Came across this complaint thread just now. I am also one of the victims who paid an advance of 8.5 lakhs for a flat in Aluva. Working in Nagaland hence not exactly aware what is happening. Please include me also in all activities you all are planning to ensure we get our money back.

I also a victim of Star Homes.

I have booked the Flat on May 2003 in their Star Annex, Thripunithura. As per the agreement they were supposed to handover the property in Sept 2004. Now it is more than seven years after their committed schedule still waiting for the clearance and handing over the property.

Today I called Star Homes, cochin office and spoke to their employee Ms. Sheeja. As per her statement, the company is virtually closed down and now functioning only for the name sake. They are facing severe financial crisis. But I am not ready to accept it on its face value. Because, the reason they are telling is not able to accept. Due to the financial crisis during the recession period, all their projects had been stopped and it could not re-gain its continuity.

In my case, the building is ready and waiting for the Electricity and Water connection. Ms. sheeja was asking that the buyers have to take the inetiative to get these facilities by paying the money to them from the misc expenses (i.e 46, 000 to be paid as misc expenses in addition to the registration charges). i.e. For Common connection every buyer have to pay Rs. 18, 500. The panel installed is rested now. It has to be painted. for painting we have to pay Rs. 2500, Property Tax Rs. 4500, Interior connection to each flat Rs. 5, 000.00 balance amount to be paid at the time of handing over. Now the question is what is the surety that they will utilise the paid amount to the said expenses. Nothing! It will be an additional loss on account.

As per the information received from various people like you, almost 85% of the customers paid the full amount either as advance or in installment. Where this money has gone. If they invested in the business, almost all the projects could have completed on its schedule. Nobody will be able to accept the delay of 7 years.

All the statements they give us are false and baseless. They have diverted the fund to somewhere else by cheating us. But one thing is sure that the MD Mr. Ajay V George is having hell lot of court cases on his business and now it is become a practice for him to attend the case at court by court.

Even if we file a case against him, we should ensure that is goes inside the bars. But, as you said in your message, he will be using his influences to protect him from such incidents.

I have asked some of my friends and they suggested me to file a case in the consumer court. I think, in Kerala, the consumer forum is little strong. If the consumer forum is unable to solve the issue, as a second stage, we can refer the same to Chief Minister through “Sutharya Keralam”.

In case if you already took some initiative, pls let me know, I also can follow the same or else, we have to think about a new plan.

Until now, no response from them about the money and flat and Mr. Ajay Varghese (managing Director) is missing... staff saying wait for the invested money, I do not have home in Kerala. I am Molly Menon, I had made full payment for 3BHK in watermellon in Kadavanthara.Last when i met Mr.Ajay told they will handover
the Flat June 2012.And gave a cheque dt 15/2/2012 for 4Lcs for the pending rent for the flat .But now i understood that was only
to sent me out of his office.Today i for a message that the cheque got returned due to lack of fund.I called Mr.Davis (Manager)to
ask about the fund, He says Ajay is in police costudy .He said the money will be arranged by 15th of March.

i am also there to support to give this cheat a lesson and get our money back.

I have booked a flat in star county, Aluva and have still not received the flat after payment of Rs, 11.75 lakhs.I would like to know if you have formed any association to retrieve the money.I had received cheques which bounced as expected.Hope star homes gives us our hard earned money back atleast for the fear of god whom they say they have full faith in.It is the same god we too have faith in.
