Cannot be trusted
Cannot be trusted. Not based in the UK based in China, despite mis-leading .co.uk site. You get the same cheap battery that you can buy for less on Ebay IF you want to buy a cheap Chinese battery. Battery did not fit my laptop, I was fobbed off past the 45 days, so no PayPal refund, returned battery on promise of return shipping being paid, I now have 4 emails promising the shipping refund, BUT NO REFUND, only promises that mean nothing. Thankfully Visa took up the case and I am not out of pocket for the battery itself...stay well clear.
BEWARE, do not buy a battery from here
I ordered and didnt read the reviews - now wish I had as the wrong battery for my Acer 5735 was sent and I was not about to return battery untill they sent me a SAE for return. I have written to Tenfang Li in Singapore - no reply written to this site three times still no reply. I have paid through paypal £26 and have no battery for my laptop. I have re-sent the letter yet again threatening that this site should be removed from wherever it appears BEWARE do not buy a battery from here
looks like I have dooped by this company, the telephone number on the contact us section is fake and is a number in the USA the guy on the phone said he gets calls all the time and said i have been ripped off!
The only thing top about Top battery is their ability to take your money even after trying to settle through Paypal. They're either a hopeless company or a scam...either way i;m out of pocket.
Ordered my 2nd battery in the last year ( for different products..1st for a camera .. latest for my Toshiba Laptop ) and both orders arrived somewhat delayed as not UK based .. but with this fantastic value price and my being prepared to await shipping for circa 3 weeks I believe it represented excellent value for both orders to date. As it is shipping outside EU local customs may intervene which they did in my latest order and while this delayed its arrival they waived any small VAT/Post Office Admin fee . Overall I am very satisfied with both orders and I will use this site again for technology batteries which are low value, except allowing for 3 -4 week for actual delivery ..MJM

I recently purchased a replacement Laptop Battery for SONY VGP-BPS8 from top-battery.co.uk. Unfortunately, it has fallen far short of my expectations. When I attempted to use it, it has discharged and then it was totally impossible to recharge it. I have been trying hard to make it work and several colleagues helped me but it is totally impossible to make the battery work.
Here are the problems with top-battery.co.uk:
- the battery they sent me doesn’t work
- it is impossible to recharge the battery
- top-battery.co.uk send you a software to force you to flash your bios to use the battery
Top-battery.co.uk does not mention that you need to flash your bios to use the battery. The fact is that flashing your bios is really dangerous and it is totally forbidden by your SONY warranty.
I send several mails to ask for a refund because of these three problems: I get nothing.
I am appalled at the substandard quality of the product they sent me.
Moreover the co.uk in the address is deceptive:
- the "company" is located in China
- the person who answer to e-mails can hardly speak English :

The software mentioned above is a bios flashing software which will kill your computer...
In conclusion:
Do NEVER buy something at this company!
