VarTec Telecom False charges on our bill

The vartec rep said we used their service.We did not use and had no contract with them.They simply said we made call and had to pay.This was on our ATT bill and happened in the past.This company should be investigated for fraud and consumer abuse.

First my wife called and she told me the rep she spoke with told her the you made call and have to pay, and we have contract.

I did not believe it so I called and sure enough the same answer was given to me from rep who would not give his name only William.

VarTec Telecom Pissed off

I cancelled my service they are still billing me say they have no reference to me calling and terminating my service as of dec.2010 cannot understand their representatives that answer your callsThey are very ignorant on the phone they argue with you They keep telling me that I owe them money I am not paying for long distance calls that I did not make.They think I am going to pay a bill plus late charges when I do not ow them any money I am going to report them here in baltimore Md as they should have b

VarTec Telecom is some kind of fraudulent telecom provider. They started showing up on my Qwest bill and the amounts were so small we just blindly paid them. (Our mistake). When calling to find out about what was going on, Qwest was not helpful at all. First, they made me call "USBI". USBI transferred me to Excel communications. Excel then transferreed me...

VarTec Telecom Waiting five months for a credit & broken promises

I have been waiting since March, 2008 for a $5.31 credit to be posted to my local AT & T invoice. I have made at least 6 calls to Customer service, including talking to a supervisor. They have called me back with a message that I will be receiving my credit within one or two billing cycles. The phone message says that you should receive the credit within ten - twelve business days. These guys are snakes! And now I can't conveniently get through their telephone lines. My next step is to contact the Better Business Bureau. All they do is give you the run-around.

VarTec Telecom Don't use

Do not use Vartec phone service for your long distance calls unless you want to be ripped off.

I sent two faxes which was .30 each, a total of .60

When I received my phone bill the charge to Vartec was $8.82. They had the following charges.

1. Fax 3.0 min .030

2. Fax 3.0 min .030

3. Fed Univ. SRV Fund Reimbursement .59

4. Dimeline Monthly USG fee 1.95

5. Carrier Cost Recovery Fee 1.97

6. Vartec Long Dist. Min. Usage Fee 2.98

Total Charges 7.49

Taxes.

7. Federal .00

8. State and Local .73

Total Vartec 8.82

Needless to say I am no longer with Vartec

I have been making international calls with Vartec for at least 10 years. There never was any proplem for as long as it was Vartec. After Vartec was bought by Excell there have been problems galore. A international call to 22 countries in Western Europe is suppost to be $0.03 per minute.Suddenly they carged me $0.21 per minute. They claimed that I call a cell phone. I kept on using their service for far to long and have been overcharged by well over $ 400.00. customer service is extremly poor. The people who answer have no authority and tell you to send a fax to Irving Texas. I have done so 4 times and never received an answer. To settle my overcharged account I quit using Vartec.It went on for at least one year before I was able to get hold of a person at customer relations . For international calls check out 1010228.com and 1010229.com . I can call Western Europe and Australia for $ 0.019 per minute . With 1010229 it cost $ 0.05 per minute. Check it out and do not use Vartec Telecom, Excell and what other names they hide under.

VarTec Telecom Terrible customer service

This is the worst example of customer service I've ever experienced. Was trying to move service for my parents from one address to another in the same small town. Vartec is the carrier. They’ve not yet moves the service. So far my parents have been without a phone for almost a month.

At first Vartec said we gave them the wrong address, but they never bothered to call the contact number I gave them to let me know. Then they told me I gave them the wrong zip code. Even though the zip code for the whole city is the same.

Now they just leave me on permanent hold, too many times for it to be a mistake. Even when I ask to speak with a supervisor, I'm left on hold.

This has been going on the entire time. If this had been my service, I would have cancelled them on the second call. In this case, I tried to work through it because it was my parent's phone line. Bad mistake.

Please be warned - - don't use Vartec.
