Tax Attorney reviews and complaints
Fraud
Owed IRS a hefty sum in back taxes so I called Tax Attorney Jeffrey Fouts for consultation. Spoke to his assistant Dale Allis whose was very nice and professional so I paid the initial amount to get them started. This was when the bilking started. His legal Assistant, Frances will go through your paperwork for a charge of $200 an hours so you can imagine how many documents they want and how fast that adds up. They charge an average of 10 - 20 minutes for each item. Janine will call you up every other day threatening deadlines and asking for more money. To make a long story short, Attorney Fout bilked me for $2400 with nothing to show for it. Not even one single solitary document. After that I had to face the IRS by myself. She asked me to fill out a Form 433F and a few documents and within 2 weeks she was done. Something that Jeffrey Fout's team couldn't do in 2 months and $2400. I told her about Attorney Fouts, so I am still in the process of reporting him. I do not know how these people sleep at night. STAY AWAY! He will rip you off!
Took my money and did nothing !
Segal, Cohen & Landis, LLP Samuel C. Landis, took my money $ 7, 050 and did nothing for 12 month but file a power of attorney !! I paid Mr. Landis $ 2, 500 initial payment plus $ 350 a month for 12 month. I called the FTB and IRS directly to find out why my case was not settled. I was informed by both agencies...the only paper work they receive from Mr...

We know who this former client is. This person filed a complaint before ever letting us know he was unhappy with our services. He has no reason to be unhappy with us.
This client was extremely resistant to our requests for his financial information which we needed in order to evaluate what his options were.
He had unfiled tax returns and he was deathly afraid of the IRS collecting against him. We told the client over and over again that we needed him to get us the financial information we were requesting before the IRS mailed out its last collection letter, or he would truly be a collection target. He largely ignored us our repeated requests.
He kept on saying he didn’t want to be levied, and we said we understand, but we need you to get us this information to us before the IRS sends out its last collection letter. He let his case drag on and on. He was very uncooperative despite our attempts to move his case forward.
About the time we got all of his information together, and the IRS filed its last collection letter before collection begins, he quits us and it appears he took the information we were able to pull out of him to the IRS.
This client essentially wasted his own legal fees by not participating in his own case and making us beg him to give us the information we needed to evaluate what All his options were, including an Offer in Compromise.
We’ll never know what other great options he may have qualified for.
We have an A+ Better Business Bureau (BBB) rating. We have been in business 20 years, and represented thousands of clients in all 50 states and 29 foreign countries. We are proud that less than 0.4% of our clients have ever complained. We regret this person is unhappy, but we can’t make everyone happy, even though we try.
It appears this person has filed the same complaint several times in an attempt to make it appear that there are more complaints.
