Don't do it
I am just like everyone else, except I knew I was joining for a fee of $159-
But I really wanted to win an ipad for my son and some of the **recent winners ** only paid $50-$150 for theirs so I figured that even with the $159 I would still be ahead-- wrong, there are so many other bidders with a gazillion bids to play with that there is no point in even trying.
You just waste your bids and they go on autobid so the computer plays for them - and they win, every time, after many complaints they finally put a limit to how many big item wins one person is allowed to win in a month, too little to late.
stole 159.00 out of my account
Swipe Bids has struck again. Unfortunately for me, it was a pop up add and I thought I was regeristering to look at website and gave debit card info incase I wanted to bid. NO! you register they steal 159.00 from your account. This happened yesterday and I believe he instant chat people are bots. I am going to my bank on Monday Morning the 30th of August to see what I can do. The charge is pending and wont go thru till monday night. However the Person I talked to Saturday said I can't dispute till charge goes thru and then it will be too late from what I hav read. Please anyone with any ideas, please email me at [protected]@yaoo.com. Thank you
All I need from you is a refund by cashiers check. Card is cancelled.
This is a standard reply. Send me a cashiers check and I will print a retraction
Oh I see you must work fo them. Enough said.
And how would you know that unless this has happened to you as well?
Excuse me, but I am not stupid. Imay be a little naive on the ways of the internet. But, neither I or any of the people this has happened to are stupid.
Good Morning Linda,
I am unable to provide you any service until you contact me personally at jennifer@swipebids.com with the above mentioned information.

won't give me a refund
I sent in the refund request and was told I qualified for the money back guarantee, allow 2 weeks to receive my refund. I did so, contacted them again and was told that due to technical issues the refund could not be processed in their Admin system therefore; they are forwarding to Head office and they will send me a cheque. Allow additional time for this. I did and again contacted them. This time I was told that due to strict credit card regulations they have been prevented from processing my refund by cheque and the only available option was for me to contact my bank and dispute the charge. I did so Friday so will know in about 10 days if the back will honor my dispute.
after several attempts, a lot of anger, and many live chats with swipebids, i did get my refund. if you fill out the paperwork swipebids requires, mail it ( i mailed it certified return receipt), dispute the charge on your credit card and you should get your refund. i printed swipebids "easy money back guarantee" and all live chat sessions took it to my bank, filed a dispute of the $150.00 and received a credit back to my card. if your bank declines the credit, email jennifer at swipebids and she will email you a form you can fill out and give to your bank that should get your money back. don't give up and just be pissed about it, do what you have to do to get your money because you can get it back. good luck and i hope we all learned a lesson.

jennifer, why don't you pass on to the management that i want my refund also. that's what this is all about. i believe you and management can look at the live chat conversations between me and them and see exactly what the problem is and should have no excuse to refund me.
Why wouldn't anybody in the live chat let me speak to you. I only asked 100 times to speak to a supervisor, each time I was told they do not talk with bidders. I am not a bidder. I don't understand why you guys put your clients through so much hassle before actually offering any kind of solution. I will let you know when I hear from my bank .

FRAUDULENT MEMBERSHIP FEE
I signed up for an Internet bidding like I have done in the past without any hassles. This time, it was swipebids.com. The only difference is that, this time, they are charging me 150.00 upfront even though I did not intend to pay a cent for any online bidding when ebay.com is FREE! I have sent a request to a class action lawyer, and I know that there are lots of people who have been had by this fraudulent website. If you want to join me in this lawsuit, please contact me at [protected]. My name is Olu.
This should not be allowed to stand in an economy that is demanding so much thrift from everyone. Let's make this hoodlum site pay!
I receive on the average about 15 calls a day from victims. Please do not call me. Email the lawyer in charge, as this lawsuit is now filed. Thanks!
The lawyer's information is below:
Will Haselden | Edelson McGuire LLC

