Trump University Crybabies with No Effort Blame Somebody

Here they come. All those who want to ‘blame others’ for their own lack of action. They think someone else is going hand them a magic wand. In reality a down market is the best time to get out there and make lots of offers. Most of the plaintiffs in this lawsuit are people who aren’t out there using the real estate acquisition techniques – or they wouldn’t be playing the violin with a sad story. Today – if they focused – they could be buying properties hand-over-fist just like I did. My experience with the courses was positive – because instead of griping – I did something with the knowledge. What a bunch of self-serving cry-babies.

Trump University fraudulant seminar

This is definately a scam. I was fooled by the Trump name, I wouldn't expect the Donald to attach his name to such a crooked operation, which is why I paid $1500. for the three day class. It was nothing but tidbits of information on many areas of real estate investing. Not enough information to do anything with-- teasers. It was just a set-up for the big sell at the end of the seminar. Thank God I was only $1500. stupid and not $35, 000. like some that went for it. Their series of webinars are all sales pitches for even more scams. What a wast of money and time. Shame on you Donald, you better pray that karma doesn't come back to you too badly. There should be a class action lawsuit against this operation. I for one will definetely join it . I hope someone starts one, please let me know if you do.

Trump University and their staff should be ashamed of themselves! They RUINED my credit!!! They told me I would get my large investment back in my first real estate deal because I would have access to amazing mentors and course content. I did what they told me in all of the courses and it was nonsense! I maxed out my credit cards because I thought Donald...

Trump University Fraud

I was scammed out of tens of thousands and after realizing the atrocities of the deception and fraud have been fighting back. If you join me in this fight against Trump University, we can make a difference. I created this list because after researching myself I obtained some invaluable ideas from posters online but nothing was compiled all in one place. I realized I could help be part of the solution by sharing all of the information I acquired myself through meticulous hard work and investigation. This is a tribute to the "little guy" that can and will fight back!

Ya I spent $10, 000 with Trump university for 5 phone calls and a pakage of CD's. I was supposed to be metored over the phone by a "so called" credited investor, but after five conversations I realized the mentor was less educated than I was in Real Estate and quickly became uninterested in talking to him. At the time I was so busy and had enough money I just said forget it. Now 2 years later I want my money back, but highly doubt that will happen. Trump university along with Russ Whitney and all his companies are scams as far as I am concerned. These company`s or seminars are the biggest rip off to get you to feel like you are makeing the right decision on your path to finnacial freedom. I have purchased all of there classes and went to all of them as well however the classes are set up to pound in your head the lies that they are trained to tell you nothing you buy from anyone of these so called credited investors will make you any better of a person in fact the only one that i had purchased that made me even a little bit of personal wealth is the anthony robbins self help coaching cd`s so look at all of the scams they have done over the years and ask them to prove that someone they have paid back with the money they invested and if its even legal they are legal scamers of the united states and if you ask me I will never tell anyone to trust ether person Trump or Whitney and all there company`s yours trully ( we the people)

Trump University retreats and mentorship

The 20 Tips to Trump THEM

Reports about people being scammed by Trump University are rampant all over the Internet and additionally on this site.

So know...you are not alone! Like you, I was scammed out of tens of thousands and after realizing the atrocities of the deception and fraud have been fighting back.

If you haven't already this is what you can do to report Trump University and help investigative authorities string together a case so they prevent others from sharing the same fate as us, and even possibly recover your funds. I have some of the research for you so if you've been frustrated all you must do is follow the steps below and you may very well see funds returned.

It is very important to report to EVERY agency below so that this matter reaches enough ears that eventually they are stopped from hurting people during this economic depression. This may take a bit of your time, but I promise it will result in helping every one of us as if the Attorney General sees enough complaints with his office and all of the other NY offices and has enough complaints to develop a case, there is often victim restitution of funds. But there needs to be enough victims complaining so please forward this email to others you know who are in need of getting their funds recovered! There is also a class action lawsuit option that we could instigate...see below.

