North Roberts Dental Group Poor Service, Unethical Billing

Worse Dentist I've ever gone to. Not interested in your care only interested in selling you stuff you don't need. Administrative staff is pathetic, they will over bill you for everything, then send an invoice to you for a balance but not able to tell you what it is for.
DON'T GO THERE!

Had a scheduled appt and called 6 days prior and left a message to cancel the appt. Well, I later got a 40.00 bill because they say I didn't call to cancel. Officer Mgr gave me this balony about not being able to depend on answering machines because they didn't always work? Someone there made a mistake in not canceling my appt in their system. E-mailed their Corp office 1 week ago and still haven't heard from them. DO NOT use this clinic. Their office mgr is a complete knuckle head!

I needed to change dentists because my insurance changed. First and foremost, this dental office is about $$$, not caring for the patient. Crystal the hygienist runs the show, from start to finish and the dentist i was with, DR Z they call him, obviously just an employee for the "ghost" owner. The ghost owner, Dr. Jerry Nutt has an "F" with the BBB and is not accredidated. Next, Crystal explained that I had Periontitis and needed a "deep" cleaning otherwise I would lose my teeth. I had a cleaning 1 year prior and she said it wasn't my fault they didn't tell me. When I saw a chart under the desk with pictures of the phases of periontitis, I asked her what phase mine was in and she said advanced, which showed SEVERE gum/tooth decay. I questioned this because I have no decay. She said the poster was wrong. Dr. Z came in and concurred with Cyrstal's findings. Money planner person came in later with a $1500 procedure plan cleaning. Yeah, not making this up. $500 was for antibiotics! I scheduled the cleaning (like an idiot) but before I left, Dr Z suggested I see the PERIODONTIST (crystal said I would have to see him 1 month after the cleaning) and then get this...he winked at me...as if to say...get another opinion buddy. I went to another dentist and got a regular cleaning. No problems. Crystal is unethical and needs a good whoopin. Dr Z at least knows it's wrong and has a conscious.

I wish I would have read the reviews about these HORRIBLE people. The dentist, Dr. Harris, was rude and hurt me badly. The people at the front desk are just as bad. I think it's funny how they told me how bad my teeth and gums were, but my new dentist seems to disagree. I was told by North Roberts that my gum disease was in such an advanced state, that I had a good chance of losing my teeth soon. I decided to go ahead and move forward with treatment and bought a $175 toothbrush to help my gum disease. I came back in for a visit and then was told that the treatment did no good and that I should have surgery, by a surgeon they recommend, of course. DO NOT go there.

I wish I would have read these reports before I chose to go to North Roberts Dentist.
They definitely tell you that you need a lot of care that you don't really need. Also, my 21 year old daughter and I had ex rays and when comparing the bills I was charged over 100 dollars for the same procedures. Even the ID code was the same.
Then they took it upon themselves to combine our bills even though we did not come their at the same time and she is grown, and bill me for everything. When they were not able to get the money from me. Because they had my daughters Debit card information, They took all the money from her bank account. Attached to the receipt is a bill addressed to me. They claim we were a part of a family plan and that gave them the right to take there money from any family member. They have no contract stating any of this that my daughter nor I signed and agreed to. I think we need to get together and do a class action suite. That is the only way to get these crocked businesses to wake up.

I agree with the complaints, and I too have been North Roberts Dental victim!
Presently, I am waiting on a refund for an over payment I was charged and then challenged them on. Apparently, someone keyed several different things in incorrectly on two different claims.
My claim is from October...It is March! I have a call in for Wendy (office manager) to return my call to tell me why I have not received my refund that she agreed on four weeks ago. Unfortunately, Wendy does not return calls, and no one will give you the name of her boss!
I could go on and on about other things, but I will just give you my opinion: Don't GO THERE!

I strongly agree with the person above. I needed to get a root canal, so i want to North Roberts Dental Group in kennesaw. They told my wife one price the first time than when i went to get checked up it grew, no by much so i ignored it . Later i went back for a deep cleaning which was expensive, and i told them i did not want there cleaning kit because it was to pricey. I found that kit online at half the price. When i went in the adjusted everything to meet the amount we agreed on, with the kit i was surprised but it did not pass the amount so i just paid it. One week later i got a bill, stating that they mad a mistake and wanted more money.

So as i said, the person above is correct. They are crooks and i will be filing a report on the BBB so others don't get scammed like i did.

North Roberts Dental Group Horrible service

I went to North Roberts dentist for a routine cleaning. That is all! In the lobby they had a new flat screen tv, promoting the horrors of oral cancer. When I sat down in the dentist chair the hygienist (Kystal - HORRIBLE!) stated, it was their new policy I had to have an oral cancer exam or they couldn't clean my teeth. After a 1/2 hour consulting with their office manager about their lack of customer service for not telling patients ahead, I decided to go ahead. It cost $65 (I'm mad). Okay, then the hygienist check my gums and says I need a procedure to do a deep cleaning that cost, get this, $836. Oh yes, and if I didn't get the procedure done, she couldn't even clean my teeth. So I walked away with a, get this, $100 bill.

In the pass checking my gums was always FREE, but today they said it cost $25 (plus my $10 co-pay), and in the past three years, she said, "Someone dropped the ball for not charging me to check my gums." Unbelievable!

Since they got this new dentist, Dr. Harris, all of a sudden I have cavities, need crowns on 6 teeth ($960 each), and so many problems that wasn't discovered just 6 months before. Before Dr. Harris, the previous dentist said my teeth were great. Krystal and Dr. Harris, are a team that is stealing patients blind. DON'T YOU DARE GO THERE!

Stay away from this rip off office.
All they care is your money, don't make the same mistake I've made, the only thing they don't charge for is the air you breath. You've been warned!

I agree with this. They are horrible. There's a new dentist and he's OK but the office staff - where do they get these people! I can't give details right now...

But they DO have a 'F' rating with the BBB:

I agree! The dental service is OK but good grief! Their office staff and their corporate in Destin Fl - if the insurance check isn't there in 2 weeks, they threaten collections and if you end up over paying because of THEIR mistaken billing, they won't reimburse you even after agreeing that they owe you the money back!

No problem here. I did have some gum disease (bleeding) which I've had for years. After following their procedures I'm much better. They are higher, but I went to Great Expressions previously and they were much worse. I'm satisfied with the service and they have always been very courteous and professional.
