Buyers BEWARE of this breeder.
Smooth talker but my 3 year old has severe displaysia & serious skin issues. Check the internet and forms you will find same problems with others that have purchased from her. My dog is on pain meds and not doing well. When I informed Lori, she didnt even apologize instead she got defensive. She even lied & tried to blame this on me by saying I walked 4 miles with her when she was a pup. (NOT TRUE). She breeds with NO break between litters. Didnt know any of this until after I got mine from her & I had searched for over a year for a good breeder - thought I found one - NOT!. I will continue to inform people of this unethical breeder. My girl is smart as a whip, & I've spent thousands on training, trained perfect & in protection, Beautiful but... now her hips are so bad & the expense the meds & vet bills are high. I will end up putting her down well before her time due to this. Is this a chance that you are willing to take? Just save yourself the heartache & look elsewhere. Lori now avoids me but I was appauled that she was instantly defensive and in a hurry to take any blame off herself. -. I am posting this so no one else has to go through this. BAD BAD BREEDER! The mother has been removed from the german shepherd database. Hmmmmm...

I have personally visited this breeders kennel a few weeks ago and would have to say that their dogs were well taken care of. And in addition, from studies it has been shown that hereditary hip dysplasia is under debate according to WikiPedia. There's many other ways to develop this problem. Anyway, I really like their dogs and understand that their breeding stock is all OFA certified.

I also purchased a dog from them. My dog has severe skin issues and I have to shave him. They changed there name to alpine German shepherds. She also took forever to send his AKC then told me his mother was some other dog that I haven't herd of before and told me it was my mistake.

I purchased a 10 wk old GSD pup last March (2013). We met Lori in Moses Lake (halfway point) and because we met in a public place she would not let us put any of the 3 pups on the ground to run around because of potential germs. That might have been the reason but we noticed our female had very wobbly hips as soon as Lori drove off with our money and we could put the pup on the ground. We thought it might just be normal puppy movement. When it did not improve in a few weeks, we called Lori and told her the problem. She said it was just because she was a puppy and we should give her supplements. By 5 months old we had her x-rayed and she has severe bilateral hip dysphasia. One hip is not even seated in the socket. I called her and Lori said it was because the Vet did not anethitise the dog. About a moth later I sent Lori a letter asking for a refund. I did finally receive the hip certificates from the parents but when I got the documents in the mail (after I bought the dog) I noticed that the date the father was certified was after the pup was born. Not too useful or honest. I noted in the letter that I did not want a replacement pup because I did not trust her breeding. It has been several months and I never received any reply from Lori. The dog is sweet and smart but can barely walk. She will probably have to be put down soon. We have her on pain meds. If she plays much, she limps so badly, we have to increase the dose, after which she just sleeps. The quantity of pain meds she needs cannot be good for the rest of her body systems. We love this dog dearly and losing her to this disease is far worse than the loss of $1200 cost plus training costs, plus all the vet bills.
The AKC should refuse to register her dogs. I will pass me concerns along to the local vets in her town but I would really like to save any other dog lover from suffering the pain of losing a well loved GSD pet, for whom ther are so many happy expectations.

We purchased our dog Gina from Lori in 2009. The puppy was healthy at the moment of pick up, the only concern I had that she didn't give any health guarantee as she promised, when my husband picked up the puppy. I was very upset, because that time we paid $1500 for the full breeding rights. Our dog ended up having Fair hips, not good result.
Her kennels are clean, and dogs are in good shape.
If I would rate her business practice - 2, 5 out of 5.
I am breeder myself, and think that integrity plays the huge role when you deal with clients.
