I wasn't trying to make it a racial issue, I was merely alluding to the fact that people are overly, as well as overtly, judgemental of those that come to their door. Regardless of what they are selling, or the company that they are representing. And of course the banks are "conducting an investigation": there's a ridiculous amount of clients cancelling their checks to the company! BEFORE THEY EVEN RECEIVE THE MERCHANDISE. And for that matter, before the agents have even left the neighborhood! It is reprehensible that these people are cancelling their orders behind the agents backs. Learn to say no. If you are unsure of the consequences of the purchase, don't make it. Agents are charged back-fees on cancelled orders because, as discussed earlier, they are paid on strictly commission sales. I would have much rather had somebody tell me no, than to make the sale and have to pay for it at a later, likely cash-strapped, date. And OF COURSE they are experiencing a large volume of calls, there's only 3 women in the office handling every single call coming from the 47 states the agents (who number around 500) are working in. Personally, though I wasn't supposed to, I directed customer to the agents' credit card line. It's open from 8am until 10pm Monday through Saturday, and they can review, cancel, or make additional changes to any order handled via credit or debit. I rarely suggested customers write me a check because in the event of a solicitation arrest, police officers would confiscate the receipts and, therefore, the checks, rendering me incapable of actually placing the order.

Tower of Power is a SCAM! Me, and five others ordered back in 2011 and have never received the books we ordered! I wrote a check and gave the kid cash. Every time I try to call the number to TOP it tells me we are in a different time zone even when I adjust my current time zone to theirs! It's a bunch of ###, no never wil I order from these robotic book selling fakes! I lost 68.00 to this scam and hope it bought some good ### for these scam artists, but God is real! And Karma is too!

Tower of Power is a TOTAL SCAM! Of course you people who have worked there won't say so! You aren't the consumer! I however am! Have you had any consumer on here say that it's legit and they have received their books, or magazines? No! That's because they don't, they get ripped off and money taken and cleared from the bank and NEVER get their order! That's what happened to me and 5 neighbors! And NEVER ever again will I ever order from a scamming book selling door to door salesman! It has been almost two TWO years since I wrote a check for 40.00 dollars and gave 28.00 cash for a Bible set and an Elmo Cookbook and still have NEVER received it! Yet every time I try to call we are in a different time zone, and it's funny even when I adjust my time zone to theirs, I still get a recording! Because its a SCAM! Never again! TOP IS A SCAM! GOD is real and will take care of the people behind this! I hope the drugs and cars and ### you buy with this money makes you happy!

My mother is 88 years old and lives on a fixed income. I walked into her home one day to find a college student (or so she claimed) sitting there in short shorts visiting as if she were an old friend. I learned that she was selling magazines and had given my mom a story about earning money to study in France next summer, her mother was going with her. She even said she was a "neighbor" on the street behind her. I immediately took my mom aside and told her not to buy, that is was a scam. She felt sorry for her and was going to subscribe, I tried to get her to write a check that I could stop payment on, but she was trusing and wanted to give her cash. I asked for the phone number and contact for the company, unfortunately I didn't go to the computer immediately and check it out. Then, "Melanie" said there was a processing fee of $16 on top of the $44.00 subscription fee! She saw my face and immediately said "but, I'll waive that if you want, we don't have to get it, but they want us to." I told her she was not getting it. She took $44, but the receipt indicated $60. I contacted the company via e-mail after she left, got a response from Brett Walker saying to check back in 7-10 days after processing. Six weeks later..wrote him again. He said it should arrive within 120 DAYS! As you might guess, after 4 months and one week I wrote him back saying it had not been received. He has NOT answered this time. I hate scams, and I especially hate scams that prey on the elderly. I will not let this go. I'm envisioning a sleazy, back room with a computer, and no subscriptions ever being fulfilled. As suspected, they are not Better Business Bureau accredited. In fact there are dozens of complaints against them, but they're too arrogant to even respond to most of them.

Jesus! I have been attempting to obtain a refund from these jokers since 2016! This is a joke. How unprofessional can you be...no, don't answer that. Some dude named Brett Walker (contact@towerofpowersales.com) gives me this apology indicating an error in processing my order, provide them with documentation and they'd refund my money...Look, I'm a patient person until YOU LIE! Yes, the typical person may lie at least 10 times/day, but I don't know how they sleep at night. I guess Jesus will return prior to receiving this $50...come on. Get your business in order, if it is indeed a business...put your big boy panties on and give me my refund!
