Don't believe them – and no check was provided
I was scammed by the company Probe Market Research. I participated in the phone interview, which provided the rep Lynette Eberhart. I spoke with her and provided all replies to her questions, and after that she promised to send me the check for $100. I of course believed to this crap, but they didn’t provide such checks and impossible to find this rep. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Let’s share views about this company.
Secret shopper scam
Probe Market Research sent check and secret shopper material. I was supposed to put check in my own bank account and then send out 2 money orders (check was for $3325 or so) and keep about $300 for the assignment. I emailed them that I don’t want to participate at all and used USPS to send back check and materials.

I've participated in a several of Probe's market research studies and focus groups. They are a legit organization. It sounds like you were interviewed/prescreened for the study. However, you are only paid if you are selected and actually participate in the study or focus group. Probe and other market research companies are looking for individuals with specific backgrounds, skills, and experiences and determine this by prescreening people in the phone interview. You are not paid for the prescreening interview.