Do not expect an immediate refund and do not get discouraged. If they know you will not stop, they will reimburse you because it won't be worth their time to continue going back and forth arguing. This may mean 20-30 contacts but don't give up! The more people are sending numerous emails, making calls, and mailing letters, the more powerless Trump University becomes so have at it!

Remember, by staying active and on top of things through follow up, you create waves with all of these agencies and they have no choice but to investigate.

Please note: the contacts below are all for NY but you may also try contacting your state's offices as well particularly if you attended a Trump University seminar in your state and see what can be done. But first and foremost, the matters need to be reported to the the state of New York where Trump University is headquartered as only they really have jurisdiction over the matter.

Remember... POWER IS IN THE PEOPLE! We can all make the difference together!

1. Create a detailed letter explaining from beginning to end why you are dissatisfied, what was promised versus provided, and details/dates of each contact you've had with Trump U and their response as well as your attempts to resolve these disputes. Reference the law whenever possible if you have knowledge of your state's civil and business and professions codes or just Google this and research terms of law you think apply. Print out all email correspondence and include it with your letter as well as online complaints from others. Create a convincing package as though you are going to court with all kind of evidence you can think of including copies of the contracts, any book materials or verbiage that supports your claim etc... Just create one letter and mail the same letter and package to everyone to save time.

2. Report Trump University to the New York Better Business Bureau: Better Business Bureau Serving Metropolitan New York (New York, NY) 257 Park Avenue South, New York, NY [protected] Phone: [protected] Fax: [protected] Email: [protected]@newyork.bbb.org Web: www.newyork.bbb.org

3. Report Trump University to the New York State Consumer Protection Agency (they act as a mediator similar to the BBB): https://www1.consumer.state.ny.us/cpb/CauComplaintForm.html

4. Report Trump University to the New York District Attorney (DA): http://manhattanda.org/organization/investigative/specialprosecution.shtml (it is best to write them at Manhattan DA, attn:Special Prosecutions Bureau, One Hogan Place, New York, NY 10013)

5. Report Trump University to the New York Attorney General: http://www.oag.state.ny.us/resource_center/complaints/pdfs/cns001web_consumer.pdf (emailing this form will get you a response but the best thing to do is mail your concern with proof to: Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's Office, Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection, 120 Broadway, 3rd Flr, New York, NY 10271)

6. Contact your local media, the NY TIMES, and 60 MINUTES with your story. Tell them about the real estate fraud post bank fraud and in the midst of mortgage and loan mod fraud then bring Trump University into the story. Tell them how this real estate story is tied to national news that affects everyone. You can also find Call for Action media resources in your city at: http://www.callforaction.org/?cat=5&single_column.

7. Tell Trump University if they don't refund you you will post negative feedback on http://www.complaintsboard.com/new_complaint/, /link removed/ among others if you have not already. TV news producer, attorneys, even the FBI among others regularly search the sites to compile evidence for cases/reports.

8. Contact your credit card or bank and file a dispute...don't worry if it's past 60 days, many will investigate as they are supposed to otherwise you can remind them about TARP bailout funds and their obligation to you. Compile the evidence of the laws to send to them with your story and print all the negative reviews from the complaint boards you have posted on as well as others. If the bank from your account or credit card refuses to help, report them to the body of the FDIC that regulates this: the OCC (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency) at https://appsec.helpwithmybank.gov/olcc_form/ as the banks received money from TARP and federal bailout money and this is taxpayer money, they are held to a higher standard and they must honor consumer's requests.

9. Report Trump University to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC): https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

10. Report Trump University to the Department of Justice (DOJ): http://www.justice.gov/contact-us.html (email to [protected]@usdoj.gov)

11. Report Trump University to the Federal Bureau of Investigation: http://www.fbi.gov/contactus.htm. Write to the Washington DC headquarters and email the NY (Manhattan) local office: http://newyork.fbi.gov/ (email: [protected]@ic.fbi.gov)

12. Report Trump University to your State Senator and Congressman (not NY's): Find them here: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm and http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:TSEao_BKsFQJ:www.house.gov/writerep/+complain+to+my+state+senator&cd=3&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us. Note whether they are Democratic or Republican and how they have voted on past issues so as to pick the Senator or Congressman who will most likely want to take action.

