I would never recommend Sheracoons to anyone. Absolutely disappointed and heartbroken over Sheracoons. The owner, Lisa Baron, is disorganized and does not understand contractual obligations. I do not believe she had any intention of following through with our contract or selling us a kitten despite taking our money. My husband and I applied for and were accepted to adopt a very specific kitten. We had searched for years for the right kitten. We had our hearts set on this kitten, had a name picked out, and got everything ready for him. We sent in the deposit, exchanged multiple emails, arranged a pick up date, and Lisa even changed the status of the kitten online from available to reserved after getting our money. About two weeks from the pick up date she emails to say there’s been a “mistake” and that she sold the kitten to someone else with the same name, even though we sent the deposit via Venmo under my husband’s name and she confirmed receipt of the deposit. None of her stories about how the mixup occurred made any sense. At first she said it was an “email grouping issue” (we exchanged emails through gmail and I’ve never heard of a grouping issue) and when asked follow up questions she said it was due to a “computer crash.” The entire situation screamed “this is in bad faith” and “scam.” Nobody should waste their time and money on her lies.

We’re sorry you feel this way, an honest mistake was made. I offered an alternative. You refused. Your deposit money was refunded.

I had a great experience with Shera Coons. I bought my kitten Cat-Trina last May and she is the sweetest! Cat was healthy and well socialized and if I had questions, she was willing to answer them for me. Overall, great experience.

I had zaeo issue with Shera Coons. The process was straightforward. I put a deposit down. Picked kitty. Waited for kitty to be ready. Picked up kitty wirh health certificate. Absolutely a pretty easy process.

I will say that annoting thing aith grouping is real so I could easily see a mixup happening. She gave the above reviewer notice, and that person got her money back. I fail to see the “scam”?

I would do business again.

I had a great time with my Kitten purchase. I got a face time session for. q and a. I confirmed my kitten. Sent deposit. Then I got photos about every 2 weeks until p/u time. Picked up and inspected kitty and was satisfied with her and also received a medical certificate. She has been a great cat. I got her spayed and sent Confirmation to SheraCoons and she asked if I had questions and I didn’t so it was cool but it was NICE to know even this many months later, she is still willing to help me. I would definitely recommend!

I would never buy a cat from Sheracoon cattery. I first got a Main coon cat from Lisa Baron & he was so deathly ill. He had giardia! I have had cats my whole life & my family business was supplying vets with all there pharmaceutical needs. I have never had a cat with Giardia. I have probably had at least 20 cats in my time. It has taken me one year to get his gut right. I spent over $2,000 at my vet clinic. This poor cat [censored] all over himself on a daily basis for a year. The smell of his poop was horrible. I finally got him straight by only feeding him EN or boiled chicken. Then my sister ended up buying another Main Coon kitten from Lisa Baron. I think she just wanted a kitten so bad. Well this new kitten,Simone, is so so sick. With guess what? Guirdea! We have had been trying to get his gut right. Simone’s diahrea is so bad & he can’t gain weight. Again, been back to vet to spend $1,500 so far. Lisa’s cattery is filled with Giardia. It’s a parasite & it’s very contagious. It’s just horrible. Susan

I have attempted several times to contact both you and your sister, unsuccessfully. Your sister purchased her kitten from me a year ago and your kitten was purchased over 2 years ago. I was told by your sister everything checked out perfectly at the vets and he had no health issues, including negative for parasites. This comment is absolutely untrue as I do not have giardia in my home and I am showing proof of a pcr test I just ran showing no parasites. Your sister had rescued a bunch of kittens and exposure to what they may have had is unknown but I can tell you that the giardia was not from my home and please stop slandering my name and giving out false information. Thank you very much

I believe you, cause the same thing is happening to me right now, I have two separate cats from her and each of them have a different parasite. Unfortunately, I didn’t know as much as I thought I knew about cats before I purchased them from her. I should have realized there was an issue and gone with a different breeder. She’s completely unethical, she even asked me not to test my second cat for parasites because she claimed she did the test. When I asked her for the results, she kept sending me results from different cats, not the one that I got from her. They also have feline herpes, and currently both of them have an upper respiratory infection. She is a . When I asked her for the results, she kept sending me results from different cats, not the one that I got from her. They also have feline herpes, and currently both of them have a upper respiratory infection. She is a horrible person, she claims to love her cats, but meanwhile, she is breathing cats that have Disease, the entire place must be infested because I’m seeing other reviews like this and I am too for two now with parasites from her. She does not care about the well-being of these cats clearly, I’m absolutely devastated, she wanted to give me all this advice, but she’s constantly confused, she’s an uneducated country bumpkin. I feel so horrible, these kittens are suffering because of her, she has to know if she has other cats that have parasites, why continue to keep breathing in an environment when you know you are creating more and more disease. I am so upset for my kittens, they have diarrhea, sometimes they throw up they are sneezing and coughing, and she continuously tries to gaslight me or lie about the situation. I don’t know how delusional or stupid she is that she thinks that I would believe her and I have plenty of screenshots with all the ridiculous things that she says. Even her Vet‘s office sound alarmed when I called them to confirm that the kittens received their shots. Apparently Lisa is the one who gives the shots and then she has the vets office sign off on the paperwork, the vets office could not even tell me if it was valid paperwork. I think the entire place should be shut down, she’s not careful. She even gave me the wrong cat second time and I accepted it, I have text messages showing all this information and then when I called her out on it, she said that it seems like I’m unhappy with the cats. The audacity, the nerve she has to make it sound like I don’t want the cats, I care for these cats a lot more than she ever has. I’m at the vet every week now because of her and her negligence.

Pardon the typos, using speech to text. Should say breeding not breathing and two for two, meaning I received two kittens with parasites.

This person purchased a kitten from me back in May of last year and was so satisfied she came back for a second kitten several months later. We exchanged texts on an almost weekly basis in regards to the kittens and how they were doing, updates and pictures. All of my kittens are seen by my licensed veterinarian before they leave for a health check and I have a fecal test run to show kittens are free of parasites which was provided to this buyer via email. She waited 6 weeks before contacting me to tell me she never received the email for the negative parasites for the second kitten and told me the kitten tested positive for giardia. It took 6 weeks for this to surface and it did not come from my home. I would never advise a buyer not to test for parasites or any test as that’s giving medical advice and that’s not my place to do so. She has every right to have her kitten tested and I presumed she would actually be doing so even though I had the litter tested. I resent a copy of the litters negative fecal as well as other recent negative testing I had done. I routinely screen my cats to ensure we don’t have parasites as this is very important to me. As a courtesy, I offered to pay for the Giardia treatment for her kitten. She initially declined but then accepted. Two weeks later, 8 weeks after her second kitten went home, she came to me telling me that the second kitten was sneezing and had been since day one of coming home. I asked her for veterinary records so I could discuss with my vet. She refused to provide them. She cited feline herpes and respiratory illnesses. These viruses have incubation periods of less than 10 days so there is absolutely no way they could have come from my cattery. I offered to take back the kittens and refund her and have my vet treat the kittens. Again she refused. Incubation period for any viruses is 7-10 days. Her kittens left 8 months ago and 2 months ago. Per my contract she had 72 hrs in which to notify me that something was wrong and she did not. I got texts showing how happy they were and how well they were adjusting. Now things have suddenly changed? I’m sorry she seems unhappy and I will take my kittens back gladly and refund her because I want to ensure they are okay. My first priority is to my kittens and their well being. If you goggle her name you will see she has left other one star negative reviews for businesses as well.
