The Ruby Cargo Warehouse fire incident on 06July2920
We are a victim of the Ruby Warehouse Fire, Al Quoz, Dubai.
We lost all our belongings in that fire. There has been no sort of support or update from the company, authorities, Governments nothing.
We have veen to the Indian Consulate in Dubai and we refeeed to a Lawyer, but as no progress has happened in Ciurt we are left wuth no answer to our crys and woes
Desired outcome: Need to get compensated for our loss and priceless memoirs.
5cbm cargo sent to India lying in warehouse since march 2021
I have been struggling to recover my 5 CBM cargo which was handed over to Ruby Cargo for delivery to India, since more than 6 months now.
We had contacted them for sending our Cargo to Goa, India in March 2021 and due to Covid protocols we were not able to travel. Alternately when the travel ban was open we had requested them to send door to door delivery in July but we do not have any whereabouts of the Cargo now. I believe that it is lying in their warehouse in RAs Al Khor where Mansoor Al Jalaf is the Warehouse Owner.(Mobile No. [protected]) and the Sponsor of Ruby Cargo is Abraham Sahoo (mobile No. [protected]).
I have been constantly in touch with their Sharjah branch contact no. [protected] but they are not able to help.
May I request your help in releasing our cargo from the warehouse. As i had a call with the Warehouse Owner and understand that he has sealed the same for he has not received some payments form the sponsor/owner of Ruby Cargo and the Manager has absconded. All the earlier contacts are also left now.
I do not understand why the consumer has to suffer for this.
Appreciate any help from the Dubai Police to clear this matter sooner. As i have all my household items for my kids in this cargo.
Any help from Dubai Police will be highly accepted.

Packing, storage and shipping of equipment
I had handed over my equipment to Ruby cargo on 03 Oct 2019.
For the purpose of packaging, storage & shipping it to India.
I received the e-mails regarding packaging & storage, how ever the shipping was delayed to get necessary clearance form authorities in India. Hence storage was requested. But later I came to know about the fire accident at there ware house, hence wrote multiple e-mails and called their concerned Mr. Abdul.
I had requested him to give me receipt of my equipment for which he said will be given during shipping out to India.

Worst company and criminal mind company because their criminal activity more than 200 families lost the all the valuables and memories in the fire which happened in the ruby warehouse in Rashidya.
Actually it was done purposely by Ruby Cargo. Already we tired multiple times calling them but not responding and owners are not picking up the call.

Personal cargo transportation and delivery
Had very bad and unpleasant experience with ruby cargo in terms of after sales service. Poor packing was leading to damage of goods. Very poor service from their chennai agent stating payment issues as reason. Unloading and assembly team was not following covid safety standards and were not knowledgeable. Very poor in responding to calls and email follow-up. Lack of coordination among ruby cargo team members leading to customer inconvenience. Despite paying all charges, cargo delivery got delayed more than 3 weeks owing to payment issues between ruby cargo and their chennai agent. Overall experience was very bad and unpleasant.

I am not sure, if I can lodge a complain now as this issue happened back in 2014 when I moved to UK. In fact, I sent my all stuff from Dubai to UK through Ruby cargo with an agreement that it will be delivery to my home address. But after around three months chasis its finally arrived and a company called Locker Freight called and asked me to pay 560£ to deliver to my home.
I explained to them that this is a door to door delivery I agreed with Ruby cargo but they saying it wasnt agreed with them and I have to pay this amount and if not I will have to pay extra charges for keep the good with them.
I still have all the bills, details etc but I am not sure if its too late to raise a complaint as I didnt have any clue what to do.
Could you please let me know if we can still move forward ? If yes, I can send all the documents.
Shipment of cargo items
This is Elizabeth Philip, writing this mail with lots of tears.. I was a resident of Dubai for the last 18 years and was working as a nurse in DHA. I was a front line covid fighter.. Due to some unavoidable circumstances I had to leave my job (there was no one to look after my 91 year old mother who was bedridden after a fall. While leaving Dubai we booked a jumbo box cargo items job No 15658 with Ruby cargo LLc and paid the shipment charges. In that jumbo box my 18 years of hard earnings was there and with great hope I traveled to Indi on June 28th... cargo items were taken from my home on June 13 th and I asked them to do the shipment at the earliest. how ever they delayed the shipment without any information and reason and on 13 th July I received a mail from him that they had fire at their ware house on 6 th July and there is total loss of all items.
Sir, that box is my hard earnings and all of my end of service benefit which I spent for purchasing the items thinking I could settle back peacefully in India... All my child's academic certificates, trophies and medals everything which money could not buy back was also there in the box.. how ever after lot of arguement Ruby cargo refunded the shipment charge which I gave them but for the compensation they are keeping quiet. They don't answer the phone or mails. Now I don't have anything with me not even our dress items Sir please have mercy and kindly help to get the compensation.. attached here with the documents and the packing list for your review.. I also lost all my sweet memories of 18 years of life in Dubai which was stored in laptop and hard risk.

