At the present time both my phone and tv service are awol. I lost my phone went to the spectrum office to get a new one. Only way to get a new phone is if you have a phone! Since I lost my phone and don't have another it is impossible to get a phone with my old number. After I told them I lost my phone they all give me a number to call or tell me I'll receive a text with instructions. Why did none of them hear me say I lost my phone? They will gladly sell me a phone with a new number. The people they hire in their phone stotes are not happy campers and it is reflected in there attitudes towards customers. Guess I'll be getting a new network provider for phone, internet and tv. Spectrum is to big for the unhappy employees to manage.

Ripoff thieves corrupt company
Spectrum is very but very unreliable I am paying for 1gig of high speed and not even getting 500 of high-speed ripping me off of the other half stealing money most everyday day i am out of service that I have to used my T-Mobile Hotspot and my firestick just to watch tv I have this problem for months and they are doing nothing but raising the bill month by month for a unreliable horrible services this is the worst corrupt company ever that i have to deal with but horrible that worlds can not describe how bad unreliable horrible company spectrum is a bunch of thieves
Spectrum Internet and mobile Service
I just canceled by services with Spectrum due to their unfair business practices and lousy customer service. Starting with mobile, we had two lines with them. They were expressive compared to competitors and on top on it, Spectrum would market a cheaper rate to me but when I called them to discuss it, since I was a current customer I could not get the lower rate...WTH! Best part is when the wife died, they still marketed to her and would not take the billing out of her name. I mean who does that!?!
Internet services - horrible, just a terrible service. Drops all the time, Modems are junk, cheap units. They don't so contracts, they do subscriptions...so if you cancel in the middle of the billing cycle, they will bill you for the entire month and WILL NOT change that unfair business practice. basically they provide crap for service, steal from their customers and always try to sell you when you call they up to complain or quit their service(s).
AVOID this company, you will regret dealing with these clowns! They are a minor league business. Total unsympathetic to their paying customers! I went to Visible and cut my rate in half and I am on the Verizon network. I cut internet and went to Centurylink and cut my rate by a third and its better service. Spectrum is a failed business!
Recommendation: AVOID Spectrum at all costs, save yourself the headache!
Delivery issues
I contacted sprectum on March 7, 2024 and started a new service. Asked for installation kit to be delivered on March 15, 2024. Email within one hour said it would be delivered March 8, 2024. Called back with much difficulty and person in sales said they would change delivery date. They did not. Fedex emailed that kit was being delivered on March 8, 2924 to an EMPTY house!
So I have written to spectrum and told them I am not responsible if it is missing!

Customer service
Since Spectrum bought out Time Warner I have been a customer. And I was with Time Warner for 10 years at least. I have tried to be a loyal customer but enough is enough. I was paying $135 for what was supposably premium Internet and Premium channel line up. Slowly about every 3 months the price has been creeping up. It got to about $200 and I tried talking to the managers but little help. Creeped up to $235 and coomplained again . Told them that I was paying more than what they were advertising and they said it was ONLY for New customers only. That doesn't make any sense to leave out the loyal customers. They lowered the price but took away some channels like I would not notice. After a while the price started creeping up again. $240 $245 $249 NOW $272. The discount expired. WTH. That is BS. and now I'm just going to get rid of the cable TV and stick with the Internet only for now.Get a Roku and stream everything. Then find a different provider. Looking into Starlink. If Spectrum treats customers like this I hope they all leave.

Billing
I had a balance of 96 something that was due by the 9th of June. On June 5th I made a payment of my back balance owed (that was allowed) of 45.94. The payment fully went through on the 6th. And was taken out of my bank account. Today, the 7th of June I got a notification from my bank that another payment from spectrum was taken out. So I got on my spectrum app and it stated as follows... thank you for your payment, it is currently being processed. Remaining balance due...0.00
Mind you after my payment that I intentionally made on the 5th there was still a balance due by the 9th. My card nor my bank info is connected in any way shape or form with the app nor am I auto enrolled for my monthly payments. I contacted them thru the app stating what had happened and a gentleman put in a refund order ticket. As my rent is due today and the remaining balance that was due came out of my rent money, ILLEGALLY AND UNAUTHORIZED... I contacted customer support via phone. The lady was very rude and kept talking over me and telling me that basically I'm a liar and it doesn't show the second payment on her end and still shows I have a remaining balance due. I told her (when I was able to actually speak) that I had proof both from the app stating my balance was now down to 0.00 owed and it stated thank you for your payment as well as my bank showing 2 separate transactions taken and completed on the dates of the 5th and the 7th of June. She told me that it's not on them. So not okay. I have already contacted my family lawyer. Will definitely be taking them to small claims. It may not be alot to some people but now there are other hoops I have to try to jump through with my landlord and the fees I can't afford now due to a short amount in rent. Not all landlords are willing to work with people. Truly lost a loyal customer.

