I was a member for 40 years. After a serious at fault accident they dropped me. Understood.
Two years later I applied and was accepted as a new member. I missed one payment. I was 15 days late when I was involved in a fatal, no fault of my own, head in collision. When I called, they informed me I was not covered.
Fast forward three years later. Again, as a member i was having difficulry making my payments. I called a a month early to change the payment date by THREE days. They stated they could, but it would entail a new policy at a higher rate. I could barely afford the current rate, THAT'S why I requested the extra three days. I couldnt make the payment, nor afford a new policy so they canceled my policy once missed. They have since tried to bill me for the month I missed, PLUS the next month I was uninsured.
There is no solution to treatment as such. ACSC has it's policies and I have my principles. They are in the business of making money. I get it and I can only hope people are aware of their behavior.
