unauthorized withdrawal fr checking acct
Only a $4.99 charge on my checking account, but still, it was unauthorized. Reported to my bank (M&T) - they were unable to tell me who/what it was and refused to credit my acct. unless I signed an affadavit, which I did. No clue who accessed my acct or what for - per web searches, WFC = Wells Fargo Corp and PBP = pay by phone. Other that that, I am clueless. And annoyed.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Fraud
I just noticed two strange looking charges made to my checking account and called my bank to report them. The charges appear as WFC PBP CP WEB PMT. The charges are one for $50.00 and one for $57.00 and were made on January 5 and January 19, 2011 respectively. When I contacted my bank, I was told that they could't verify the companies that submitted these...

Today is 1/11/2012 and WFC PBP CP WEB PMT 010812 [protected] just did the same to me for $130.00. Bank better fix this!
I just got the same thing on my bank statement and I have no account with HSN program. I am going to the bank to fill out the paperwork close out the account this type of fraud needs to be stopped. My Amount taken is $ 40.00 and says auto withdrawl I think not.
This charge is an online credit card payment so check your credit card acct and match the payments with this charge although the dates may be off by a few days because of the time it takes from the payment posting to your credit card and posting to your bank account but the amounts should match. World Financial Corp Bank is who issues your credit card and for me it's my HSN credit card for the HOME SHOPPING NETWORK. I was alarmed at first too but when I saw one of my credit card payments or I should say the name of my credit card wasn't showing like the others I did a little research and found it was my HSN card.
This is an online credit card payment you made. Check your online payments with the amount of the charge on your bank statement and you'll find they match. World Financial Capital Bank and is my HSN (Home Shopping Network) credit card payment. WFC is the bank that issues the credit card.
