This breeder seems nice, but despite the written contract, fails to provide papers and/or register the puppies with the AKC, as she agreed to do. Sadly, I have given up, as my dog died one night last month. Given that the dog is sold as a purebred for several thousand dollars, I would steer clear of this breeder since she ultimately stops returning telephone calls. All I wanted was my dog's papers...
Our dog, purchased from this breeder sadly died of cancer just before his 5th birthday. We didn't get papers from her either. I tried to contact her to let her know that he got sick, just to make her aware for breeding purposes, but her email address was undeliverable. Stay away!
Boots was born on 11/11/11.
Lola s three and she was born on 7/04 . I forget the year . I will have to look for her papers
How did you know your dog was sick
Jennifer I'm so sorry to hear that you lost a member of your family. We have a girl from Dona Rose. We did get our papers after contacting AKC. Would love to know who the parents where of your boy and the birthdate.
Please feel free to email me peachgymn@cox.net
Melanie
We had the same issue with her . Hoever, we did get the papers.
Boots
Our dog Lulu, died of cancer too. She was all white with a few black patches. We flew out to get her from Colorado. She was born the liter or 2/27/07. She died Jan 17, 2018 So lived just 10 years. Her SIre: Cracker Jax and Dam: Turfs Jazmine. Lulu died quick - she had tumor on her splean. It burst she was dead in under an hour.
I must say- greatest! most gentle! most calm! smart, beautiful dog.
I too had problems getting the papers. After threatening to file a complaint I got them. Madison just turned 8 March 28th. She has a bulging disk (paid for the MRI) and arthritis in her neck. She is active and happy had to get her to be still even at eight. He falls a lot because of the disk issues, but the neurologist said that there was no fix. She is a wonderful dog and super smart I wouldn't trade her for the world. I worry that she won't be able to get around when she is older. And now there are days she is in pain and we give her meds.
Breeder (Dona Rose) emails me about a dog and then never returns my calls or emails. I think she was scamming me for another breeder. I did purchase a previous dog from her and while she is smart and sweet she is way undersized for a PWD about 2 inches short of standard and 10 pounds under the low scale of weight. She also breeds with Mitch Horowitz in Bayville and he is a puppy mill. He has had at least one litter on the ground for the last 3 years and more times than not he has two litters on the ground. That is the definition of puppy mill.
