Avoid www.starsoundsproductions.com. Owner Steven R Leflar and cohort Eric Lee Symons have stolen money from over 50 musicians in the bay area in the last 6 months. Consumer alert !

They have conned many people. Here is just one example.

Summary of my 2009 unresolved payment due from Steve Leflar

On January 9, 2009 I received a phone call from Eric Symons of North Bay Entertainment (NBE hereafter) to hire my band, Hot House for an event at Korbel Champagne, Guerenville, Ca. on July 11, 2009. On January 10 I received an email and contract from Crystal McLaughlin of NBE confirming all details. I mailed a signed copy of this contract to NBE, 4093 Concord Blvd., Concord, Ca. [protected]. We were to be paid $2000 for our performance. The contract was signed by Steve Leflar, owner of NBE and Star Sounds Productions, also at 4093 Concord Blvd., Concord, Ca.

On July 11 Hot House performed at the wine club Speakeasy/Grapevine Swing event at Korbel. All went well with no problems of any kind.

The post is from Thomas Schoenberger. See him for who he really is at the two websites listed below. He is the only person who has operated without a license or insurance since April 9, 2007 and owes us over $100.000.00

Thomas Schoenberger of North Bay Entertainment approached Steven Leflar of Star Sounds Production in February 2008 to become a partner in North Bay Entertainment.

An agreement was met. The position of Steven Leflar was to organize the company and lower overhead. After a complete analysis of the companies financial situation was determined it was found to be more than $100.000.00 in debt consisting of deposits paid by the clients for future events were already spent prior to the partnership. (Supporting documents can be found at: www.northbaye.net )

The company was moved to Concord CA where a new license was started as agreed by the two owners of North Bay Entertainment. The company had major problems in Napa since it was operating without a business license since April 9, 2007. (Source is from The City of Napa Finance Department.) Thomas Schoenberger had notified the City of Napa that he had moved the company to Rohnert Park when indeed he operated as usual in Napa to avoid paying license fees and taxes. He was already under an audit from 2004 to 2007 at the time. North Bay Entertainment also had a reputation for not paying artists and had been sued on two occasions and lost by 2005. One of the articles you can find at: http://www.napavalleyregister.com/news/articl ... 50456e22fb.html
Thomas Schoenberger didn’t carry any General Liability insurance and would tell clients that would ask for the certificate he was under the Star Sounds umbrella.
We needed to start fresh without all the storm clouds hanging overhead of North Bay Entertainment.

North Bay Entertainment went forward without Thomas or Steven collecting any income from North Bay Entertainment. All of the profit was left in the company to reduce its debt. Thomas Schoenberger Managing Partner of North Bay Entertainment found ways to make money off of North Bay by bypassing normal business operating procedures. He would pick up checks against North Bay contracts and deposit them into his personal North Bay Bank accounts instead of the company account keeping the profits. He would also write his own contracts listing his home address and personal phone numbers.

It was found in November 2008 he was claiming he sold North Bay in February 2008 to people who were owed money. He has continued since with his claim he sold the company without a bill of sale or legal transfer of ownership of any kind. However he continued to do business as North Bay Entertainment Managing Partner.

Thomas Schoenberger then proceeded to defame and slander anybody that didn’t go along with him using Yelp and many other community websites. Thomas also created a website www.starsoundsdjmusic.com posting all kinds of false information and went as far as to copyright as Star Sounds Productions 2009 on the website. He registered it to Star Sounds Productions but listed himself as administrative contact with his email address and contact phone number. The website was taken down by the Star Sounds attorneys. Why would Star Sounds Productions put up a website and then slander itself.

Thomas has been working with Gig Xifaras of Associated Entertainment as a competitor of Star Sounds Productions and to recoup monies owed by Thomas DBA North Bay Entertainment in an effort to damage Star Sounds Productions. They both have made claims against Star Sounds Productions to artists and venues alike that are false but are true about North Bay Entertainment.

Thomas Schoenberger claims he sold North Bay Entertainment in February 2008 to Star Sounds Productions making Steven Leflar responsible for the North Bay Entertainment debt. If it were true then Steven Leflar would also have the assets of North Bay Entertainment and the only bank account under North Bay Entertainment since February 2008. The evidence at this point shows Thomas Schoenberger has deposited over $100, 000.00 into his own bank account for North Bay Entertainment business. His own bank statements dated February 25, 2008 to March 24, 2008 total deposits $33, 162.50 and April 16, 2008 total deposits $45, 837.25. Total $78, 999.75 in just two months. The balance of the bank statements are being subpoenaed. Now we have to add in all the checks written to North Bay Entertainment Concord contracts that he collected and put into his bank account.