I would like to file a complaint for ruby cargo which operating here in dubai and abu dhabi, because you don't have your own warehouse, forwarder and agent directly to philippines and not paying properly the sub-company you are using in philippines, they hold the shipment for more than 60 days that causes too much delay. First of all you get from your customer cash payment and not process our shipment on time because you're using our money to your benefits only.! please correct your business ethics. How can you get trust from people.

Bad service provided by Ruby Cargo for the door to door service from Dubai to Mumbai.
1. The people arrived at my Mumbai apartment unannounced and demanded money for unloading the cargo.
2. They did not care to open the boxes and simply dumped the stuff in my flat.
3. When I hired my own labour for opening the boxes, I was shocked to find the following:
4. The washing machine was upside down in the wooden crate and is not working properly.
5. The window AC was scratched and punctured from behind and needs major repair.
6. The standing fan was completely squished and abruptly dismantled and now it cannot be fixed.
7. The wires of the floor lamp was cut to ensure that the stand fits in the box and is now completely unusable.
8. Both my chandeliers are broken into pieces.
9. It's 45 days now and they want to compensate me with a measly $200. I spend nearly $800 on shipping alone. Even that is not confirmed.

Shipped 15 packages of household effects to Mumbai from Dubai. The shipment arrived after 3 months.
Shipment has been very badly managed. A lot of damages.
I had send a cargo two and half months ago from abudhabi. They said because of clearance prblems it will take 3 weeks. Now its almost three months but no sign of it. If I call their office they say customs problems and asks me to wait for a week. When i call again they repeat the same excuse. Its as if I have lost my stuff. Their attitude is very irresponsible and they should not be allowed to continue cargo delivery service.
i used al badr cargo for shipping my good, only household stuff from shj to cochin, first the goods arrived after 1 month (i used air not sea cargo) that also after constant follow-up to their shj and indian offices. finally when the goods arrive i notice 1 lot of home decor missing...it took them nearly 3 weeks to confirm its missing...the items were big chinese fan ...when i talk to their personnel...when i was fumed and upset with them, he says they dont care for an item of 10dhs...he will pay for the cost of the item but for the weight only what he feels he will pay if not he asked me to go and complain...i think whenever they check the weight, we must all put it down properly with proper description...all these people are all terrible...im still fighting for my claim...donno when it will end...

I tried to go legally but I couldnt make any proof of mishandling. I have been to Ruby cargo warehouse, which cannot be named ' warehouse'. it is a waste dumpyard. I am now trying to make it noticed to the dubai economics.

missing lost consignment
I lived around 25 years in UAE and whole my stuff was send through Ruby Cargo. There were 25 pcs send and not a single pc reached home safe. I got only 20 pcs. 5 pcs lost. This can happen on transit but the Company officials were so rude on their behaviour. One Mr. Shyam, Pradeep etc. were least bothered and they are challenging me to complain if I dare to do so. I talked to one Mr. Babu who was so rude on his behaviour. At last, I found out the owner of the who never picks up his phone. After longs hours of trying, I got him. His name was Mr. Raghu and he told he is busy with some other business he has and not takin care of ruby cargo. So, one thing is sure, RUBY CARGO IS NOT THE RIGHT OPTION.

I am the last victim by Ruby cargo. I was relocating to UK and ruby cargo sent all my stuffs to UK. After a long chase its reached here in UK but the local agent asked me to pay 565 pound extra for delivery and 180 for the transport. Ruby cargo said they will refund the money but it never happened. Its an internal agreement between ruby cargo and the local agent in other countries. Of course you will pay if you don't get your stuffs on time. Thats the idea of ruby cargo. I must say this is the worst service i ever seen. I made a complaint to consumer care(consumerrights.dubaided.gov.ae) in Dubai but they are worse than Ruby cargo. They replied me "someone" will contact me soon. Its has been 4 months now and that "someone" is not appeared yet. Guys, Don't ever go with this company. They are a group of IDIOTS and squeeze your money.

yes the information which is given by the customer is correct as I am in UAE since last 7 years this is my second time I send my cargo with ruby cargo., my first consignment reached late and the all things where shattered people who brought the consignment just left on the building door and left, but second experience is worst it is almost two and the half month, and things are not reached yet every time they give same excuses and even cut the line by giving number of main office to contact, in my opinion Ruby cargo is not trust worthy.

i was send a product via ruby cargo in 19/09/2012 but still upto today not delivered that, i hav call to ruby cargo office(abu dhabi) many times but reply are all times same that 4-5 days delivered ur product. now the time of 100 days i think its enough to delivered a product ABU DHABI TO INDIA...AT LAST I THINK WE ALL HAV GO TO CONSUMER COURT.!
