I went to Sleep Doctor in Jackson, Mi. I told them I needed a firm mattress. I showed them the one I picked out. I was asked if I was a sied or back sleeper and was shown another bed"with the same firmness but supported a side sleeper better per Doctors, Chiros etc. So I asked what if it wasn't comfortable after sleeping on it for more than just 5 minutes in the store. I was assured they take care of their customers. After a couple of nights on the bed I was having neck and back pain. The bed felt just like the old bed of 12 years I was getting rid of. I thought I would give it a few more days--maybe my body needed to adjust to a new bed. A few days later, I woke up and was in terrible pain. My whole spine hurt. It was so bad I was one and a half hours late for work. I have been given the run around and told I could pick out another mattress and pay the difference plus a $200 handling fee. I decided to write the Better Business Bureau, file with the Attorney General, and put an article in the Jackson Citizen Patriot newspaper to warn the people of Jackson. On TV they advertise "A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP-GUARANTEED! Don't believe it!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I had a similar experience in the Lansing Store .. They lied to me about the firmness. When i confronted them they wanted 300 for a soft mattress ... A rip off!
