This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I have been an active RV owner for the past 10 years, and 2 years ago we bought a brand new 34 foot Class A motorhome. We were easily approved for the loan at the dealer and followed their recommendation to go through THOR credit. Recently, due to the markets, we have had to go 15-20 days late on a few of our payments and all of the companies after a brief explanation understood and have not called since. On the other hand, THOR credit calls 3-4 days after the payment is due, calls as early as 8am and doesn't stop. They will not take an explanation and only want to argue about why the payment is not in. I am a good person financially and very prudent about my credit. Since this has begun, they have now reported on my credit (2) 30 day late payments and now have told me its up me to get them removed. I have never been past 30 days and have verified checks to support that. I have no other late or bad accounts. I have and will continue to do everything to maintain my credit history and will be a lifelong RV owner. I am only 36 years old and plan on purchasing many RV's throughout my lifetime. I will never buy an RV manufactured, lease or purchase and RV through THOR and make sure that I tell everyone about their practices. I can only hope that if someone has a choice in RV financing that they choose another direction. I am also completely open to a complete and honest discussion with THOR in relation to their practices.

I agree. I have had a horrible experience with Thor and refuse to do business with them in the future. Its amazing to me that you can be treated like a second class citizen in todays economic environment, but they do.

Hopefully nobody else has to experience them.

I completely agree about Thor! We have excellent credit and have never had a problem. On Thors payment book it states due by Jan 26 and late after Feb 05. Well there are times where I don't get it out until the 26th... knowing I won't have a late fee ... but sure enough 2 to 3 days they are calling... ALWAYS ON A SATURDAY AND ALWAYS AT 8AM! They even called my work! I finally had enough and told them I was reporting them if they did not remove my phone number... they try to make it out like they are helping you! PLEASE! I am an adult, own a home, car, boat and RV.. never one problem until Thor! I told them if I'm late, I'm late, I don't need their "REMINDER" calls! I will never go through them again!

On March 9, 2009, I called [protected] and left a message at extension 4636.
On March 10, 2009 I called [protected] and spoke to Michael G at extension 4230. He indicated I should call him back the next day to discuss my making a payment.
On March 11, 2009 I called [protected] and left a message for Michael G at extension 4230. He didn’t return my call.
On March 12, 2009 I called [protected] and spoke to Michael G at extension 4230. I asked him why he never called me back and he said “he’s been very busy”. I told him: “It’s as if you don’t want me to pay you what I owe!”. He made no comment…

I told him I was willing to pay all of our late payment with penalties:

Dec. 08: $595.38 + ($29.77)
Jan. 09: $595.38 + ($29.77)
Feb. 09: $595.38 + ($29.77)
Mar.09: $595.38

Total = $2470.83

He said that it wasn’t enough… That I owed another $31.00 for a repossession fee.

He then indicated that he was going to repossess our RV, even though I was willing to pay $2470.83 ON-THE-SPOT…

If my RV is repossessed, I wish to bring suit against GEMB/Thor for failure to accept my payments and for continuing to file bad credit reports against my wife and myself.

One only has to do a quick Google on their name to see how many unhappy customers they have...

This is amazing to me…

One of the purposes of writing this letter was to send it to THOR and GEMB Lending just to make sure that management is aware of how difficult it is to pay them or just plain deal with them. I shouldn’t be surprised that finding them on the Internet for the sake of sending a copy of this letter via email is also impossible. I believe they are purposely hard to find and hard to reach and that their mantra as a business is to treat customers like dirt.