So after 30 hours on and off the phone I got someone to switch it the names to match so both accounts said my shop name still seperate accpunts but I got the promo 7 months later tbey took ot away and said they will no reverse and to 4 mo ths of $46 and refuse to give me the promo lr credit my account. Spectrum internet/cell phone service
All of the below experience occured within the last 30 days,
I do not believe I have ever encountered reviews of a company or service rated a one and so negatively. However, I do believe that is the proper overall rating for this company. I have not had any service provided by spectrum except for internet for many years. The only reason I have spectrum internet is that they are the only cable internet service available in my area.
My recent experience was for cell phone service and they were the same old corrupt company I encountered many years back. Their agents will lie and deceive you on a level which I have never experienced. Their agents will lie and deceive you in every way possible way in order to get your money. I recently tried their cell phone service along with an iPhone se. The cell phone was much to small and not compatible with my hands and they agreed to accept return of the phone. I returned the phone and cancelled my cell service with spectrum. They were supposed to provide me a complete refund of my monies. They did not! They attempted to charge my credit card $235 as they stated that they could not resell the phone. They stated that the phone had a smear on the screen which it did not. After discussions with several agents and the last person I spoke with was Dale to which he promised that he would have a higher-level manager return my call within 48 hours who would be Supervisor Rodney or Troy and would call within 48 hours. That was December 22nd and I am still awaiting that call. All of the spectrum/charter employees will lie and attempt to deceive you with the intent of tiring you and stalling until you simply go away. I have contacted my credit card company and they are not allowing charter to charge this scam to my card. I have had numerous problems with the spectrum/charter tv service which is a reminder of my past bad experiences with that deceptive company. Please be advised that spectrum/charter has a sordid past of scamming people back to March 28 2009. The company went public and all of a sudden, the stock began a death spiral which I believe was a planned part of their deceptive business goal. The stock went to zero and the investors lost billions of dollars. I was one of those investors which lost approximately $35,000. They again went public for the second time with the stolen monies. The bottom line is that spectrum/charter stole the investors’ money. I talked with the Security and exchange commission (SEC) and they informed me that unfortunately what spectrum/charter did was shameful but legal. I am advising everyone that spectrum/charter is a corrupt and dishonest company which should be avoided at all costs.

New customer for mobile phone
On 10/31 I called spectrum to inquire about the wifi service, the agent, brittani asked who my cell phone service was with and how much I was paying. I told her and she stated they have better phone plans and went into detail about the service. One of the services she mentioned was up to 500 buy out from the previous carrier. Once we completed everything with thing with mobil and wi-fi, I didn't hear anything from my previous carrier until yesterday 11/29/2023 so I thought everything was taken care of. They sent me an email stating I have an outstand balance of $567.11. I thought spectrum sent the $500.00 to my previous carrier, but that never happened. I call spectrums sale department today and was told they do not give buy outs for mobile phones, only cable tv. I gave them all the information that brittani told me and I was advised sorry, but we do not offer the $500.00 for buy outs for cell phones. I feel like she told me that to get the sale done which I was a downright lie. Now have to pay for a bill, when I could have stayed with my previous carrier and not have these issues. This is poor customer service, and false advisertiment. They should honor what their rep brittani told me!

Charter 500mbps internet
Since getting this service almost two years ago and have not yet to get even close to 500mbps throughout my time paying 200 a month. The employees within the office close to me has been throttling hacking and allowing my info to be stolen. Ive had multiple calls into the office and have yet to get any truth from those who have been hired to make sure customers are not being taken advantage of with much illegal activity happening. They still have my phone number which that account has been closed for over six years. Its about time the law steps in and does an audit of their networks which seem to be easily hacked as well. Im not the only one who has seen how corrupt this company seems to be now.The photo below was taken since i talked to an agent but before that my speeds were like 2mbps for a very long time.

