My computer desktop window frozen on 5/2/22 with a message not to shut your computer down but call the number on the screen I did and was informed that my computer was subject to trojan viruses and the individual went into my computer to show me. I was informed that if I shut my computer down that it would be locked out and would cost thousands of dollars to get it back up and running. The person offered to clean up my computer and get it safely running for $599.00 only to discover know that this was a scam.
The company was Select Kart. LLC. Do I have any recourse?

YES, report it to your local Police Department. They will most likely tell you that this happens all the time, blah blah and not much they can do. Which in fact they can it just takes a little bit of work.