13. Report Trump University to the various nationwide consumer advocate agencies including Consumer Action at http://www.consumer-action.org/hotline/complaint_form/ who will forward your story to the media for you, National Association of Consumer Advocates at http://www.naca.net/tell-your-consumer-rights-abuse-story/ who get daily requests from media, Congress and state legislators for stories on consumer abuse to help fight it.

14. Send Trump University a letter from your attorney on your attorney's letterhead stating they you are seeking restitution for damages simply in the form of a refund and will not pursue further legal course for any amount above and beyond as long as you receive a FULL REFUND. This should cost a few hundred dollars but is well worth so Trump University knows you are serious enough to sue.

15. Contact the following top, high profile class action law firms listed below and if they move forward give them all of the posts such as this that you find, or pass on information if you do hear of a class action law firm trying to pursue this matter here so we may all get on the case. The more a law firm feels confident in a case, the more they will want to pursue it. If they have hundreds of people willing to participate and already have evidence of stacks of complaints being filed with agencies throughout New York, they will more likely want to put in the effort that a class action requires (tons of discovery and maybe a year of work or more). Remember, if a class action is actually filed, the chances of a settlement making all of us financially whole is great as over 90% of civil cases filed never go to trial and are settled out of court. I would suggest reporting to all of these firms as many firms may need to be contacted prior to taking on such a case: https://www.milberg.com/contact/reportafraud.aspx (fill out online form...you can remain anonymous but if you want to partake in any action it's best to leave them your contact information), http://www.btkmc.com/contact.php (email or call),
https://www.csgrr.com/csgrr-cgi-bin/mil?templ=contact/report-fraud.html (email and include your name), http://www.blbglaw.com/practices/030 (contact Gerald Silk per link at bottom of page by email or phone)

16. If all else fails (give everything above a minimum of 3-6 months), then file with the NY small claims court for a maximum verdict of $5, 000...while for many this is a small amount compared to the typical $15, 000-$50, 000 expenditure, it is better than nothing and requires a small filing fee and plane ticket (you can return in the same day to save on hotel). While this is out of pocket money, it is well worth it to receive thousands back but you decide. Chances are a Trump University rep may never show as they are wasting valuable office time particularly if they get many filings and requests to appear and without an appearance my understanding is that you automatically win but you should confirm this directly with the court http://www.nycourts.gov/courts/nyc/smallclaims/forms/InstructionsforFiling.pdf. If you do win and have trouble collecting funds, then hire a collections agency for free (Google collections agency) who will take somewhere between 30-40% to collect the funds only once they are collected.

17. If you are really angry, feel free to PROTEST at the entrance of the hotels where the Trump University seminar "retreat" atrocities are being conducted should one come back to your town. Grab a group of others in your area and have at it. This is considered free speech and a constitutional right if you have an opinion but if you are fearful of slander, research the law before going.

18. Last but not least be careful about signing any agreement between you and Trump University that they may send your way BEFORE receiving a cashier's check that you receive and cash as I have heard of some tales of this. Do not let them scam you again removing all of your rights to sue them, report them to regulatory agencies etc... until you receive repayment in full.

19. If at any time anyone from Trump University tells you to stop contacting them or refers you to their outside counsel/law firm which they very well might if you are this persistent, realize this is an attempt to stop you and don't stop, but also do not further contact them as this could be construed as harrassment. At this point, reference this in your letter that they have attempted to derail communication and refused to cooperate and rely on the outside agencies and possibly an attorney's letter (consult an attorney on the legality of further direct communication and what consistutes harrassment with Trump University).

