Retention Law Center Fraud

This company (Retention Law Center) represents itself as a Law Firm (Law Group) who assists individuals working with their mortgage lender in a 'Loan Modifications'. They represent themselves as a firm who; "Specialize in helping home owners negotiate and restructure the terms of their mortgage notes. I paid nearly $4, 000.00 (four thousand dollars) in fees up front under the terms of a Attorney-Retainer Agreement and received nothing but the run around for the past several months. As of the writing of this complaint all contact numbers for this company have been disconnected and I can reach no one from this firm to assist me further in my loan modification. In the end, I'm out nearly $4, 000.00 and will need to contact my mortgage lender to work though this on my own. SEE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS FOR ADDN'L INFORMATION

Retention Law Center Home Modifications

Please read! I received a letter in the mail for Retention Law Center informing me that they could help with getting me a loan modification from Wells Fargo...due to the fact I had fallen behind in my mortgage payments due to loss of employment. I received a letter from them and jump on board head first paying them 1, 150 a month for 3 months, and just last week I received a notice from the court house giving me 20 days to get out or respond to the letter. So of course I was in total shock, I went to thinking why would I be receiving this letter if Retention Law already submitted my paper work to Wells Fargo for a home modification? So at that point I contacted Wells Fargo and was informed that this company NEVER submitted any paper work on my behalf! So here I am even further behind then ever and the only thing that is going to save my home is filing bankrupt! More money More Lawyers!

I agree with the other people that have message on this board. I had the same experience and fell into the trap. Paid them $1127 for 3 months for fees they said that would be required for them to help me. I did receive a letter from my lender saying that Retention Law Center would be representing me. Well towards the end they did nothing. Came back 3 months later and told me that I was denied from my lender. I do advice to call them and tell them that you want your money back and let them know that if they don't give you your money back you will file a complaint with that State Bar, Stage Attorney General, etc. The so called negotiator we had by the name of Kimberly Slater did nothing but had us sent her paperwork that she just sent to our Lender for us. I could of done that myself if I would of known that was all she was going to do and then you could never talk to her on the phone over your case because she said that it would take her entire time if she would have to update her clients by phone. Well now I know that if we were true clients and they worked for their clients that is exactly what she should of done is talk to us on the phone not only talk to us on the phone when she was telling us bad news or if she needed more paystubs or bank statements. Please do call them and file a complaint. The more people we get to do this then they can't treat others like this. ..and the more people we get to call them the better they will know we are serious and have been treated unfair and want our money back. Here is her number if you guys want to call her she is the negotiator for the cases. She is the one that negotiates the deals between you and the lender. [protected]. Pass this message around they can't take advantage of us that need help and take what little we have for nothing in return.

YES Retention Law Center proves to be a scam! Unfortunately, just like the person labeled New Start, I lost money to these people as well...and yes, I also received the foreclosure letter and had three weeks until my house would be sold! When I called Wells Fargo, they said they couldn't speak with me because I had legal representation. I don't understand if they thought I had legal representation why they still pursued foreclosure actions...Lesson learned! I will tell any and everyone that will listen, that Retention Law Center is FULL OF BULL, DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM!

I totally agree and they ktaylor, kslater, wadams, kcoria, and jcobb all with RLC have done me the same way. They had me send a wire transfer 0f 1200.00 to save me from bank of America. After I sent the money, I found it to be a scam. I emailed and texted them to send the monies back to me and received no answer just being ignored. How do you go about getting back the money I sent returned.

Retention Law Center promotes its loan modification kit. The text describing the kit implies you are buying sophisticated hardware that will help a self-employed individual calculate profit and loss. They actually say you will receive two interactive softwares, but the softwares are a total rip off.
