I hired Terry Jarvis in October 2011 to plow my driveway for the season between 11/1/11 and 5/1/12. We had our first significant snow fall on 1/13/12. My driveway has yet to be plowed. I've had no success contacting the company at the phone number where I initially arranged for the service. The current voicemail greeting is a female claiming to be his wife apologizing for the inconvenience, stating several trucks are broke down: one simply broke down, another has a brake problem and a third with "something else." The voicemail box has been full since 1/13/12 around 5pm. Mr Jarvis received full payment in Oct 2011. Services have yet to be rendered. This appears to be fraud.
If you have not already done so, I encourage anyone who has been defrauded by this individual/company to submit your complaint to WIVB Channel 4 News. I spoke with a representative from their Call 4 Action Department, as I had emailed them on 1/15, and was advised that they received several complaints and this story may appear on the news by the end of this week. I have printed a form to submit to the Attorney General's office and am meeting with my local police department this evening to see what else can be done.
I have copies of everything and will be dropping it in the mail tomorrow. I will also call to see if I can fax a copy of the "business" card. I also know for certain the Tonawanda Police Department is interested in pursuing the matter. Thank you Doris and Dr. Rosenberg for representing all of us victims. Hopefully the news will continue to cover the story, should there be any updates ;)

If it wasn't for this blog, I would not have known that other people were scammed by Jarvis and yes, it does help to vent! I also want to thank everyone for all of the important information given! It's hard to imagine how a person could rip people off and leave them stranded and trapped... not even bothering to answer calls. Very creepy.
These people might as will be part of the Klan, some of the racial epithets they said the last time I called were absolutely dispicable!
My understanding is that over 105 people have been caught in this nastiness. Yes, it is nice that we have this Complaint Board so we know what others are doing. I assume you have all called the Assistant District Attorney, Brian Dassero at 858-2559 if any of you have not please call first thing Monday morning. 9 AM...The more people they have the better for the case.
How interesting! There is a " Singer" living at 48 Cleveland Dr. That murder case is from 1994 so those boys may be adults now. Wonder if Robert or Jay Hennessy are children of Pam's or her brothers. In 1994 how would Michelle and Pam have the same last name? They could not have been married back then. How old is the Singer case?
Found the answers to my questions. The Singer case is from 1995. In 1994 the boys were 6 to 9 years old and there was a marriage ceremony. Michelle legally changed her name.
UPDATE: I was contacted by a plow manufacturer today and they are putting together a small plow for me. I am going to look at a small truck tomorrow. Hopefully within a week, we have the small truck set up and ready to go so that we can take on more victims of these scammers.
Someone should set something up for the families.
OK everyone, it's official! Boss Plows is donating a brand new plow to WNY Ground Control! I have found the truck I am going to put it on. We will now be able to dedicate a truck to this route. Out of this treachery we get a reputable company. Ryan's generosity was blessed with the donation of a snowplow. I have talked to him several times and he appears to be a good man. Though we were not on the list he came by and plowed the 4 properties the other morning. We have every intention of paying him. We appreciate his kindness.
Correction the name of the plow guy is Ground Control BUT Boss Plow donated the plow blade..and the volunteer is doing the work 3 GOOD GUYS!

Looks like a plea is on the table per ADA Dissaro. Jarvis is supposed to take a plea 3-28-12 to a felony. Maybe I will get to meet some of you.
I received a call from Brian Dissero just now. He also confirmed that Jarvis had pleaded guilty with court date on March 28. He suggested that we do let the judge know how we feel about this heartless fraud when we receive the letter from the DA. So please do take your time to write to the court/judge! We are hoping to get 50% (at least, if not 100%) of our money back hopefully before the sentencing in May or June.

This lying sold me a piece of property in 2009 and come to find out she didn't even own it. I have a judgement against her for over 4000 dollars and still have not collected a penny. I have a surprise for her coming real soon stay tuned. BTW here is a good number for her [protected]
