I purchased a CSW3910 Sentry Safe from Costco over 2 years ago and the handle broke last week. The handle broke because I forced it hard when the safe was locked. I contacted Sentry thinking they would not or could not help me, but to my surprise they not only still made the safe they sent out a replacement handle with instructions without any charge. No charge for shipping or the cost of the handle. It's too bad that all companies don't have this kind of customer service. Great customer service and keep up the good work...
I am so pleased with Sentry safe's customer service! A very pleasant man explained how to open our safe after the handle broke off. I know that the handle is meant to snap off if someone is trying to force it open. Someone in our family didn't realize this. The customer service rep. took my name, phone #, serial #, model #, and address. He is sending me, at no cost, the spindle and parts with instructions. We spoke briefly about jobs and the economy since we are from different parts of the U.S. He said Sentry is going to expand, train and make more safes for jobs in this country (in the N.Y. area.) Good for them!
This was the second safe we bought, they both broke the same way.I reported it within the 90 days but wasnt able to get it to the store. Now they wont let me return it.I don't understand?uugggghhh! They say to report it within 90 days that was what was done! So now I'm just out of 2 safes! This is not fair to us as consumers, we follow the guidelines and still they don't hold up to their end of the deal. I tried to even call the people that make the safe and of coarse i got no where with them either!
