I saw a commercial online which featured Paul McCartney making the claim that he was growing hemp on his farm and marketing CBD gummies. He goes on to say that he obviously is not in need of money, so the only other reason that he would do this is that "It works". He then details the benefits, which go on, and on, and on. The only reason that I would have fallen for it was that it was Paul McCartney. Sir Paul is the last person that you would think of as endorsing any company, especially one that was not totally legitimate. Of course, you trust him. The other thing that gave me pause was that you could not pay with Paypal. I just don't give out my credit card information anymore. But this was Paul McCartney, after all! I ordered the gummies and the bill was $199.88. The order confirmation contains this statement: The charge will appear on your billing statement as "K8*CBMRCH8883506781".
Well, when they finally arrived, the Gummies just tasted like Gummies, and even though it was Sir Paul, I began to search the internet for the legitimacy of this company. The first thing that popped up was from Snopes.

Then nearly the same story on "Head Topics". Now I was really feeling foolish, so I looked for their site, which is under the name Spectrum. They have a comforting message:

Customer Service is non-existent. The number they provide says "Messaging is full".
I thought I must just accept the loss of $200 and chalk it up to gullibility. Then I began to wonder if this Spectrum Company would be so bold as to charge my account again (since they had my card number), so I started nosing around. First I came across this video:

and then I came across this site.
Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware)
Desired outcome: I would love to have my $199.88 refunded to me. I would love to think that the FTC is taking action against Spectrum Company. I hope that no one else falls prey to this con. ********Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware)