We contacted spectrum to cut our cable service , because our bill for cable, internet, and 1 landline was over a month and we got talked into a streaming service around 8/30/23 kept us on the phone for almost 3hrs. and got talked into a bundle to keep us with spectrum cut or tv service off that night telling us we could go thru our smart tv and download the spectrum app did'nt work found out again after another hour and a half that we had to go buy Roku devices to get tv services and said a free phone came with the bundle told the customer service we don't want another cell phone cause we have had t-mobile for over16yrs but they sent phone and we are now being charged for the phone have called them repeatedly for the past month getting transfered to the wrong dept. over and over finally got sent some kind of QR code to scan and return phone to fedex went to 3 different fedex drop-off stores where they were supposed to be able to scan code and return phone now after all this they say we can't send phone back that we never asked for in the first place cause the time to return phone has run out this was a scam to begin with please help I'm disabled since 2005 and I cannot afford this when I get my disability check ! We are seniors I'm 65yrs old and have no idea how to scan a QR code or anything with tech stuff and I told them to just send us a return label in the mail 3x's and they told me they can't do that anymore this is awful to do to people that do not know how to use all these new tech gadgets ! My name is Carol Brady, Monday, September 25, Steven Henderson and a female trainee, came to my apartment (925 East Wells, Apt. 919) to replace a DTA with a new cable box. My appointment was scheduled between 10-11 a.m. They were only several minutes late because I was told by the trainee they were in the building making another call. It was almost after 1:00 p.m. when they left.
My problem, they did not put booties over their shoes and really dirtied my off-white carpet. I brought it to their attention and they acknowledged they should have covered their shoes.
I took pictures of the stains for Stanely Steemer. They gave me an estimate of $172.00.
I would like to know if I can be reimbursed to clean up their mess.

My son who passed away suddenly in another state and tried telling that I have no way to retrieve his phone and asked that the remainder of the balance of his phone be removed from my account. They said that the only way they would write it off is if I was the one who was dead. In addition, I had a free line, which was then deleted from my account without my permission. When I said I wanted it back for legal reasons, they decided to charge me for it. So now I'm paying for a telephone line and phone for my deceased son. I'm not sure how much worse they people could be.
Desired outcome: wipe out the debt of the iphone that I've been calling you about since May and remove the new charges and give me my free line back.
Spectrum Store in Monterey Park, CA
I went in to return the cable box and remote control after deciding to cancel my cable service. I arrived and immediately signed in to enter the queue. Once I signed in, I saw that I was 5th in line. I sat and waited while I moved up to 4th then 3rd in line. All of a sudden, I received a message that I had left the line when I had not. I signed back in by entering my name and reason for the visit. When I didn't see my position in line, I signed in again. I went up to an employee who wasn't busy with a customer and explained what happened to me. He told me to check the large screen on the wall and now I was 6th and 8th in line! I saw customers being called up to be served, but my position in line had not moved. I went up to another employee and he stated that there was nothing he could do and to sit down and wait my turn. I wasn't trying to cut in line in front of the customers who were there before me, but I should've been placed in line where I was before being kicked out of my place in line. No one seemed to care if their intake system was working or not. They just blindly take the customers as they come. I ended up leaving in frustration. I found another store in Pico Rivera, CA and returned the equipment without any problems. I hope I never have to return to this store again!
Desired outcome: I don't plan on remaining a Spectrum customer for very long. I'm down to only internet service, once I find another internet provider, I will be done with Spectrum.
Cancel TV subscription
Wait until you try to cancel any service to see how rude and obnoxious customer service is. First you get put on hold for almost an hour. Then you are subjected to a sales pitch to keep the service and upgrade any other service you have with them. It should not be a bad experience like this to just cancel something. Now I want to look into a different provider altogether.
Desired outcome: Stop with the pressure and torture of stopping a service.
Spectrum tv
I don't understand why you can upgrade by the touch of a button.but have so much trouble downgrading or cancelling.i had this trouble with spectrum a couple years ago now my wife having the same issues you are on the phone for hours and accomplish nothing when you finally get to talk to them.they try to convince you to stay.if not you get put on hold or transferred eventually to get hung up on becomes a repeated cycle.tilnyou get very angry.i myself told them I wanted to cancel and they would up sending me an upgraded modem I didn't ask for and was then billed for that after spending days on the phone with them when I cancelled believe me it costed.my personal opinion is this is a very corrupt business

