Shop Flip Flops Unauthorized charges

I also have had problems with Shop Flip Flops, i ordered a pair of swarovski flop flops back in AUG 08, there were the wrong size and Alan from shop flip flops agreed to exchange them. He gave me an address in Texas to send them to and i never recived the new pair, nor did i receive a refund. Its not 9 months later and i'm still sending e-mails to Kent trying to organize a refund and i'm getting nowhere! Terrible customer service! I have now given them over $100 and have nothing to show for it! The flip flops were for my wedding and its pretty sad to say the hardest thing about planning my wedding was trying to get flip flops from Shop Flip Flops. I will continue to lodge complaints about their company until i get a refund!

Shop Flip Flops Scammer

I ordered wholesale of havaianas flip flops from them and paid thru bank wire transfer on October 14, 2008 (US$ 1869.95). After a week or two of waiting they claimed that the transfer has not been received by them. My next course of action was to do a bank wire reversal since it is taking too long for them to receive the fund and it was then that I have read some negative comment(s) about their company. The reversal didnt push through because their bank said it is only them (Shop Flip Flops) that can authorize the reversal since the fund was already received by them (this is when they replied to me that they have received the transfer), and their bank hold the fund for 120 days as they have claimed (they earlier said that it was on hold for 90 days, hmmm... which is which?). It is now April 2009 and yet no package/no tracking number. All they say on their email before is that, items are not yet complete, blah blah blah. They are always misleading their customers (I am not alone with this predicament with shopflipflops), using delaying tactics. I have filed it on BBB and they said that they will contact their bank to release the funds to me, but that was last March 26, 2009 and still no refund in sight and not even an email as I have emailed them on a regular basis. GUYS BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMER!

Shop Flip Flops scam

I have ordered 180 pairs of havaianas from shop flip flops. At first they got back to me right a way.
After I send them all my info. including credit card #, copies of credit card back and front, verifying my signature. They charged my accout same day. Since that day they would get back to my email once every 2 weeks or so. I tried to get some answeres from them regarding the tracking # or how soon should I expect the shipment... there was nobody to speak to or to get an answer from. Finally after 2 months I decisded to send them an email requesting a refund. They got back to me same day saying they don't know what is happening to this shipment and bla bla bla. I just called my credit card and put a stop to it all. I hope everything will be o.k
at least I did not wire them any money. This company is a scam and at one point I asked KENT the guy at shop flip flops if this company is ligid or are they a scam. He never replied to this email.
Very disapointed. I don't know how HAVAIANAS which is such a big company is not doing anything about it.
Or how come google is not taking them off their site. This company should have been closed long time ago. I guess there is not much to do when it comes to the net. :(

I also never got my 250 pairs of havaianas that I have ordered from SFF.
They don't also bother to update me since April.
ANd I need to refund my resellers, and I don't have any funds to do that. :(

To all who fell victim of this company, please do not just blog your complaints, take action. File your complaints to proper authorities. True they have offices worldwide and here is one of them - make sure to mention this on your complaints. I'm not sure yet how to file complaints with authorities in Brazil but I'll post it once I have the information.

We're a young website (blogshop) that opened in June 2008
Wanting to ride the Havaianas wave, we contacted SHOPFLIPFLOPS.COM for a quotation and held a preorder since aug 2008.
We only managed to get sufficient orders in jan.
Made payment in jan 2009
received 104 slippers in feb 2009 (1 month from jan. RATHER FAR AWAY FROM THEIR 5-7 DAYS SHIPMENT DON'T YOU THINK?)

IMMEDIATELY replied with slippers we ordered vs slippers we received. (til date, have sent them that information 3 times)
Right now it's 26/5/09 right now, i do not have a refund or any more slippers.
My customers are tired of waiting and so am i.

I hope that [redacted] can collect enough complaints about this bogus company and start making things right.
KENT, if you want to issue more spelling errors filled emails about legal nonsense, by all means sue me. Because i will bring this matter out into the media all around the world.
I will contact all the international newspapers and tabloids to give our story.

all i have is silence to the 100 over emails i have sent bombarding kent every single day multiple times trying to get a refund for my customers.

SFF has no order from any nikki in the usa for 180 pairs of havaianas.
Again if this post was real they would use there real name, prove a purchase has been made with an invoice number, and would have contact shop flip flops for a refund if indeed they requested a refund due to non shipment of an order.

Sites such as this one and other online have allowed for this type of bashing and spam to be said without facts.

Shop Flip Flops has over 120, 000 happy customers and counting..

Shop Flip Flops Liars and scammers

Beware of Kent and Jessica Mends at Shop Flip Flops! It has now been 5 months since I placed my wholesale order with them. Now, after I have lost my business, dropped my wewbsite, spent thousands of dollars that are all now lost, the best they can do for me is send me 388 pairs of Flip Flops that I have told them I have no way to sell - and Kent simply said that I should "sell them on Ebay and I could double my money"! Hello? Are you kidding me? Then when it comes time for a partial refund, as they refused to send me a full refund of $5250.00, they have the audacity to charge me almost $700.00 in shipping costs! Holy sheet! These people should be shut down. They are liars and heartless, cruel people. I now have what I call "the book" of over 400 emails all about what should have been a very simple transaction. I sent the $$$$, they send the flips. If they were unable to fill my order then they should have (as every other business would) refund my money. Instead, we have been fighting this out for 5 months. You should all know this and be very careful. I would not order from them unless it was COD! My hope it that nobody has to go thru what I have. It has been a horrible and exhausting 5 months. They literally make me sick.