stole $150.00 from me
They stole $150.00 from me. I registered on this site and filled in my information. I never chose a package from them. They automatically took my account information and charged me $150.00 without my authorization. When I tried to contact support services, I was unable to. I found many other similar complaints on them.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Swipe-Auctions lures you onto their site and invites you to check them out with an offer of free bids, but you have to create an account with them to do it. As soon as they have your CC# they charge you for 159.00, which they'll tell you was clearly marked on their welcome screen, though I don't remember seeing a welcome screen at all.
They emailed me what they would later call a "receipt", which included my account information (username and password), but no mention of any charges.
While checking their site, I decided these auctions are a fool's errand and decided not to play along.
Swipebid charges your credit card when you think the only reason they are asking for your card number is to pay for items you actually buy. No they charge the card. When you call to say it is a mistake they tell you too bad, and you can't talk to a supervisor. STAY AWAY! I have called my credit card company and they are investigating. Every person should also report this activity to the attorney general and hopefully these scammers will be shut down before they rip off any more consumers. The 100 word minimum is *** by the way.
They said I had bought 300 bid two more times for a $150 each (which I did not do) when I complained they wouldnt give me my money back.
Because they said I clicked on it. But again I didnt. I got sucker on the joining and scammed for300 more. What recourse do we have? I hope they dont deduct money every month. Is it that tyoe of scam where you have to unenroll or they keep taking money? If so how can you unenroll. There should be someone that you can contact to complain about scams like this so they cant screw more people.
By my mistake I hit the accept button, When I called to get a refund I was told I had to wait 2 weeks or more for my money. Well, I neede my money back so I could get my medications for my heaRT THE NEXT DAY.
After talking to 2 sc agents I was given to a Supervisor who told me the same thing, fill out mail in formand wait 2 weeks.I told him of my heart problem and he said didn't care.
I am on SS and needed that money for my meds.I will never do any business with them ever again. They are insensetive to people's needs.
They need to be reported to the BBB and the States Attorney Office in Colorado for their rotten dealings.
NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN.
I was charged $159 for the service on 8/31/10. They switch the page you are registering on to a page that looks the same except in small print it states you are going to be charged $159 for 300 bids. Once I saw the charge come through on my card via email immediately I got on live support and told them that the page was confusing and just the same as the previous page and that I didn't realize my card would be charged. After almost 45 minutes on a live chat they agreed to refund me by me printing out a form and mailing it in. I certified it. They said it takes 1-2 weeks. I sent it the following morning certified. They are off shore USA, so I was also charged a $4.95 fee from BOA for an overseas transaction.
I got on the chat again on 9/5 and they said I would get the credit by 9/15; when it didn't come, I got online again and they offered me 50% off my membership until I got really firm with them and threatened to call the county attorney and file online complaints. She said she issued the credit but it will take another 5-10 days to show up.
This is shoddy business practices. If you read anything online about penny auctions, you will find out that swipebids.com is one of the worst and impossible to cancel or get your money back.
I fell for this scam and did not notice the well hiden charge of 150.00 for a membership fee.
My credit card was charged immediately for 150.00 [non refundable] and they said it is legal
according to their Lawyers. It was supposed to be a penny auction and I never thought about
a member's fee. These people are ###. I will never give out my credit card no. on the internet
to unknowns like this ###. It takes low-life like this to ruin a good thing.
I was referred to this website by another advertisement, when I tried to exit it continued to freeze my screen.
In reading the company and its purpose of usage, I understood a membership of $159 would allow bidding opportunity.
My bank account notified me of the charges that were immediately removed from my account, as I was trying to connect with a representative I was placed on hold several times and no one would acknowledge any error on their part.
I then began to research the company of Swipebids aka SwipAuctions, and found many complaints, such as my experience on their various websites. The other website that linked me was JumboAuction which I can no longer locate.
I will continue my quest to assure my funds are returned, BBB will also be notified, as to my dissatisfaction, and deceitfulness.
Swipebids all organizers will go to the jail.
I hope everyone reads this first, this is a rip offf i made a mistake on this site put in my credit card and they riped off $159.00 from the top i did not see any where on the page were thay take out the money. people work hard for there money thay need to get off the internet.then thay tell me it will take ten days to get back my money and put it back on my credit card when it took them 3 seconds to take it off my credit card...big rip off ha, ha
This Penny Auction Watch site is Major scam(pennyauctionwatch.com). Also known as "PAW".
PAW is a front for these dishonest penny auction owners to make their sites look legit. Penny Auction Owners plant positive experiences on here(Complaints Board) and on the Penny Auction Watch forums(PAW) to bait people into playing and buying bid packs. Buying bid packs to bid on items? What a joke and scam!
Go to Flippa[dot]com and search "penny auctions for sale"
There you can see how these operates by the use of controlled bots on autobid to scam any real people into buying more and more bid packs until the reserve price has at least been met for that item that's bid on. They aren't in the business to LOSE money and will never ACTUALLY sell an item below value. If not enough real people are bidding on a particular item for a while, they will end the auction to a bot name. They will then list the bots name in the "Auction History" section to make it look as if REAL people actually win and auction is honest+fair.
You can buy your own Penny Auction from Flippa.com and start scamming also. So easy to do.
Also. Google, "penny auction website script" and see how these scams operate. The scripts are cheap to buy.
To build up traffic to your scam penny auction you must plant positive experiences on forums such as PAW(PAW is a front). You must also dispute ANY negativity or complaints on forums such as this.
For EX, tell the angry complainer that he must be crazy, use stupid bidding techniques and unlucky because you win all the time and just won a 52inch Plasma for 2 bucks. People WILL start believing you if you plant enough fake postitive experiences/reviews. JUST make sure to use different names each time you fake post. If you use same name over and over again telling everyone you win all the time, people will begin to catch on and realize it's just a fake post planted by the Penny Site operator/owner.
They cheat you and make a killing from people like you that bought into it. Some will even go as far as to advertise on social networking sites such as "FACEBOOK" and write stories of winning items for $4 and so on to get people to join the site.
I call it their, "Fake Social Environment" where they ask and answer their own questions attempting to be perceived as an honest and fair auction. For EX they will say, "I just won 12 Lap Tops for $40 and they all arrived today in factory sealed boxes! I love this site!"
Anyone can do this... so easy to make money. MAKE sure that the server that hosts your scam auction is located outside of the USA so you can get around federal gambling regulated laws. If heat gets to much, then shut scam auction down and create a new one. Repeat process.
Happy scammin'!
I tried to post that on PAW(pennyauctionwatch[.]com) to warn good honest people BUT they wouldn't allow it to post.. I wonder why? ;)
So i'll just post away on websites such as this.
You use to could post on PAW right away but now they have a Moderator that must approve your post first.. I wonder why that is? ;)
I think we ALL know why that is :)
Fraudulent auctions
Several of the auctions are fake. They get you to bid on the bigger items and just when the auction is suppose to end, the site will refresh and shows the auction of that item having re-started and you will have lost all your bidding credits. Also the $150 intial investment is kind of steep in my opinion. There is really no way to win the bigger auction...

