I am a 44 year old female with around 25 years experience of attending holistic and spiritual events and learning therapies. Recently I attended a Star Magic event in Liverpool on 15 Jan. I attended partly because of needing to heal and partly because I was thinking of joining Star Magic facilitator training and wanted to have a taster.
I am well aware that all healing involves self healing and I committed 100% to the event, paying in the last of my money and travelling 7 hours but I am very disappointed with the service. I am sorry to have to send such negative feedback where the events are so well meaning and the online content and general positivity is generous. There is clearly a lot of effort going in to making it look really good online but, sadly this just did not translate across to the event.

For £777 plus my train fare £62.50 plus accommodation and food I am not impressed with what I received. From the offset there was no address provided I was just told the address is on the website - this was not a nice welcome especially at that price - surely a welcoming email could state the location, but it gave an indication of what was to come.

1. Although the room was big and spacious with a wonderful view and lots of light it was very cold. There was no heater to dry my wet coats and bag even after asking the hotel this was not provided. I was cold throughout the day as were most people I am sure. We are not all as fit as Jerry and people will heal better in comfort. I was not there to do wim hoff exposure as I don’t have the right body type, I’m not asking luxury, just awareness of basic needs.

2. There were no complimentary drinks in the room - even water we had to go downstairs to drink tap water from a jug. Bottled water would be nice.
3. There was no food or drinks offered for people to ground and recover afterwards.
4. No certificate of attendance, free book or anything to take away.

5. No aftercare whatsoever, at the venue or otherwise - not even an email asking how are you or an indication of who to contact. The team are mostly very young. The next day just more and more emails from Jerry about this event, that meditation etc. I just feel he is taking a lot more than he is giving.6.£777 x 55 attendees total of £42,735 minus room hire 1K, minus travel and admin and whatever he paid the healers and helpers, still looking at minimum £35,000 profit for a day most likely more.

7. Sarcastic comments made publicly from Jerry at the beginning such as :'you won’t be able to use the toilet, in fact you will be locked in the room, so you will have to pee yourself, but please don’t wee on the carpet '. - yes he actually said this! IF you have the sensation of needing the toilet, just breathe through it '. This is deeply disrespectful especially of older people pregnant or menopausal women. Eventually he says ok ok you can use the toilet now. We who are on a healing journey don’t need someone on a sado masochistic power trip.

8. Another sarcastic comment about how 2 guys at the last event were just sitting waiting for Jerry to come and heal them, but what does he expect? We don’t mind doing the breathwork, but for nearly £800 I could do a breathwork training online for about £80 and have more 1:1 attention because I feel nearly no difference from what I received and I put in huge effort doing the breathing for the duration where many people were lying on the floor the whole time. No judgement of them, just saying.

9. There was also a comment about the room temperature which we were expected to tolerate, why not just put the heating on? It’s ok to make your clients comfortable. What about some blankets, rugs, cushions, a hot drink or soup at the end?

I also heard from several sources that Jerry and the team were scoffing magic mushrooms throughout the event. So basically they were high and therefore totally irresponsible. Not impressed. Use of psychedelics whilst being responsible for others? And then driving! Many of the team were very young and I doubt had much experience.

The other thing which I found THE most irritating, invasive and unprofessional, and just wrong, we were being filmed the whole time. I did not give permission to be filmed, I did not consent, I was not even asked. Every time I started to drop into a cathartic place such as crying or body twitching, the girl was hovering over me with her phone camera. I put my hands over my face and said stop but she kept doing it. This is a violation and a distraction and you must stop doing it. I have been in many healing groups and I never had this level of unprofessionalism especially at such a high price.

I have emailed support about my lack of consent for the videos and for it not to be shared but this has not as yet, been acknowledged.

