They have lied and have not taken any responsibility for their bad service. "The consumer is always wrong"
I had a TERRIBLE experience with Stanley Steemer. Before I moved in to my new house I was looking for a very good carpet cleaner company and definitely picked the wrong one.
I paid 451.75 dollars for a very bad service and unfinished work. They stole my money.
The fist crew came in to clean my carpet in 5 empty bedrooms, staircase and walking closets. Before they start they promised to clean and disinfect twice, because I have a toddler. They were here for less than 45 minutes. They left leaving my carpet very damp and smelly and the staircase was absolutely dry.
After they left, I called S.S. reporting the short period of time they were working. They told me the machine was working for more than an hour.
After three days the carpet got dry and we moved to the house, when I vacuum the carpet with my Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner (it has water filter), the water was disgusting, shows tons of dust and hair.
I think they didn’t use any product and didn't treat the stains.
A second crew came and attempted to evaluate and clean my carpet again. I show them with my vacuum the dirt the carpet has, but for them the work were done, they offered to re do some rooms, but around the furniture. I asked them to refund me the money for the rooms they don't want to clean, and he got angry and disrespectful, and told me "THE WORK IT'S DONE, I'LL DONT REFOUND THE MONEY"!. I told him "The work never was done when the carpet is still dirty".
After the last visit I reported again to S.S., the receptionist told me the manager will call me back. I'm still waiting.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
You may want to touch up your English before you write another complaint. Doesn't give you a whole lot of credibility when you say "THE WORK IT'S DONE, I'LL DONT REFOUND THE MONEY"!. Hello?
The deodorizer doesn't actually disinfect the carpet. Most odors and bacteria that remain for long periods of time, are in the backing of the carpet or in the pad, and the deodorizer can only get to the surface of the carpet. The technicial obviously used too much water without sucking it up. Also, a different tool is used to clean the stairs, so they probably just didn't clean them because they didn't want to have to get it out of the van. Honestly, from experience, I know that most branches take very little time to train their technicians properly.
Well sir, I think that they should of told you that the point of stanley STEEMER is to steam clean your carpet. The wand has a vacum and solution line hooked to it so when they swipe the wand back and forth its steaming and sucking up more water than dirt. After a few days you will see that the dirt is in the carpet because over the days it setteld in your carpet. but thats a good thing because that obviously means it isnt a stain anymore. they obviously did use to much water, and bypassed the steps but you should of got a 100% refund sir.
Former Stanley Steemer Crew Cheif, Now stanley steemer corporate
Bad service. Might as well came in and turned a
garden hose on my carpet. I had to redo the carpets
myself withy Bissell and they looked better and
cleaner then after Stanley Steamer. I will never have
those rip off artists back out again.
to emitchell365... well, if you truely were a crew cheif and are now corporate, that just proves how poorly the company is run. First off, SS does not Steam carpets. It is a truck mounted, HOT WATER EXTRACTION system. The purpose of the heated cleaning solution is to break down the dirt and release it from the fibers so it can be sucked up. Properly done, the carpets should be DAMP for no more then 24 hours. It's bad enough that the techs cleaning carpets are poorly trained and have little knowledge of what they are actually doing. This could be understandable given the number of Techs out there. But a corporate guy with such little knowledge? Very sad. And a real good reason for people NOT to use the company.
Former SS Lead Tech...now unemployed thanks to people like you