20. Finally, should you receive any POSITIVE RESULTS please share these online here so as to encourage everyone else and share tactics that work. I hope the time I have devoted for free here makes a difference in all of your lives as I want to see all of the Davids win over Goliath. It is possible. Have faith!

Disclaimer: Please note I am not an attorney or rendering legal advice, so other than consulting the regulatory agencies mentioned, you must ask your counsel for their opinions on protests, direct communication, or other strategies mentioned above with Trump University should you be uncertain of your rights and the laws that govern your states. This post is for informational purposes only and provides information already available to the public through the regulatory agencies, websites, consumer advocacy groups and law firms. Before making any decisions regarding contacting any of the publicly available resources listed, you should contact an attorney to be fully aware of your rights and legal ramifications of any action taken.

Good luck!

Trump University Fraud and Financial Damage

I second all comments made in the November posting. I maxed out my cards to pay for the Elite Gold Package, and my credit score plummeted from 719 to 633. And, the courses are total "fluff". I actually counted the instructional hours at the last 3-day "retreat" I took on commercial real estate. There were exactly 5.5 hours of "training", with the rest of the time spent on breaks (where there were no refreshments other than tap water with ice), starting late, upselling the "CD" recording of that seminar I was sitting in (but not allowed to record) and my favorite, the seminar leader selling his own books and programs. It was really all too much.

I'm also a Realtor, and 2 days later I took a 1-day class given by another realtor, a real expert in commercial real estate. And I learned more in that 7.5 hours than I did the entire 3 days at the Trump seminar. I paid less than $500 for that course. The Trump course was $5, 000.

I've contacted Trump University and they say they are not going to refund a penny. Well, anyone who wants to join in a lawsuit, I'd like to see this kind of fraud stopped. The Donald has enough money, don't you think?

Like most of you, I signed up for the Trump University 3 day retreat, but was not able to attend the class because of a family emergency. I have been trying to get my refund going on three months. Each time I call, they keep giving me the run around about my refund. I don’t know what else to do. Filing a complaint to the BBB is not going to get my money back, because I've already tried that. Seeking legal action would end up costing me more than the $1495 I paid for the class. I can not turn my back and do nothing, that is a lot of money for me. It may be pocket change for Donald. If anyone have any suggestion please email me at chocolilli@msn.com.

First the give you a two hour “free seminar” which is nothing more that
a sales speech, a very good one by the way, so good over 50 people,
including myself signed up for the so call “3-day retreat” for “only”
$1, 495.00.
At the retreat, the only three things that happened: they pre-qualify
you for their $35, 000.00 GOLD PACKAGE, [2] they ask you to call all
your credit card companies and request a credit limit increase (so you
can pay for the 35K), then during three days the sell you over and over
their mentoring services and keep telling you that the information you
are waiting to hear is coming… three days later nothing worth is
mention. Their material is completely worthless. 100+ pages of
content-empty power point print outs.
I requested a refund, both in person and in writing and was denied
with a sorry but we can’t honor your refund request refund.
Over 70% of the participants felt the same way and are now trying to
get their money back via their credit card companies and some writing

I read lots of Trump books and had admiration for Mr. Trump. Therefore, I went to the 2 hours free information and was sold a 3 days how to profit in foreclosure for $1495. Then came the 3 days which I was looking forward to; and there was Mr. J. Harris there waiting for the trap. He told us that you can not learn anything in 3 days unless you get a mentor who will help you succeed in this business. During the 3 days, they misleading you to open more credit cards, raise your credit lines, and call anyone who have money to pay for their expensive $35, 000 seminars package. Mr. J. Harris also said that Mr. Trump is so wealthy that he doesn't need your pity $35, 000, he only did it because he felt right to do so and help out people, which was totally B.S.

The mentor came out, some from out of state, some from other regions, some doesn't even know the area, and they all tried to teach you about your areas. The mentor I had tried to sell me stuffs out of state, which I'm living in CA, and I believe it was totally wrong. They didn't teach you anything about seller financing, negotiations, finding deals, or funding deals, or any other useful strategies that the real deals are using.

