We listened to 4 window companies describe their products for the replacement of the windows in our home. We learned a great deal from this as each one spent at least an hour in our home. While we liked the Taylors Window sales rep very much, we chose another company based on the product and on the warranty they offered (all of the other companies gave us a copy of their warranty and went over it with us...except Taylors...I was told I could find it on their website). I did find it and compared it with the company we chose. I called the other sales reps and told them we had made a decision and we apprectiated their time with us. The Taylors Window sales rep called my home 5 times, my cell phone that many times, and finally called my husband's cell phone several times while he was at work wanting to know who we chose and why and then began dissing the other company saying we would be sorry we chose them, etc. Then, his boss started calling us. His boss told my husband to come to this site...funny since we had never heard of it-and now I am writing a complaint about them. I did go to this site and found nothing bad about the company we chose.
I understand 'following up', but this is borderline harrassment.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I've gone through 6 demos with various companies here in Columbia, SC. Who did you end up going with?
You made the right decision by choosing someone else, I'm sure you're not nearly as sorry for not choosing them as we are for choosing them. We had Taylors replace our windows in Oct '08--had numerous issues with the workmanship, attitude of workers, and overall quality of the job. I'm still disgusted everytime I look at the work they did. Now I'm battling with them yet again for warranty work because of the faulty product they used on our home. After numerous phone calls from me and none returning from them, I'm ready to take it to the next step. Whatever you do, DO NOT CHOOSE TAYLORS WINDOWS AND SCREENS, INC.
How do they always maintain an A + rating with the Better Business Bureau? Sounds like these posts are written by other window companies that are trying to steer us away. As a political analyst, I have learned how to smell out rats. I'm pretty sure I smell several. None of this adds up. There are no unresolved complaints listed on B B B. Probably because you have to identify yourself and prove that you have done business with the company before they list your complaint. I will update once our windows are installed.
We just used Taylors (january 2012) and could not be happier with the product, installation, customer service, ans price. I got estimates from several companies and since they actually manufacture the windows, the price was half to a third of other companies. This product is VASTLY superior to other products we checked into! As a matter of fact, we will be using them again next year to do the basement/2ns level of our house. We just could not be happier! Check them out and you will not be disappointed!
We installed Taylor's windows 2 years ago and had no problem with them backing their work. I found a flaw in one window and they were out right away to fix it with a new window. Recently, we experienced a terrific hail storm...my neighbors lost their storm windows, etc. I am in the process of cleaning all of mind and checking them...with 3 left to check...the windows are 100 % okay so far. I would recommend them to everybody and have.
Taylor's just installed 19 windows for us and we were very happy with the whole process. Everyone worked hard and they were installed within a few days. What I am not happy with is the screens, they are very thin and not secure at all. They do not secure in place, I have never seen screens like this. They are on a track but do not clip in place and can be lifted from the outside.
Beware of Taylor Windows! In-laws had all windows replaced by Taylors. Salesman recommended a "special" tinted window for dining area that received the afternoon sun. The window on the inside of the house now is hotter to the surface than the 20 year old window that was removed. This window allows all the heat to enter the home. Taylors has avoided their messages and would not return their calls. The warranty is a life time warranty but apparently is NO GOOD. Excuse after excuse. These windows are less than 2 years old.
