My family member, who had been horribly depressed because of a very painful health condition, attempted suicide. She was admitted to a medical unit where she did not receive any counsiling whatsoever for 4 days and then was transfered to the most horrible psych unit I have ever seen. They mix them in with murderers and rapists, etc, who stand outside her...

I had my son in March of 2013. He was 9.1 pounds at birth. He got stuck and was very bruised when he was born. We were there for 4 days after I delivered. I could tell something was wrong with his arm and every time I would say something to a nurse or doctor they told me it was just a rough delivery and he was sore. Well the day after he was discharged I took him to RGH because his arm was really bothering him and I knew something was wrong. They took X-rays within 10 minutes of getting there and told me right away his arm was broken. My poor baby. It pisses me of that I kept telling strong there was something wrong and they didn't care and they couldn't even tell I am not a nurse or a doctor and it was very obveous something was wrong. I will never go back to strong hospital.

I also had a very bad experience at strong. A nurse humiliated me while I was there. Not only did she discuss my situation in front of others she was mimicking me. I called the complaint department immediately after I was released. I was told I would be contacted within 30 days. Two months later and I still haven't heard anything. I can only imagine how people without a voice are treated there.

There really is very little done in actuality at this hospital to keep patient's information confidential. The techs and nurses blab to everyone and discuss things with family about the patients right in the hallways in front of other people. One of my family members was admitted and was also an employee there. It wasn't but a few hours before everyone that she worked with knew every detail about her stay there. For example, a tech outside her door started asking me very personal things about my family member and then began to repeat entire conversations that another nurse had had with her mother, before I finaly stopped her to tell her that I WAS her mother and thank you for blabbing all of my private information to just anyone that comes along.

This is so true. It is even worse if you are an employee there. There is no possible way to keep any kind of confidentiality since the techs, alone, blab to every person they see.
