State Farm Ins. review: SF denied a claim

My wife, and I have had SF ins. for over 20yrs. we have only 2 claims over 10yrs. During the month of March, we had severe storms. These destroyed our roof. I had a contractor that said it was damaged due to wind, and hail. I filed a claim with Statefarm which they promptly denied. I received a letter from SF which stated, I wasn't doing enough to protect my property. What do I do, redirect the storms?