Here is how much swipebids rips you off - and notice every chat operator claims to be the shift supervisor - they also GUARANTEE A WIN OR YOUR MONEY BACK
Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'Jessica'
Jessica: Thank you for visiting SwipeBids. We are here to help you win auctions, save money and have a great time. Who am I speaking with?
you: help = I just signed up and did not realize I used all my bids
you: my name is corey
you: and I though i won
Jessica: Could you please provide me with your full name and email address, so that I can pull up your details?
you: Cora May [protected]@theworldaintright.com
Jessica: Please wait while I check your order details in our system.
Jessica: Yes, you have used all of your bids.
you: I thought that a bid meant per item not per click - did I get that right?
Jessica: Yes, you got it right.
you: Can I start over? I did the tutorial and did not get it - or can I get my money back?
Jessica: The bidding process is simple. Each product starts at just one dollar. Then, people place bids on the product. Each time someone places a bid, the price of the product rises by 1 cent. The timer keeps going down, and when the auction falls below 5 minutes, if anyone places another bid on the item then the timer will reset to 10 seconds. When bidding stops and the auction ends, last bidder wins!
Jessica: If you have been unsuccessful at winning an auction, I can replenish the total amount of the bids you originally purchased this one time.
you: you guarantee that you can win an auction right? and I only have to bid on the auctions of stuff I want right?
you: what if you run out of bids and you didn't win anything?
Jessica: I can give you all your bids back one last time.
Jessica: Do you want me to do that?
you: Your site says you guarantee one win or you will refund
Jessica: It is says that we will give all the bids back to your account not the money.
you: so if you never win - you keep giving the bids back? You guarantee one win - that is the ONLY reason I signed up
Jessica: Sorry, we will give it only one time to you.
you: Play fair or I will go to the FTC and they investigate EVERY complaint - you guarantee a win
you: so if that is not the case - please refund the money
Jessica: We are ready to give all you bids back to you one time.
Jessica: That is all we can do for you.
you: How long has this site been up?
you: Please put your supervisor on
Jessica: Swipebids launched on 25 Feb, 2010.
Jessica: I am the customer service supervisor on this shift.
you: You made a guarantee and you need to honor it -your homepage and yout tutorial says its so simple we guarantee you will win or we will refund you money
you: Then you CAN refund the money - please honor your guarantee
Jessica: We do not say that we will refund the Money... we give you all the bonus bids (300) back in case you don't won anything with them, just one time.
you: That is not what your video in the box says or the saying on the right
Jessica: Please copy and paste that information there.
you: https://www.swipebids.com/chg_registration_pg2.php?sessid=nm0ive6ijiei48n2mc5pcdmdg3&awt_m=1btbI9038rx&awt_email=
you: it does not say one time - you guarantee that if a person does not win you will fully refund the bids - so you can play until you win
you: Or if you do not want to play this way - refund my money and I will go away - but I will bring the FTC into this
you: I feel ripped off and you just stole my money to buy a new computer
Jessica: Ok, please see the green box, which says You're Guarantee to Win.
you: yes it says REAL BIG - you are guaranteed to win - I am not being mean but I really feel ripped off
you: Quoting youYou're Guarantee to Win.
Jessica: So, I have just told what we have shown on the website.
Jessica: So, would you like me to credit 300 bids in your account?
you: Do you understand that the FTC will close down your site faster than anything you have seen - they even investigate cell phone problems - and I am in law and social media - do the right thing and REFUND the money - you have the power
Jessica: Please CLICK HERE for details that were stated on your checkout page as you confirmed your original purchase. This checkout page and its disclosures have been approved by our Attorneys, and comply with strict credit card regulations issued by your bank to ensure the charges cannot be disputed.
you: The FTC complaint is up on my screen - by law you have to refund my purchase - I did not win anything
Jessica: We do have a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee to ensure you are completely satisfied, please CLICK HERE and follow the easy steps to ensure you get this issue resolved.
you: Link not working
Jessica: http://www.swipebids.com/guarantee.php
you: Okay so refund the money please
Jessica: You have to follow all the conditions for full 30 days to get the refund.
you: I was guaranteed to win and I did not - that is false advertising - so refund the money please - you have the power to return the money and this chat is subpoenable
Jessica: As customer satisfaction is our top priority, we have a 30 day money back guarantee in place; all you need to do is follow the 3 easy steps to qualify and ensure you get the best possible results. Jessica: I can give you 300 + 500 =800 bid, this one time.
Jessica: Shall I go ahead and credit the 800 free bids to your account?
you: Not uless you guarantee the win - just like your advertisement
Jessica: We guarantee a win, but you should bid on the bid packs.
you: You guarantee of win on the bid packs or the items - you can do this the easy way - or I will dispute everything - your advertising is more than misleading

