I signed up with Welcome Wagon last year. It was the biggest mistake I have ever made.. I pay $699 per month. I didn't realize it was one year contract. I have called them and emailed them and told them how much I have lost in money and have nothing to show for it.. No leads, no phone calls.. A BIG WASTE OF MONEY.. I wish I could get out but don't get much...

I signed up for a year with welcome wagon. I was not informed at the time of signing up that the contract would be auto renewed. I paid upfront for the year with a credit card. I have informed Welcome Wagon that I would like to discontinue using their service, yet they keep charging me. I dispute the charges on my credit card and then get an angry email from them. This is not a company I would recommend!

Welcome Wagon Scam

A sales rep came from Fort Wayne to sell me on the idea of sending postcards to all new move-ins in a three county area. I signed a contract...afterall, it was Welcome Wagon. For $54.56 a month I got the postcard, supposedly sent out by them to all the new people. Finally figured out nothing was being sent except to me. Tried calling the Fort Wayne number and it was disconnected. The Florida address was no good either. So another good company's name being used to scam people.

Welcome Wagon Auto renew/ after cancelling

Signed up for welcome wagon for one year to see how it would work for our appliance repair business. We got 1 customer so decided we didn't want it, OOPS ! too late, although I was reassured that they wouldn't, they re-upped us. We cancelled, well that doesn't matter either, they re-upped us again. So they re-up you for 100.00 amonth even when you cancel them. Hopefully our knight on a white horse American Express will let them know they've been cancelled another way. DO NOT sign with these people, they are not the welcome wagon we all knew and loved.

Can you take them to small claims court? And show that you have been trying to cancel, with them just ignoring your instructions? Good luck, I had the same problem. Got most of my money back, but not all.

Before nearing the end of my contract I never had a complaint about Welcome Wagon. My contract was up in September and I wanted to try different means of advertising. I called in June to cancel, spoke to a man who asked if there was anything they could change to keep us, I declined and thought that was that. In September, I called to ensure that the final...

Welcome Wagon Misrepresentation

I signed an agreement for services with Welcome Wagon (Coral Springs, FL) in October 2011. The representative stated mailers would be sent to my local community in December 2011- and that I would receive the results before Feb 2012. They failed to deliver as promised (although they have continued charging monthly for their fee). When I contacted Welcome Wagon directly, Linda Farley was rude and unhelpful. When asked for the President's name/phone - she replied "We don't have one". When I shared I was upset without having any resolution, Linda responded "If you complain to the BBB be sure to send them your 1-year agreement". Misrepresentation is what the Welcome Wagon delivers. And they prefer not to be bothered with your complaints.

I signed up - paid 3 months of fees for their service to market to my local community. I have received NOTHING in return. I tried contacting the company only to receive rude insolent replies. I have contacted my State's Attorney General Office, Florida State Attorney General's Office, and will be seeking legal counsel to deal with this horrible company. RIP OFF ALERT!

Welcome Wagon Horrible customer service

This is the worst company ever. They will sign you into a contract and make all sorts of promises and then forget about you. And good luck if you want to try and cancel your contract. It took me a dozen or so emails, faxed leters, certified letters, a warning from my attorney and complaints to the State Attorney General, Better Business Bureau, and Federal Trade Commission. Stay away from them.

This company is a joke I was told all these great deals and business I was going to get in The Woodlands/Spring, Texas area and over a time line of one year I got zero business and I had to call them all the time to remind them to send me the list I had to pay extra for.
I will never use them again and would strongly recommend other to stay clear of this rip-off company

Before nearing the end of my contract I never had a complaint about Welcome Wagon. My contract was up in September and I wanted to try different means of advertising. I called in June to cancel, spoke to a man who asked if there was anything they could change to keep us, I declined and thought that was that. In September, I called to ensure that the final installment was withdrawn, and left a voicemail, as I could not reach anyone. I called again the next day, no answer. I then sent 2 emails with no response. Miraculously, after our contract had "auto-renewed" I received an email from Linda Farley stating that it was too late, they have no record of our June phone call and the account had renewed. The best she could offer me was a six month contract at half price ( the same promo being offered to new clients). I'm afraid that in six months, this person won't exist and I will be stuck forever. Take some responsibility! I have filed complaints with their corporate office, the BBB and our State's Attorney...Stay tuned for an update!

If I could give this less than one star I would! This company is a SCAM!
We had been sold this contract and program with the belief of low maintenance, accurate and up-to-date new mover addresses, and value. We had given the product over 10 months to perform and the reasons the company purchased this program have not been met. Monthly, the program reproved that a number of the addresses were inaccurate. The United States Postal Service “Vacant” stamp being marked on the envelopes was validated this. To date, we have received over 115 pieces returned. These errors cost time and money. Additionally, the quantity of guaranteed mail pieces to be sent each was not met. Each month the Welcome Wagon has not been up to the standards upon which it was portrayed and sold. In short, the program is yielding no results for our company and additionally is causing internal work. We had given the Welcome Wagon a very fair and reasonable amount of time to work and it simply is not. Half of the contract length should be a fair assessment of the results this program can procure. When we tried to discuss this with the company they refused to take responsibility and kept waiving the contract in front of us. We would recommend this company to no one!

I utilized Welcome Wagon for almost 5 years when I owned 3 retail upscale consignment stores. My stores were very specialized, and not everyone needed/wanted what I offered. I also spent a great deal of money on Radio, Newspaper and Magazine advertising, as well as flyers, etc. Dollar for Dollar, the most cost effective way I reached out these new movers was with WW...I followed up with a letter welcoming them to the neighborhood and let them know I was here if they ever needed my services. It worked! I had customers come in 2-3 years LATER, mentioning the Welcome Wagon Book they received when they first moved in! They also mentioned my letter and the fact that I kept them in mind when I had sales, specials, etc and about expanding what I offered. I am sorry people didn't have a good experience...this program is definitely "what you put into it, you will get out of it". It's also about keeping your business in front of these people. Think about how much money is wasted on advertising where you put it out there, and just hope people respond. This is the ONLY program I know of where you can continue to reach out. They are owned by a new company, and I just recently saw their new gift book program...it is awesome!

Welcome Wagon representative sold our business an advertising package which mailed our offer to all new households within a specific area for the entire year. After three mailings we saw no interest from the Welcome Wagon offer and left several messages for the person who sold the package. She never returned our calls so we contacted the main office only...
