I received an automated call from [protected] saying I won an all inclusive cruise through the bahamas if I answered a short survey. One hour after the survey I get a call from [protected] but I ignored the call. Called [protected] back and they answered as rural cruise reservations or something like that and after a reverse look up of the number it shows the owner is starnet paete. It seems like they've moved past their fake debt collection scam and they are onto a new "all inclusive cruise to the bahamas" prize giveaway scam. Our world would be a much better place without [censored] bags like them.

Never give any identifying information to anyone you do not know. Give them fake names, fake numbers, and tell them to go f*k themselves.

Bill collector. They are fishing. They are using public telephone directories calling people that have bad debt. They are NOT sure if it's you because lots of people have the same name as you. Don't answer, don't call them and whatever you do DONT give them the last 4 of your social. If they ask for the last 4 give them a FAKE 4. Might get rid of them. If they leave you a threatening phone call, ignore it. They are at their last resort and desperate. Just laugh and ignore.

[protected] called today, after a survey call from "unknown" number. The fellow said they were giving away all-inclusive cruises to the Bahamas. The catch: they want to you to pay, on your credit card, money ("port fees" of $59 per person, 2 person minimum") but refuse to send you anything in writing before you purchase.
They claim that the purchaser's bank will receive the audio recording of your conversation with them. (This is a lie.)
They claim that they "just bought" the cruise ship, and their website isn't up yet. They claim that there isn't any website yet, but tell you to "google" Grand Celebration cruise ship and the "first website" is theirs. When you ask them what company they work for, they are very vague. When asked for the phone number of their company, they gave: [protected], which brings up information on BBB website and [redacted] about their scams.
They claim to not have access to email, and that you'll only get an email after you pay them money.
What they're doing: trying to get money from people without proving, in writing, what they're selling.
DO NOT buy ANYTHING from them, and DO NOT buy ANYTHING from ANY company that refuses to send you an email or U.S. mail first, about the offer. Don't buy anything that can't be verified in writing first.

[protected] called me on thursday night. wants to put 4 home windows in for me. I told them no, they said they sill will send someone to my home. i told them its a free world, but i won't open the door or buy anything. I then hung up. a minute later they called back and said 12 pm they will be by. i told them i don't want anything. next day in a 3 hour span i got 15 calls from them. the last number to call [protected] "a contracting company", called and left message. I called back and mr Jeff said they use Nitro to solicit. i asked for contact for them but he refused to give it up. I told him for now when they call me I will call him to complain. He said no problem. It just won't stop. Thank god for the BS "do not call list". 4 of the 15 calls in one day, look at the times.

I have been receiving their calls for several years now. I have tried the "Do NOT CALL" Registry. That works for a couple weeks and it starts all over again. Today I made an amazing revelation. A sales firm for roofs, windows and doors, kitchen remodeling etc etc.. always stop me while exiting BJs Wholesale store. I always say I am not interested in a free estimate. I try to be nice and polite, smile... But they follow you to the exit. So I agreed to get the free estimate this time. Turns out it is Starnet Paete that keeps calling to confirm the appointment. Pretty ticked off now that I know who it is. They may be a marketing firm that is an intermediary for other companies that do all these sales and remodeling; BJs probably gets a percentage. The Roofing company goes by the name "Power". I know nothing about them. They could be excellent, but if they are also Starnet Paete or affiliated with them, I want nothing to do with them. Glad I figured out that Starnet Paete is getting my number via BJs. I like the store and spend a lot of money there. The people there are excellent, friendly and helpful etc... but I have to tell them this Starnet Paete firm needs to stop with the endless calling on my cell and home number. and stop with the harassment as shoppers exit the store. Otherwise I will shop elsewhere. Hope this helps someone else. New Jersey, Morris County.

Female with heavy Indian accent left message...but only part of message that could be understood was the phone number of [protected]. Caller ID lists it as STARNET PAETEC.

STARNET calls me several times per day from a supposed local telephone #. When I returned the call to see whom these people are, it was a non working #. How could they have called me from a # that is "non working"?
