Transfirst Rip off, lies, fees

Transfirst is a total rip off. I am a consultant with a very small practice. I published a book and was to speak at a conference almost 3 years ago. I had by checking account at WaMu and wanted to be able to take credit cards at the conference for my book. Transfirst was the processor for WaMu and I was set up to meet with a salesman, Kelley Nezwek. I specifically did not want a multi-year contract and did want extra fees. He told me I could cancel any time and just pay $10/month whether I did any business or not (plus the charges when cards were actually processed). I decided that I did not need this service after a few months and called to cancel. Kelley disappeared and never returned my calls. In my first bill a number of strange charges showed up. I was told that I had a 3-year contract with a $290 early cancellation fee. WaMu went bankrupt and no longer can be contacted. Their new owner or receiver of their assets - Chase - has nothing to do with Transfirst. Over the last three years extra charges appeared with regularity and I've spent hours on the phone with various service reps. The latest fee is a QUARTERLY fee of $28.80 for something called "PCI Non-Validation." I have not used this service for almost 2 1/2 years and I can't cancel the account that Transfirst taps because I'm afraid of them ruining my credit rating (which is excellent). These people are liars and thieves and I urge people to beware of doing business with them. Unscrupulous and dishonest financial services firms such as Transfirst almost destroyed our economy and taxpayers like me have bailed out these greedy companies to the tune of several trillion dollars. The minute my three years up I am canceling this contract.

TransFirst is a legit company. I even use them. So, I think the first 2 complaints can refer to themselves when they are talking about how dumb people are. Maybe you should do your research first before acting like an idiot!

Just a thought on Craigslist. They are expanding everywhere, look towards the bottom for the 'new' managers name. Not falling for it but wanted to make others aware.
