and justice shouldnt all be integrated into your [censor] rebuttals towards people concerned w/ this company.

Brothers and Sisters, Nexon is a simple-minded when it comes to sense of sympathy. I recommend you all to start a Strike or Industrial Action to make good means of JUSTICE! In the past century, some company made such this rules, not everyone must depend on rules if there really is thoughtless and weak sense to the public of USA. If we love our most lovely country, we must do everything to protect the rights of our beloved USA.

Nexon America has some of the ### customer service I have ever seen in my entire life.

I can sympathise with your argument, ok, technically it was "exploiting a glitch", but she didn't know any better. 13 years old ? I don't think she should be held accountable.

In Combat Arms, my best friend got banned the other day. He was a CAPTAIN IV . That's a very, very high rank. I've known him since I was 5 years old, and he doesn't hack. The reason he got banned ? "Hacking/Botting" .

Nexon America will ban you at any time, for what ever reason they want. I suggest you don't spend any money on their games at all. Otherwise, you risk losing time and money. Pointless.

I live in New Zealand, and am going to call their HQ tomorrow. Tell them what's what.

I say this because I bought NX off of nexon.net and i bought 15 dollars USD and see i paid with paypal and then the money came out of my bank account i looked it up online it says NEXON AMERICA took $15 out of your checking/savings account. Now they banned my account wont answer my emails cuz their CS sux and so far maples going down hill after v62 right about the time Nexon took over and im a hard coo ms freak and they banned my lvl 194 main i have been playing since v.32, :1st time maple came out! idk what to say anymore anyone want to play some WoW? lol jk not that big of a nerd but anyways they banned me like many others for no reason.

For future reference, this 13 year old girl IS, IN FACT, immune to such rules. As stated in the TOS the account actually belongs to her mother, as you must be 18 years of age to make the agreement. This means that her mother is liable for her actions and should therefore observe her daughter's doings to prevent the banning of her account. Also, I have an example or two about Nexon lying about their TOS.
