I was looking modelling jobs online for my son, I received a call from one new look modelling agency and said my son’s photo met the requirements for modelling and directed me to Thomas street studios for photos to create a portfolio for him with a refundable £50 deposit. I took my son to TS studios on the 9/03/2024, after photos I was guaranteed my son would get modelling jobs from them as well as referrals to other modelling agencies. I was misled to sign a package of £1000 and instantly they withdrew £150 from my account and set a monthly repayment for the balance. This agreement was not handed to me I was told they would email it to me . Iwjat was emailed to me was totally different from what I signed for. What I was made to sign for was the modelling jobs and referrals . I didn’t sign anything that once I leave the premises I cannot cancel the agreement and my signature was also duplicated to sign for other documents I was not aware of or consented to as well as a loan agreement and are charging interest.
I did not sign up to any agencies referrals as they were requesting for money and would not guarantee modelling jobs. I have instructed my bank not to allow further payments to them and that have been threatening me with one CRS debt recovery which I believe they are one and the same company.
Claimed loss: £266.67
Desired outcome: I would like a refund
