Breach of Contract
In November we agreed to purchase a "tea-cup Shih Tzu" from Star Yorkie and signed a written contract to that effect. We paid $1500.00 for the puppy and $300.00 for shipping, only to receive a normal sized, sick Pekingese puppy at the airport. We contacted Ben and Beverly immediately regarding this issue. They insisted it is a Shih Tzu and that I would need...

Puppy was weak and would never eat or drink. Received veterinary care and intravenous fluids and still died within one week. Vet stated puppy was younger than represented and was only 1 pound not 2.5 pounds as stated by seller. Probable cause of death was either Parvo or simply being sold off too early. Seller charges high prices for Teacup designer dogs and appears to be operating a puppy mill or is a middle-man for a puppy mill. Dog suffered terribly in a fight for it's life leaving it's family devastated and heartbroken. Do not buy from this business! They are operating out of their house and selling dogs for thousands of dollars at ages where it is not safe and fabricating their demographics. Look at their filthy house on Google Maps and it is a stark contrast to the nice website and cute pictures of adorable puppies. Please help me to stop this fro happening to any other dogs and their families by shutting these people down!
Update from my original post about the poor sick puppy that died within the first week. Star Yorkie Kennel staff who are so available and "love" the puppies so much are now always "busy" and unavailable to discuss restitution. The vet bills were sent and multiple phone calls have been made. One would think there is no question about the validity of health complaints when the animal actually dies and they would make it right if they were a legitimate, caring enterprise and not just selling products for thousands of dollars. Ben Ashel AKA Ben Star and Gina Star are the owners and fooled us with their tales of loving this puppy and now the people that answer their phone claim they are never there and that they don't even know their last name when asked. Please do not buy over the internet as recourse is virtually impossible and remember NEVER BUY FROM STAR YORKIE KENNEL!

Dear dog breeder. If u would like to sue the posters. While this cannot be removed, you can supeona for their ip address n sue personally. I did on here and won. If not true ... Sue. Again your attorney can subpoena this web site for the IP address the poster. people can post whatever they want but if you can prove in a court of law that it's not true you win.

I too was recently sold a very sick puppy by Star Yorkie. Our pup was purchased in late October and died in early November of 2012. Our puppy's age was also misrepresented; He was younger than what they had advertised. I would have never purchased him had I known the truth.
He arrived to us sick and with persistent diarrhea.. Similarly, he also wouldn't eat or drink and so I fed, watered and gave him Karo syrup thru a syringe every few hours each day of his short life.
Star Yorkie was apprised of his poor condition immediately (per our contract ) but offered no remedy except, and in fact, "Ben" INSISTED that the puppy be immediately placed on HIS 13 day regime of a Specific RX/ and Diet . I had many questions but "Ben" brushed me off and was quite rude saying, "When you do what I've told you, then we'll talk!"
So many meds for this already weak little one that were taxing on him and proved useless. He fought to live but his body finally gave out.
We are sickened and heart broken. His tiny presence is painfully missed. Like you Tara, in his memory, I will fight. If anything, I tell myself perhaps this is the reason I was chosen to be his owner.
When Star Yorkie was notified, I too got their song and dance. I reminded them I was guaranteed a well dog under CA law (where the purchase was made) and that they were notified he was sick as of day one. I have since obtained a lawyer and I am disputing payment as I feel they are Acting in Bad Faith. I am also looking into Internet laws, laws about importing puppies under 6 MONTHS OlD, and laws about shipping a sick animal over state lines.
Luckily, I have texts, photos, emails, vet bills and test results to prove Star Yorkie sold and sent me a sick puppy.. FYI, He tested negative for Parvo.
I have also been surfing the net and have found blogs in which someone identifying himself as "Ben from Star Yorkie" responds to a blogger and writes that their pups ARE "being imported from a relative in Korea"! Now wouldn't you think their touting, loving, all knowing, informative, fancy client based website should mention that little fact? They do after all advertise themselves to be breeders based in Los Angeles( Reseda), CA and that their puppies/kennels are on sight.
How are we as consumers supposed to make that jump? If I HAD been made aware thru full disclosure that ANY puppies were being shipped from Korea or anywhere else overseas, at 6-8 weeks old or ANY AGE, I would have spotted risks and trouble and RUN! As such, I feel I was not allowed to make an informed decision because facts were purposefully undisclosed.
Also, My advertised puppy's Registration Simply states: "Yes"
Again, I believe this to be misleading. Considering you're paying upwards of $ 4, 000 for a pup advertised as being PURE BRED one assumes this means AKC or AKA.
Star Yorkie recently changed their website and are presently listing Registration as being mostly CKC along with actual birth dates.
Too little, too late for my baby.
Commenter "Rifkin" is absolutely right. Never EVER buy a puppy for more than chump change unless you get off of your butt and go look at where it is coming from. Puppy mills have become "Money MIlls" in these hard times. You had some bucks to part with...they gladly took them! Trust nobody...especially if the kennel has a cute name!
Only when their business comes to a halt will this crap stop. Not a minute eariler.