They took you around go look at houses, and told you to make low offers on REO. Going to look at houses, you can get agents to show you at houses for free of charge. Make low offers, you can go get agents to help you write offers all day long. Also, making low offers on REO is like running along with the herds, everyone is doing it, there's nothing special about it.

3 days go by and they just doing the same everyday. Nothing special. The third days, they hand you some random websites that they'd pulled off from internet and tell you to visit it. Gave you some phony agent number from somewhere and told you to call, which the agent refused to make low offers for you. And, there, the mentor went off to the sunset along with your $35k.

I am very disappointed for some one whom I always look up to with very high regards!

My brother and I went to the 2 hour session and I felt like I was listening to a high powered used car salesman. The guy was so arrogant with his "yes or no" at the end of each statement, I wanted to beat the crap out of him. Like other comments here, they do make you feel good about it and you do begin to feel like it can work for you. At the end we asked one of the guys a simple question, " How do you investigate a property to make sure there are no leins against that property and if there are how do you guys recommend that they get removed." The answer was, "they will cover that in the 3 day session." Also, they wanted our money that night or no deal. You can not call them in NY and sign up. That in itself turnrd on the light bulb for me. My brother and I left the room without signing up. They will tell you that you don't want to be in the 80% group that leave without signing up and that the 20% that do are the real go getters and winners. Its a real psychology glass more than anything else. DON'T FALL FOR THEIR BS.

I, too, signed up for the 3 day class at $1495, after attending the 2 hour free event. The deal was, if you were dissatisfied after the 1st day, you could get your money back. The first day was full of excellent information, so of course, no one wanted their money back. The next 2 days were completely worthless. The focus for those 2 days was to sell you on other programs. About half of the topics listed in the curriculum were never reached at all. They kept saying they'd get to them, but never did. There were people who were happy with the class & some were ready to sign up for the next course, but most were not. I expressed my displeasure in the end-of-class evaluation, not rudely, but succinctly. I stayed in touch with a few people who did not sign up for more classes, but did not express displeasure in their evaluations. Those people were contacted by TrumpU & offered more deals that weren't on the website or offered in class. I was never contacted. Hmm... Wonder why... If they'd given me my money's worth for those 3 days, I would gladly have signed up for more. That would certainly be a better way of doing business.

The content is fairly high level material. It is geared for people who are go-getters. No matter how good a course is you can't pound nails into concrete. after reading the above comments, there is one thing everyone has in common, you all spent your money and feel ike you didn't get anything for it. The same could be true about anything... how many times have you gone to a movie that was terrible? Did you then publicly bash it on the internet? Some programs work for people, and some don't. There is obvioucly a large number of people these seminars are helping to succeed, otherwise the seminars wouldn't keep poppig up in every major city in the US.

Everything taught at this seminar I already knew just from reading
books I bought at Barnes and Noble.
If you buy books on lease options, forclosure, and asset protection
for about $100 you will have all the info you get from Trunp U

Giving a Voice to Consumers

We support genuine feedback

At ComplaintsBoard, we know how real consumer issues matter. Our platform is a special place for honest opinions, where people share their reviews openly and honestly, whether good or bad.

We are committed to authenticity

Our team checks each complaint or review thoroughly to confirm that each one comes from a real customer experience, keeping our platform trustworthy.

We prefer proof

We're totally cool with complaints, as long as you've got some evidence to back it up. Whether it's a photo, a detailed story, or documents, providing evidence makes your complaint more believable and helps others make smart choices.

We’re all about conversations

ComplaintsBoard is more than just a place to share complaints; it's a community where we talk things out fairly. We welcome reviews that not only point out problems but also mention any positive experiences, giving a balanced view.

We are open to everyone

We're dedicated to providing a fair and unbiased platform for all complaints. Every complaint is important to us, no matter what it's about, ensuring your concerns are heard and respected.
