Tri County Automotive and Towing Towing / customer service

If I could give them a negative number I would!
We sat on the Florida Turnpike for FOUR HOURS IN 90 DEGREE WEATHER with no airconditioning.
The woman on the phone consistently lied (and was VERY RUDE) to us and AAA. First it was 50 minutes, then 30 then 15...
When the driver finally came he said he was sitting at the service plaza for hours and just got the call.
After a night in the hotel we are having the car towed to another repair shop. We saw what horrible reviews they have.
But first I had to pay them a $30.00 storage fee. That was fine but they wouldn't take payment over the phone. So we had to walk to a gas station and call her back with the fax number. They didn't give us a # to return the fax so had to go through getting a hold of them for a #. Really? Who would send someone a fax without a return contact number?
I certainly hope AAA drops them as a certified tow company and they will if I have anything to say about it.

Tri County Automotive and Towing Entire company

Anyone who's slammed or lowered and stuck in the Okeechobee area or on the Turnpike... DO NOT CALL TRI COUNTY TOWING. I'm at the Fort Drum service plaza and I live in broward, Triple A is covering my tow up to 200 miles and Tri County drivers [censor]ed and complained because my car was lowered, I have adjustable coilovers and I told the driver that I'll raise my car up right now so he would put it on the truck. He called his supervisor and told him that I was on bags (air suspension which costs roughly $2, 000) and it's a high risk because they don't want to damage a compressor. Like I said I have adjustable coilovers and it's a 97 Honda Civic, my suspension costs $40 on EBay. I've call Tri county a number of times and asked to speak with their supervisor to take the call, the dispatcher refused to transfer my call. But the issue isn't that my car is lowered, they want cash up front... It's a $700 tow and my AAA membership covers me and they will get their money, but they want to double dip and get cash plus the money from Triple A. And eventually they Declined the call. I'm still in Okeechobee waiting on a tow truck from Fort Pierce who took the call. All I'm going to say is screw Tri County Towing and make sure if you travel distances to have the most expensive AAA membership which is $127 a year.

Tri County Automotive and Towing EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL

I've never had to deal with such rude, ignorant people in my entire life. They charged $238 for a local tow, not more than 10 miles away; and 2 days worth of storage fees even though it sat for 12 hours, along with, of course, administration fees. I am an auto transport broker, and I work with very good guys in the towing industry. These guys are running a racket and scamming people left and right. It was towed from a private property, when asked about the outrageous price, they tell people the county sets those prices. THIS IS NOT TRUE FOR PRIVATE PROPERTY. The moment we stepped into the office they were extremely rude. Once paid, and signed the receipt, the woman snatched the receipt out of my hand because I asked a question, threw my money back, and said they weren't releasing my vehicle. I had to call the Fort Pierce Police Department just to get them to release my vehicle.

So you met the gaggle of trolls in the front office? Let me tell you, they are just a big bubbling wad of genius in there, they foul ignorant and extremely rude, not to mention unprofessional. Awhile back I had a family member that got himself in a pinch with the law, the Sherrifs office locked him up and tri county towed his truck. I decided to let him sit and do some thinking, but figured I'd at least get his truck out so the fees didn't stack up. I went down to the tri county office and consulted with the baboons in the front office. They informed me that I simply needed a power of attorney in order to pick up the vehicle. I drove out to the county jail, spoke with a Deputy, explained the circumstance and was told the document would be taken into the jail to be signed. The deputy retuned the document signed and also notarized with a notary stamp, including a badge number. I then go back to the tow yard, present the document and attempt to pay. The ### behind then counter informs me she will need to see the drivers license of the truck owner so she can compare the signature on the power of attorney. You know, the one that is notarized by the sheriffs deputy. I tried calmly explaining that the notarized stamp of the deputy is verification that the the signature is in fact the person signing the document ( full name, social and address of truck owner listed on POA) She then proceeded to get extremely nasty, and refused to grasp the irony of her request.

I then proceeded outside and called the police just as you did. Though the officer saw the Idiocy of the situation and got a good laugh, she unfortunately said it was a civil matter and couldn't make them turn the vehicle over to me because it wasnt legally mine. Out to the jail I went and sat forever to pick the license out of inmate property to take back to tri county. Once back, the Orca behind the window was extremely smug and I assume thought she had won, I could have really made a fool out of her, but I just didn't see to need to throw money away on an attorney to prove this woman was a ###. I figured someone that ignorant and foul would get theirs in life. I just paid the bill and off I went.

To be fair, the place overall is nice. The equipment is new, well kept and seems like a capable company. I've heard whispers about the owner around town, but I've run into the guy a few times and seems like a decent guy. I would just recommend that he put the clamp down on the bozos in the front office before they irreparably damage his business.

I recently got into an accident on the turnpike. It was not involving any other vehicles, I ran over a semi tire that was in the middle of the road. I was going to call AAA but the florida trooper had called to get us a tow after looking at the fluid leaking from my car. When the towing company got there, they hardly said anything to me at first. They...