Do not work with Eric Symons or Steve Leflar. In my opinion, they are BOTH Rip offs. Court case won against them on March 23rd 2010. Do not hire Star Sounds Productions out of Concord California

Thomas Schoenberger is a good man. Steve Leflar has stalked Thomas. How do I lnow? Steve Leflar stalked me as well, and Thomas's ex wife, and Gig Xiferas and others
Its time we all join in seeing this terrorist Steve Leflar exposed for the lying criminal coward he really is.
I saw him in court several weeks back. He is a creepy evil dangerous man. I am letting everyone of my friends know that this freak better stay out of our valley
Steve Leflar is no friend of Napa valley. He pays no taxes here, he is being investigated by the state and I will be joining in to make sure this man gets shut down and fined.
Stalkers like Steve Leflar are a danger and should be in jail

For all those looking to sue Star Sounds productions, the owner Steve Leflar will be there a bit before one o clock so you can identify his name, take a picture, serve him, expose him etc.The last time he was served, it was at Sam's club and it took a week to catch him. This time, the noose is tightening
We must all work as one to get rid of this man.

Star Sounds is a reputable company. Mr Schoenberger is facing criminal charges for embezzlement and is attacking the current owner, Steve Leflar with ridiculous charges of stalking and various other false things. There are no problems with Star Sounds Productions and they have a huge list of references.

Steven LeFlar aka Steven McArthur, dba STB DJs, aka Simply The Best Entertainment has stolen over $200, 000 from Thomas Scoenberger, Keith Johnson, Eric Martin, Wendy Wiggs, Mike Luna, Allegra Events, Ron Israel, Associated Entertainment Consultants, Angela Takeishi, and several others.

Superior Court of Concord. Case number CSC09-1099

Steve LeFlar (has recently been using the alias 'Steven McArthur') DBA North Bay Entertainment (later changed the name to "Star Sounds Productions", then changed it again to "Simply The Best Entertainment") found GUILTY of non payment of the live band, "Big City Revue" at the Intercontinental Hotel. Booking was made by Eric Symons, at the time working with LeFlar. Contract signed by LeFlar.

Total judgement - $5200.00 awarded to Associated Entertainment (AE hired Big City Revue) Judgement entered on February 10, 2010.

Although still working under the names "Simply The Best Entertainment" and "STB DJs", in the Sacramento and Napa areas, LeFlar has not paid this debt.

Superior Court of Concord. Case number CSC09-1100

Steve LeFlar again found GUILTY of non payment of the live band, "Six and The City" at the Adeszko Wedding at Auberge Du Soleil. Booking was made by Eric Symons, at the time, working with LeFlar. Contract signed by LeFlar.

Total judgement - $3600.00 awarded to Associated Entertainment (AE hired "Six and The City") Judgement entered on February 8, 2010.

Although still working under the names "Simply The Best Entertainment" and "STB DJs", in the Sacramento and Napa areas, LeFlar has not paid this debt either.

===========================================================

In order to hide his identity, LeFlar inserted an ex employee, as the owner of "Simply The Best Entertainment" on paper, and has enterted his girlfriend, Cynthia Gretch, as owner of "STB DJ's" on paper.

The collection agency, George Ballard Company, has been retained to collect this debt. Any information on Steve LeFlar, Steven McArthur (one of LeFlar's aliases) or Cynthia Gretch, Star Sounds Productions, Simply The Best Entertainment or STB DJs, (the relationship between Simply The Best Entertainment and STB DJs is unclear) that would assist in collection this debt should be forwarded to both the George Ballard Company, [protected] ... and Associated Entertainment Consultants (AEC), [protected]

Steve LeFlar aka Steven McArthur is a con artist who bought North Bay Entertainment, formed Styar Sounds Productions, and Simply The Best Entertainment.

He has stolen over $200, 000 from investors and musicians. Google "Steve LeFlar". Everything you see is true.

"Steven's Music", aka Steven Leflar, aka Simply The Best Entertainment, has lost multiple lawsuits and found guilty in Superior Court of ripping off bands, DJ's, and other vendors of over $200, 000.

Leflar would rip off his own mother if he had the cvhance. He keeps changing the name of his compnay to try to hide his criminal reputation: "Steven's Music", "Star Sounds Productions", "North Bay Entertainment", "Simply The Best Entertainment", "STB DJs", "DJ SRL" are ALL the same con man, Steven Leflar. In the past he had used "Steven McArthur" as an alias to hide his identity.

Avoid ALL of the above "businesses", especially "Simply The Best Entertainment" and "Steven's Music" (these 2 have active web sites still up) LeFlar uses 2 friends of his to pose as "owners" of his companies in an effort to hide his affiliation with them. He works most of his scams in the Napa, Sacramento, Elk Grove, Cotati, Sonoma areas, of northern California.

Here is a partial list of people in the music industry that Steven Leflar ripped off:
Michael Halem
David Martin
Gig Xifaras
Thomas Schoenberger
Larry Lynch
Ellen Shea
Ron Israel
Brian Cline
Joe Sharino
Gary Sparks
Kier LaCrosse
Mike Luna
Larry Johnson
Wendy Wiggs
Shiela Groves
Allison Sharino

'Google' Steven Leflar. Then contact any of the above for verification. Stay away from "Steven's Music" and "Simply The Best Entertainment"