Aftercare - non existent , I went into a deeply hypoglycaemic and deeply distressed state and felt truly awful , I could not stand up and was extremely disorientated , luckily 2 of the attendees took care of me but there were no staff for aftercare. Krystyna was totally dismissive when I said I feel horrible she said ‘you will do’ and walked off . Lori said ‘you should go and be alone ‘ , Jerry gave me some oranges and then said ‘ right we need to seriously raise our vibration’ .
I was not prepared for this outcome and next time I will be more equipped (not that I would go to a Star Magic event again)- I was very lucky that these people took care of me as most were rushing home and for flights , trains etc, but it was not their job to do so.
There is no excuse for being so dismissive , they seemed to have plenty of energy to be posing for photos and it is imperative that at least 2 extra people are available for aftercare , support , crises etc . Especially for that fee there should be a chill out , integration and recovery space for people processing trauma with some food and drinks . Maybe pick a venue with a lounge and for £777 you could include a hotel room at that price !

I am very angry at what could have otherwise been a pleasant and exciting experience at least and life changing at most..

Desired outcome: Apology , refund , stop over charging , improve your events , be accountable , join a regulating body , don't use psychedelics while working or driving.

I was at the very same healing event in Liverpool, ran by Jerry Sargeant from Star Magic Healing and his team. I came to this healing event with chronic fibromyalgia and now, it’s gone. I spoke with many during and after the event and everyone loved it. I’ve been an Infinity member at Star Magic for 18 months. The community is amazing.

I find your perspective on this event, Jerry and the team rather bizarre. In fact, I remember who you are. You were the drama queen who was creating a commotion outside of the venue, playing the victim and wanting everyone’s attention.

I find it very sad. You had an opportunity like everyone who attended. You could have put some effort in during the breath work and really worked hard and got good results like me. Instead you chose to be expectant.

I would recommend Star Magjc Healing to everyone. My sister in law had stage 4 cancer and after listening to Jerrys healing meditations, it went away. She is now very healthy indeed.

Star Magic Healing is amazing and Jerry and his team are very caring and hold great space for others to heal.

They are generous with their energy and what they do works.

Dear K Bark,

Thank you for your reply.

It is wonderful that your fibromyalgia and your sister in Law's cancer disappeared. Having suffered with these illnesses I am surprised that you have so little compassion for others who have not been lucky enough to have such great results. You have no way of knowing whether I was expectant, but I was hopeful.

How interesting that you have decided not only that you know who I am, but that you have decided to call me rude names like 'Drama Queen' just because I had a different experience from you.

Your sentence 'creating a commotion outside of the venue, playing the victim and wanting everyone’s attention' is again rude, unkind and full of judgement . I am happy to say that a small number of participants were able to look after me and provide further support long after the event. I cannot agree that asking for something to eat due to low blood sugar and crying quietly with a friend , or requesting someone to walk back with me would be considered causing 'a commotion'. It is unlikely that you were there as most people had left by then anyway. I was definitely not 'wanting everyone's attention' , but did require a small amount of assistance , which is a human right.

For your information , there were others who were not happy with the event, and other complaints were made. and not everyone loved it.

How fascinating that you assume 'You could have put some effort in during the breath work and really worked hard and got good results like me. '

Not only are you showing you think you are somehow better than me, you don't realise that I put in a huge amount of effort doing all the breathing as recommended, as well as travelling a long way.

Constructive criticism is a very normal part of healing and a very necessary part of a sustainable business.

I again reiterate that Star Magic Healing is unethical and unprofessional.

I wish you a lot of happiness.

1. It is concerning to discover that a business is managed by an individual who mistreats others, engages in deceitful and fraudulent practices, and causes psychological harm. This person's sole focus is on financial gain, disregarding the well-being of others.

2. Despite proclaiming to be spiritual, this individual's true nature reveals anger, aggression, and abusive behavior. They are quick to sever ties with anyone who holds a differing opinion and defame their character.

3. Furthermore, this person resorts to making false assertions about their own capabilities, engaging in fraudulent activities to deceive others.

4. Their meditations include subliminal messages to manipulate and deceive individuals into believing in Jerry and giving him unquestioning obedience. They intentionally manipulate their clients, aiming to extract $25000 from each before severing ties.

5. A Facebook group dedicated to supporting individuals with various mental and spiritual health challenges directly caused by Jerry's methods has recently been established.
