I wanted to take advanced classses in cosmetology and found Tinny Beauty school on-line. They asked me for $2200 in cash for 50 hours trainning in advanced cosmetology-to learn all new machines, new methods and new technology, such as microdermabrasion, light therapy, chemicals peels... I left $1000 deposit in cash for the first half of the trainning. It appeared that I am the only speaking student there. Noone elese speaked English including the teachers-chinese only. They started to show me facial massage moves-and that was it..for 25 hours .No advanced technology-nothing! What a scam! Whe i tried to complain they acted that they didn't understand what I was saying. They didn't want to teach me any advanced methods and machines. One time i brought a model to practic facials and the teachers screamed at me that I have to bring my own materials for training. So what did I pay for. Nowdays I can learn the massage moves for free on youtube! When i asked for my money refund the school owner refused and acted like she does not know me. And I wanted refund for the hours I didn't spent there.
Stay away from that school. Waste of time and money. You won't learn anything there.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
They are presently being sued by the ny state attorney general for deceptive business practices. Contact the attorney general and file a complaint for a refund!
you are so right. this stupid owner of the school, Lydia, doesn't even speak english and when i wanted to pay asked for cash only so they don't pay taxes. i refused, because that's why i use my credit card. m i happy i left! what a and a witch this stupid chinese woman!
i went there yesterday and they did the same thing. also wanted money cash without a receipt
The lady Lydia is the biggest ever! Definitely stay away from this school. Not worth the money and this school recently got closed for short time (2015)... it's probably over something stupid that Lydia did, like deceiving the government or under paid the taxes since she "only accepts cash" with no receipts!
Beware of this pathetic beauty school! I have inside sources that this beauty school uses FAKE MAKEUPS!
The worst beauty school ever! Had horrible experience with owner Lydia. She is such a unreasonable person! Cant even communicate.
