This breeder is cheep for a reason she will not let you see the cattery, she will only meet you at a pet store near her or have meeting at a foster home. Then while on visit she would not let me meet the parents. She stated they where mean and would hiss bite or scratch. ( these are not ragdoll traits) she actually told me she could sell me a discount kitten due to "possible Inbreeding" what is that? how is BREEDING possible? ( a cattery who cant remember who she bread who with) and Inbreed. You should be ashamed of yourself. then you have a spot on your site for your boss- God... inbreeding is not a godly act. gross! YOU NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.
Okay...clearly you are unintelligent as you can't properly spell the word CHEAP, not to mention the fact you cannot form sentences that make sense, for instance using the word 'where' instead of 'were'. They where mean? What does that mean?... Imbecile get a dictionary...better yet go back and complete elementary English before write another complaint...maybe then it will make sense...or how you write since ###.
We care more about the guys experience than his ability to spell. I too have had a bad experience with Roses Rags, reed my review.
I found Roses Rags when she's posting a picture of a cat she has already homed or no longer has available on CL, she talked me into a different cat.I was very specific about the type of cat I wanted, a lap cat precisely . Since she was the breeder I decided to gamble. She met me at a pet store for about 10 minutes with eager to get out of there and be done with me, I've been very specific and explained to her how much I wanted a lap cat. Told me this was the cat for me, when I called her back telling her my doubts about the compatibility, she seemed frustrated and would not answer my calls in a timely manner. At first she offered to replace him with a cat that she had been breeding and had just stopped breeding. I thought this was sad and I knew this was not going to be a good situation for me. She did decide to offer me part of my money after only a week, but would usually call me when I couldn't or wasn't available because I was at work, and when she finally did call me I was surprised that she had called me because several days have gone by, rather than truly helping me out she was trying to get rid of a problem which was me, this made me more confused and frustrated about the situation. She finally told me she didn't have time for me and when I told her that I would probably home him in a different home she didn't seem to care. it's up to you guys and who you do business with I've had a pretty sour experience with her. She hasn't removed the picture of that one cat she seems to offer but no longer has, bait-and-switch is what I think. This Kitty may or may not be a year old, she couldn't even tell me when he was born, he does not barely tolerate being picked up likes attention on his own terms and likes to hang out by himself a lot, this or not what I consider to be Ragdoll trait which is why I had gone for a ragdoll to begin with. I didn't want a regular cat, if so I wouldn't spend the money that I did. In my opinion she doesn't have the proper time it takes as a breeder and since it's the holiday season I'm sure she's really busy getting rid of all kittens and raking in the Bucks. This has been my experience you decide for yourself.
Those persons do not know how to treat animals let alone run a business. I have not faced more rude and unprofessional person in my life. Stay away!
We adopted two beautiful babies from jamilias Ragdolls and we found her quite the opposite. She welcomed us into her home to visit the kitties and visit with them for hours, until two special babies chose us! Jamila gives so much love and attention to all of her cats and kittens-- it's very obvious because otherwise their personalities would be different. Her home is clean- odor free- and the kitties love her because they are in such a nurturing environment... I bet whomever posted this complaint is her competition, because we have seen bad breeders and Jamila us NOT one of them. Our kitties are 6 mos old now, in perfect health and two of the most affectionate cats I have ever owned. Talk to someone who HAS adopted from jamilia and you will hear a similar story as mine I am quite sure!
My experience with Jamila is also quite the opposite. I've been to her home, which also serves as her cattery, and it is extremely clean, no odors and there are numerous toys and cat trees to entertain the kitties. They all seem very happy and I know she loves them all as if they were her own until they find their forever home. If there is ever an issue with an illness that cat or kitten is immediately quarantined and vet care is sought out to ensure the illness is not contagious to the others. Jamila takes great care to ensure that her kitties are healthy, happy and are placed in loving homes. We have two kitties from Jamila and they are the best cats we have ever owned. We call them our "Velcro" cats because they are always with us and have the best personalities. They act more like dogs because they want to be with their humans instead of hiding in a closet like most cats do. I wouldn't trade them for anything and I take offense to the fact that someone would file a complaint about such a wonderful breeder of these awesome cats! I, too, feel this poster must be in competition with Jamila because if they truly had any interaction with her they would not have posted such a negative remark because she is the most kind-hearted, personable person I know and I can't imagine she would ever be rude to anyone.
I also agree with Jen F - our kitties are our "puppy-cats" as we affectionately call them. They follow us everywhere, they have to be either next to us, or within ear shot of us or in view of us. They are simply the best cats we have ever had! I would def adopt from Jamilia again in a heartbeat!
We bought a kitten / cat from a Foster Home of this Cattery. She does not like to be picked up, carried, or have her belly rubbed. Hisses and pins her ears often. We have a Ragdoll and this kitten/ cat is nothing like the one we have. We were also told one of the parents could not be registered ! Hmmm Red Flag Unfortunately we put things together too late. Wish I wouldn't have gone for cheap and went with a different Breeder.
We purchased our cat in, I believe it was, Febuary 2017. He was 4 months old so we got him for a lesser price.
When we brought him home, he was wary of people, but warmed up over time with lots of love and devotion, as it would be with any animal.
He was healthy upon receiving him, and still is as an adult. Never had any issues health wise.
Communication wasn't exceptional, but honestly it wasn't bad either. We asked questions, and she gave us answers. Simple as that.
When you purchase and raise an animal it's your job to train it, and with your love and affection, it will become what you desire. You want a cat to snuggle with you ? Teach it. It's simple. Don't blame a breeder for your lack of responsibility.
I don't believe any responsible breeder should let people they don't know into their homes, it is very easy to spread different diseases, and letting god knows who in and out of your house isn't helping that.
As far as inbreeding goes, it's not a "gross" act, it can actually improve the temperaments and different traits of your animals . As long as you don't continuously inbreed for generations and generations, there won't be any issue with the animal itself if you're responsible while doing so. The fact that she let you know it the cat could of been inbred makes me like her even more, a lot of breeders would lie about that.
So, overall, I would recommend this breeder, it's not the most responsible and respectable breeder out there (obviously), but also not a bad breeder, either.
I have also had a bad experience with Roses Rags. I've had many cats in the past who I rescued. This time I wanted this specific breed for many reasons. So, I bought a 3 month old kitten from Roses Rags who clearly had not been at all socialized. She never wanted (and still doesn't want) to be picked up or barely touched. She only purrs when she wakes me up in the morning to be fed. She's very skittish with anyone new coming into the house and even with my adult daughter who has never been anything but kind and gentle with her. I had to lovingly train her out of being a biter, which seems is in her nature as she was an extremely aggressive biting kitten. Again, I have had many pets over the years and know how to treat them well. They've all been happy, sociable creatures who lived well beyond their expected years. So whoever said something about "people are responsible for their pet's behavior" in this instance with this breeder is full of crap. We decide to buy certain breeds for their genetically specialized traits. In the case of Roses Rags, they seem anything but Ragdoll like in traits or behavior other than their physical appearance. My cat is now over a year old, and I committed to her for life, so I never tried to return her. The kicker, however, was that she was also diagnosed with juvenile stomatitus which will likely result in the need to remove all of her teeth. She already had to have surgery at 6 months old. It's an incurable gum disease that leads to many sores in the mouth as well as the gums. When kittens have it already, it's definitely genetic. So this woman's poor breeding practices are passing along genetic defects as well as bad behavior. I highly recommend buying your ragdoll from another breeder. My lesson, stick with rescued "mutt" kittens.