New customer
New installation in July/August so as soon as we could get it set up we called, they scheduled an appointment then it was cancelled because the outside needed to be finished like I told the lady on the phone but she wouldn't listen she was just worried about pushing their cell phone plan that I DONT want NOW I have no internet cable was cut from the pole because the guy that installed the fiber line just laid it across my driveway down the yard to my house. The people were supposed to come and bury it never showed up or called. I came home yesterday I have home and the internet was cut and 20 feet of cord is missing

Spectrum speed discrepancies between customers with same package.
My reliability have been good, but I very disappointed in the management of a new feature roll out.
I was trying to get my Internet Ultra (500 down/20 up) moved over to the new Internet Ultra Symmetrical (500 down/500 up) that is the same price I am currently paying.
I was told that package was ONLY available to new customers.
Existing customers cannot get symmetrical internet at this time. Are you kidding me?
I'm paying for inferior service to what a new customer is getting. When will my service be moved to the 500/500 speeds? This is very poor planning and customer service on Spectrum's part.
File a complaint to the FCC they got in trouble for this problem before.
Streaming video
When a person has the TV channel on CBS News(IP-123) the internet does NOT buffer, yet, when a person has the TV on LiveNOW from Fox(IP-123) or NewsMax TV(IP-124) all it does it buffer. So disappointed that even Spectrum only values the lefts way of life. Can't image any other reason other then it is intentional on Spectrums end. Happens constantly, today is 08/08/2023. Imagine, right now it isn't buffering but there is no sound

same thing happens using a cable box ch 41 fox news buffers or freezes/tiles or digitizes but you can bet cnn and msnbc will ch 40 and 42 will be playing pefectly everytime and they do.Funny thing its not the left wingers that pay their bills .
Internet service
I called Spectrum to cancel my services on the 30th of July, but to my surprise, my services were cut off on the 29th at approximately 6:08 p.m. The customer service department failed to tell me that it would be cut off prior to that because of the new billing cycle, even though in the notes it says the 31st. They do not charge prorated charges or anything like that, as I was told in the beginning and on the last phone call. My concern is the lack of communication. You should always be upfront and tell the customer, Hey, these services, sir or ma'am, will be cut off prior to the date, and they never did. For a company that prides itself on communication and working with people I see otherwise in the future, please notify customers prior; it goes a long way. communication! I would have made other plans if I could not have done that through my cell phone provider.
Desired outcome: Communications letting them know prior before the long list of rules or obligations.
Cable tv signup issues
I got a card in the mail advertising Spectrum's Choice TV service. I called the number to sign up. I was transferred to three different reps, all of whom pressured me to sign up for more services. I spent almost a full hour on the phone with these representatives. No matter how much I repeated that I only wanted the Choice TV service, they all continually pressured me to sign up for other services. I finally just hung up on the last rep.
Two days later, I received a large shipment of five different pieces of equipment, including instructions to install the Spectrum App for assistance with installation. I also received an email telling me to install the equipment. All these devices were far, far more than I wanted or needed. I packed it all back up, and had to spend a lot more time creating a FedEx account to print a return label.
I went to the Spectrum website to cancel my order but found *no* information regarding canceling an order. There is also no way to file a complaint on their site. You have to call them.
I returned the shipment the next day and called Spectrum to cancel any and all of my orders. I was put on hold for 15 minutes, then transferred to two more representatives. Both tried to pressure me to sign up for multiple services. I had to repeat, *many times*, that all I wanted was to cancel my order(s). Finally, after about a half an hour, I was able to get them to acknowledge my cancellation. I was told I'd be emailed a confirmation, but I never received such an email.
This all proved to be an immensely frustrating, time-wasting nightmare. I will never again try to sign up for anything with Spectrum.
Desired outcome: A full apology would be nice, but I won't hold my breath.
buy out
Spectrum is a fraud. I called to get service and they explained that currently they do not have any services available in my area but they would like to have services in my area. So they asked if it was okay to would like to send someone to do a survey on my property. Once the survey returned they said they can proceed with construction and needed my permission. I stated yes because they promised they would buy me out from my current contract with Xfinity to then be able to switch over to them. When the construction was completed. I called Spectrum to start my services and asked about my buy-out.
I wanted to make sure they would pay my termination fee with Xfinity. The representative stated that he apologies but that I do not qualify for a buy-out.
Desired outcome: For Spectrum to pay for my termination fee as promised.
