On August 19th I ordered a Mask from SPFX. I called prior to ordering to assure it would be delivered in time for Halloween. On Sept 22nd I called and was unable to get through so I e-mailed to get an estimated ship date. I was e-mailed the expected ship date was 10-10-10.

I did not receive the Mask. I e-mailed them again on 10-20-10, 10-21-10, and received an e-mail that it was being send Fed Ex over night on 10-26-10 and I would have it on 10-27-10. I e-mailed again on 10-28-10 to inform them that I have not received it and they did not respond. I called and they told me it was shipping that day and I would have it no later than 10-29-10. I asked every time I called or e-mailed for a tracking number and was told that they could not provide one because they were hard at work getting all of the orders out on time.

I have called several times and only get a message stating to e-mail or call another number. The e-mails are not being answered any longer. The other number is never answered as well.

Hi,

Spfx rusty is a bad person.

I paid for the player mask along with eye brows, sent the mask with no eye brows and I paid for this extra.
Spfx wont answer any emails and also wont answer the calles too. I have complained to the credit card company now and they will be talking up this case.

Rusty will promise you the earth and has staff who works at this place too matt and john. such a bad service from these guys, take the money and dont get the service, full of bull #.

This listing on here is just exposing them to be a bad company and its just not far what they do to people.

I have contacted my credit card company and they are now having to do a charge back to have the money put back on my card, do buy from spfx they promise you the world and dont even answer calls or e mails once they got your money

Rusty in time all these complaints will be seen and you know doubt will change your company name again like you have done in the past, bad man not honest and hope you will be expossed for the real person you are.

If you have a look on the fxmasks.com forum, there are loads of people who have been waiting for their masks since nov 2010 and still waiting. these guys are shelling out $1000 a time just to be promised that their mask will be shipped out as they have hired a top team of artists who are working flat out to get rid of all the back orders. I dont think so!

Rusty seems a nice guy but something is not right here and im sure in a couple of months we are going to find out why.

I was going to buy from spfx but decided to go with cfx as all the comments are positive.

Rusty slusser is going out of business if this continues.

My friend bought a mask from spfx two years ago, and is still waiting! every time he politely emailed them, their reply was short and totally lacked any kind of empathy towards him. it is obvious that they are scamming so many people, and nothing is being done about it. I have been wanting to buy a mask for him and for myself, but now I do not trust anyone and this makes me distrust the other websites too. hopefully, instead of spfx gaining money out of this, they will, in time, lose money as a result of their idiocy.

Hello, this is SPFX masks now owned by Hollywood Mask Masters since May 19. 2014. We are sorry you had a bad experience with the old company as did many other people. We would like you to know as of the date above we have delivered every single mask on time and as promised. We put everything in writing and our quality has never been better. We receive over 300 emails a day and the same in phone calls and we answer everyone.
We have delivered every Halloween mask that was promised on time since May 19, 2014. You can see that we have no complaints since we took over and want to know if you would find it in your heart to remove this bad comment because it is not us. Also, Rusty has passed away and had no contact or part of the new company in any way. Please contact us at info@hollywoodmaskmasters.com because we feel this is hurting the non-profit we work with that supplies free medical prosthetics to wounded veterans and women and children who have become victims of acid attacks. Also, please note that when we took over the company in May of 2014 there were 116 people that were still owed masks that paid but the company had no money, materials, etc. We paid for and delivered every order out of our own pockets to insure no one was ripped off. The owner is a scam artist. Ordered a mask with a promise of 4-6 weeks and have been told every story in the book...

They will tell you they handle Everything over email. But they don’t respond.

They will try to assign you to someone in order to “... walk you through the whole experience...”. That wasn’t done.

They told me stories like employees were in comas or just had family deaths. While I could be sympathetic, my $1500 was at stake and I kept hearing the lies week to week.

They also said that their computer system related to banking and finance was down and they could not look up any purchases.

Today I called and they told me to just go to the bank in order to get my own refund. Said they don’t want to be yelled at.

Don’t get swindled.

They are very unstable and sounds like to me they must be using the money for some other type of illicit activity to believe that I don’t have the right to ask where my product is for money spent.

It's so sad to hear this! Rusty was always a pleasure to talk with and a great guy, I find it hard to believe that anything could turn into what I am hearing in the comments. I received my mask to NZ, even though I remember putting an incorrect delivery address. My Mods were also very kind and very helpful! I miss the forum and I miss the SPFX Masks community... I googled it about 10 minutes ago and found nothing but this in the searches. It does not sound like the OG makers at all and can only suggest that someone else was impersonating Rusty & the team. Love to all, Lex.