Shopflipflops.com has VICIOUSLY taken our money without considering the mental anguish we're going through.
Simply disgraceful for a company. I really have no idea how they continue to operate when their reputation is shot to bits!

Hi there!

Wow, it all makes sense to me now after seeing these comments! I have spent the past 10 months trying to sort out a simple order with Kent and have gotten nowhere! I ordered a pair of Swarovski flip flops for my wedding, when i recived the order it was the wrong size and i asked them for an exchange. They agreed and gave me some address in Texas to send them back to, i did this back in August and never recived the new pair of flip flops and never recived any money back! It's pretty sad that the hardest thing about planning my wedding was getting a pair of shoes from shop flip flops. I have send dozens of e-mails to Kent and he responds to maybe 1 out of every 10 i send. I'm down over $100 and don't have anything to show for it! Kent always asks some random question about my origional order and when i repsond with the information requested i hear nothing! Shop Flip Flops have ALL the information regarding the order and they still wont refund my money. The have stoeln over $100 of my money, i can't believe they can get away with this! Kent has mentioned above that people need to contact them to deal with issues but i have and its gotten me nowhere. I'm contacting the department of fair trading! WORST COMPANY I"VE EVER DEALT WITH AND AFTER READING THE OTHER COMMENTS HERE I CAN SEE I'M NOT ALONE.

So our order was for more than USD 2000.
Small orders it may be, all the more SHOPFLIPFLOPS.COM should ensure that EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER receives all that they ordered.

And also shows that we have been ENDLESSLY DELAYED.

we received around USD 800 worth of slippers.
Why only USD 800 PLUS I WONDER?

Surprized to see this thread talking about shop flip flops wholesale program negatively.

Having bought from both alan and now kent we have Never had any issues with our orders. I read somewhere that the problems were with small orders under $2000 USD.
We do not have any orders that were under 6500 PAIRS (20 foot containers) and used sea shipping from sao paulo (santos) so honestly if you have had a issue for $2000 or less its best to just contact the company and ask for kent.

We recommend Shop Flip Flops and have been doing business with them for 4 years.

As stated above, we are a group of people who have individually ordered wholesale from shopflipflops.com.

I can personally testify to shopflipflops.com inefficiency in terms of handling both of slippers and my refund.
I have not received any reply from jm@shopflipflops.com at all despite kent asking me to email him.

So til now i don't have any refund AT ALL.
and my refund amount is USD 1773.02

Why the sudden good testimonials?
Kent told me it's because shopflipflops.com is asking the customers to give them good feedback.
And so, why do i continue to give such negative feedback if i am a customer who has received good service?
From HTTP://FURORREDRESS.BLOGSPOT.COM it can be seen that i have not received ANY good service at all.

Rather, all i receive is delays.
And i believe that this is being replicated throughout the world.
I look forward to seeing shopflipflops.com in Asia.
At least then i would not need to travel too far to pursue my refund.

I have not bought wholesale from shop flip flops but I have bought retail. More then 5 pairs now. I received my tracking number the same day I orders and got the thongs 2 days later around 3pm. I have a few friends that have ordered and got the same service.

Shop Flip Flops were a good supplier of havaianas for us too! We have only bought three times but each time the order was over 750 pairs. We used our own shipping and the items were dropped off at the sao paulo airport for us the net day after payment. (Bank transfer )

We are putting together another order this week. A+ in our books.

We totally disagree with these posts. We have used shopflipflops for more than 4 years. We only found out about this article because we recommended them to a friend for a $25000 purchase and they told us about this link.

I have always got constant emails and calls back from Alan (before) and now Kent at shopflipflops.

I do not understand why they would not refund $1000 or $2000 dollars? It doesn’t make sense to me. We used escrow.com for our first transaction with them years ago as it was over $20, 000 Euros and since that first transaction it has always been bank wires.

I have put in another order this week and am making payment without any fear.

I will send this link to Kent and see what he has to say. I know that there are a few distributors that are mad at various resellers for transshipping but the biggest trans shippers are the largest Havaianas distributors.

I have seen competition put down other people online to tarnish their reputations. I don’t know if these posts are real or false but I know that I have never had any problems.

I recommend shop flip flops.

Shop Flip Flops They scammed me out of 5K!

It has now been 5 months since I sent Shop Flip Flops $5250.00 for my wholesale order of 681 pairs of Havaianas. They have my address, they have my money, they have my bank information to refund my money, but THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING! I have lost my business, spent endless hours trying to resolve this and still, as of today, March 3, 2009 I still get nothing but lies from Kent. If Shop Flip Flops has scammed you in any way, large or small, please report them to the FBI and the BBB. My complaint # with the BBB is: [protected]. You may use it to reference your complaint. Shop Flip Flops' reply to the BBB was the "I am the only unhappy customer"...well, since we all know that's a huge, blatant lie, let's all report them until they resolve this to our satisfaction!

This website is a total scam. Please do not fall for it guys. They are feeding on us and it kills me to see the number of ppl that they have scammed of their hard earned money.

10/21/09 - Order a pair of swarovski flip flops ($116 total) at the beginning of October and they sent me a confirmation and order number. Never sent me a tracking number and when I tried to call the toll free number it was disconnected. All the emails get sent back as an auto reply and the emails to kent m. do not get responded to. I have sent several emails trying to find out the status of my order and have yet to receive a reply. I filed a complaint with my bank so I hope they are able to get this resolved. Do not buy ANYTHING at shopflipflops.com. It is a scam!
