XS Cargo Let the Buyer Beware

When they say, 'let the buyer beware' they are referring to XS Cargo. We purchased 2 items from the London, Ontario location - a battery-operated floor sweeper and a hose reel. The floor sweeper was so cheaply made it broke during assembly. We took it back and asked to upgrade to a different model which they had in stock, and were told 'our policy is that you have to exchange it for the identical item.' The manager even told us that he would be fired if he dared to stray from policy. This seemed odd considering they had lots of both items in stock, they were going to exchange it anyways, and we wanted to spend more money on the upgrade. My mom also bought a hose reel that was too small for her hose and she was told the same thing 'policy, policy, policy'. Again we were just looking to spend more money and the item was still in original packaging and had been purchased only a few days before. To make matters worse I sent an email to the company over 10 days ago expressing these concerns and no one even bothered to reply! Buyers be warned: if you want to purchase something of quality and feel confident that you are getting a warranty that is backed by the company selling it, find another place to shop! Yes, it's cheap, but be warned - you're stuck with it no matter what!

XS Cargo USB flash memory drive

I purchased an advertised 16GB USB flash drive at XS Cargo. When I tested it I found it's only 1GB but tells Windows it's 16GB; it lets you save 16GB of data on it but it loses the last 15GB. I now know that fake drives like this are commonly sold on eBay. I don't yet know if XS Cargo is knowingly selling fraudulently misrepresented merchandise or is a victim themselves; their response when I told them of this problem was "contact our head office via our website" which I did as best I could, since they allow only 450 characters. I'm waiting to see if they respond. Meanwhile, don't purchase any USB flash drive you can't return for a refund, and test all new drives immediately with the free program "H2testw" before saving your data on them.

Hi,

I recently purchased a USB thumb / flash drive from XS Cargo. I do not recall the name / model but the interesting thing is that when I brought it home and plugged it into my computer, my computer crashed to the "Blue Screen of Death" and my Kaspersky Internet Security / Antivirus popped up seconds before this occurred to say that a driver was acting suspicious. My computer thankfully recovered but the USB flash drive was a total dud. Not sure if it instaleld malware... seems my Kaspersky caught it in the nick of time. Said "Made in China" and was either a no-name USB or some entirely forgetable name that couldn't be Googled! So thanks for posting your comment kafubu. I figured I wasn't the only person experiencing these sort of things with suspicious electronics from XS cargo. They did offer me a refund, rare but if you push, they will yield... afterall, deep down they know they are selling junk! Cheers!

XS Cargo Did not honor warranty

Don't buy electronics from XS cargo.
They did not honor the 30 day warranty on a door alarm that I bought from them 2 days ago. Their are suppose to exchange defective products if they are defective within 30 days. That is what I was told when I purchased the item. The reason given for not exchanging the product didn't even make sense. They said the wire was not part of the warranty? The wire is what makes it work. Loose wire, guess what? NO Alarm. DUH!
You make no sense!
XS cargo you are busted, as a bad for consumers business!
They are bad business if they do not honor their own warranty policy.
Don't buy electronic goods at XS Cargo.

XS Cargo Do not deal there

They refuse to exhange a phone I bought yesterday claim that was not their policy. I found out that the caller I

D does work in Canada. Because I did not notice this they claim that I am stuck with it. They their policy is no return for cash which I understood. When I phone them yesterday they told me to bring it in. I found the gentleman very rude. Do not deal there.
