usbi clear world communications Slamming

CClear World Communication (CWC) called me with all my information on hand, saying that "they were a government approved company to provide low rate services to low incomes families" and offered me a flat rate of $7.95. It appears to be a very good deal, so I make the verbal agreement, which was recorded, and after that the operator told me that I will be paying by used minutes, which was not said before the agreement. I deny then to enroll with them, so I asked the operator to cancel the agreement. She asked me to take my time to think about it, and that they will call me in three days to see if I want to change. The never, call...

Few weeks later I received a letter from my company (AT&T) which explained that I have change my local calls company and now I don't qualify to some of their offers. I called AT&T and told them that it was an unauthorized change, and asked them to cancel Clear World services.

When I received my bill there were $83.17 of Clear World charges, billing me by minutes used. I called AT&T again and they removed the third party charges and put a "lock" to my account, to prevent slamming.

Next month bill came with $21 of Clear World charges and AGAIN called AT&T to let them know about the unauthorized charges; this time they asked me to call Clear World. I call Clear World and explained them what was happening and the operator said they got "a recorded agreement with my voice and I have to paid the charges". I explained her what happened with that "agreement", that was supposed to be annulled. She said "they were recently informed by my company that I canceled their services, but I still have to pay for the charges that sum $104.17". I asked her for an investigation, and she said "they can't do nothing about it, because it was a legal agreement and I have to pay for it".

I put a complaint on the California. Public Utilities Commission, I just hope that they can do something and, not only I don't have to pay, they can prevent people to be scammed by these "company", that is nothing more that a group of thieves!

Dear Cooper:
AT&T provides a service to lock your account and prevent slamming. So, next time any third party tries to act over your account, will be denied, and YOU have to call directly to them to allow any change. About Clear World, the best we can do is to make a complaint in the Public Utilities Commission, that way they can protect our rights and keep a public record over this company and its fraud methods of make incomes. By the way, I'm still waiting for the decision of my complaint. Hope we can solve it for good. Best wishes...

They said they will canceled my service and hang up on me without taking my account info. I said I called earlier and the rep hung up on me, and they told me she didn't hang up that I was being transfered. Clearly lying. I called several months ago to cancel my service and they never did. I wish 60 minute or msnbc would do a documentary showing this company bad business scheme and lying tactic.

I am planning to report something to the Better Bussiness Bereau. They are a fraud. I've called them on at least three seperate occations when they tried to charge me. They always play back a recorded agreement of Oct. 2009 despite the fact that we called about two times after that cancelling any services with them and emphazising that we DO NOT want their services or any long distance service. They are a fraud! I asked for English they gave me Spanish. The lady Lourdes Garcia was super rude. Wouldn't listen to me the customer. I asked for a supervisor she said she was the supervisor. When I asked for a bussiness number or something to identify them with (that allows them to do business in the US) she said she didn't have one! Within 5 min. she just conceited and told me the carges would be subtracted and their service cancelled within 48 hrs. I AM STILL REPORTING THEM!

Clear World is TOTALLY scam. They started adding charges to my Verizon bill. I talked to 2 reps and they refused to remove the charges claiming that I've been a customer and that they'd cancel my service but not the charges. The fees are new they said, which I never got a notification about in advance, and of course, they said they sent then quickly offered to cancel my service right away. Clear World needs to be shut down!

USBI is a total 100% scam. They operate as a billing service for Qwest. Another class-less slime ball in the telecommunications industry. Tomorrow I will be visiting the Louisiana Public Service Commision and Attorney General to take whatever means neccessary to resolve this issue.

Same problem, here they are unprofessional and hung up the phone on me several times. Very bad customer service! And I was also a victim of them, after I had canceled the service a month before they still charged me the next month and claimed that I never canceled there service.

I've been paying my phone bill for months wondering why my rates have nearly doubled in 4 months. Apparently clear world communication has added to our provider and they have been raising our rates. I've never authorized or even knew about clear world communications. I call Verizon asking them what is going on, they tell me they don't know and can't do anything I have to call clear world communications and ask. I've been calling for 3 days though and been on hold for 40 minutes, 65 minutes, and 32minutes. Each time something came up and I just could not wait anymore. They are running some kind of scam here where they have unauthorized access to my account and keep raising my rates.

June 13, 2009 4-27 unauthorized charges placed on my att bill - I do not know and i did not order usbi clear world comm charges put on my ATT bill. This is the second time in a few weeks usbie slammed me. WHAT CAN BE DONE ? DOES THE FCC DO SOMETHINMG ?