Please take the time to read and follow the easy steps in the link for our 30 day Money Back Guarantee to ensure you get the refund. Once again to get to the link, Click Here
you: You are having fun with this but I am really serious - I am filling out the FTC complaint now - enticed into internet gambling - false advertising - not returning funds within 15 minutes
Jessica: I do not have the ability to refund you until you have followed the 3 easy steps provided on the link for our 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. Unfortunately, I am unable to assist you any further. Please take the time to follow our incredibly easy 30 day money back guarantee CLICK HERE.
you: Visa dispute - FTC complaint - you won't win - you should do the right PR thing and refund the money - last chance - honor your advertising

I chatted with an online help person and they gave me a refund form to send in and they never refunded my money! Trying to get back in contact with them. my name is patricia knudsen
thank you
Swipebids is a very big scam. They openly steal $150 and if play in their auction you will win absolutely nothing but may loose thousands of dollars. They are organized criminals end nobody can stop them exept FBI or CIA.
I wonder, why FBI or CIA don't stop that so called online auction SwipeBids. It is organized criminal grup, and they are stealing money from naive people. I told them that I will tell about their criminal activiti to FBI or CIA, but they feel very unpunishable.
All I did to the best of my knowledge was put my information down and that bought me 300 bids for $150.00 They could be upfront with what they do. Now I can not even get back on that site, to click onto the chat site, which according to the number I dialed to cancel, is the only way to get it cancelled. Have I been taken, yes, have I been scammed, yes.
Anyone, if you have a solution, please let it be know. Sites like www.swipebids.com need to erased from the internet. The cancellation number that was given on the site is [protected]. According to the company they can only cancel the monthly charge of $11.95 This also was a surprise to me for I did not read anywhere of a monthly charge.
To all, be careful of your very hard earned money. Companies like Swipebids will take your $$$ at a blink of an eye.
Scam ---will not refund and site is confusing when they ask for credit card for reference and you give it to them you are charged whether you want it or not.I called customer service and got the run around but I was promised a refund if I wrote a request which I did on 8/29 but as expected no responce from them The company is abroad therefore I see no recourse to get your refund so stay away from this company at all cost. all that glitters is not gold. Do not even try to look at what they offer becuase when you enter the site you are trapped.
Swipe-bids auction website charged fee to my credit card without telling me and then I could not log on my account to bid. I tried several times but could not contact them to get my money back. They posted a website to chat and contact them but it links me to nowhere. I tried to call them and the machine answered that the website has been shut down. I guess they had so many complains and had to closed. How do I contact them to get a refund or at least ? Any one has any information to share would be appreciated. Thanks
this website is the bigger scam on the internet
they took from me$ 250

Giving a Voice to Consumers
At ComplaintsBoard, we know how real consumer issues matter. Our platform is a special place for honest opinions, where people share their reviews openly and honestly, whether good or bad.
Our team checks each complaint or review thoroughly to confirm that each one comes from a real customer experience, keeping our platform trustworthy.
We're totally cool with complaints, as long as you've got some evidence to back it up. Whether it's a photo, a detailed story, or documents, providing evidence makes your complaint more believable and helps others make smart choices.
