Tru talent is completely unprofessional. I signed up like an idiot, and when I showed up for my first class I sat around for a good 15 20 minutes waiting before somebody told me "Oh your class was cancelled come back next week." Now I was a little peeved because I wasn't given any notice and I drove across town for nothing. I told them that I wasn't notified and they apologized and made some excuse about how the people that call about these things are un UItah so sometimes people get lost in the shuffle. Ok great right? I show up next week, and wouldn't you know the class was cancelled AGAIN, and not only that but I would have to move my class to another day. At that point I was pissed. The receptionist if thats what you can call a girl who is sitting at a desk texting and eating fries just gave me an oh crap look because she was supposed to have called all of the students un that class to let them know. Once again I spoke to her boss whoever that was and she gave me the same oh well the people in Utah are supposed to inform you story ya right. At that point I wanted out of my contract she gave me a number to call but said that my contract says I am not allowed to back out I have to pay them. I didn't go to their class or their photoshoot. I recieved no service from them and they want me to pay them anyway. I call the number and tell the lady that I want out of my contract. She responds with how about we give you the class for free? I say no I don't want to do any business with such an unprofessional place. She yells back with well I won't sit here and listen to you bad mouthing my company, and hangs up on me. Lovely right? I just recieved a notice that they have sent my account there to collections. I refuse to pay these people anything. I will stand outside their office building with signs saying how big of a scam they are and contact every media outlet that will listen before I give them a red cent. anybody else who feels the same way can email me at great_name_huh@yahoo.com

I currently am represented by this company and the 90 percent of the classes are just a waste of time. Like the comment above mine, I have gone to "classes" just to be informed that they've been canceled. Or just sit there for a good 45 mins after the classes start. It's ridiculous! I've been with them for a few months now and have gone to "auditions". I believe most of there auditions are faked to make them look and appear legit. They were currently on fox 13 news and ever since then they haven't recruited "new talent" and say they want to work with the talent they currently have. sounds kinda fishy to me! I am currently trying to get out of my contract and its extremely difficult. Also, when I signed my contract I was told i could audition for jobs in Vegas, low and behold, after the fox 13 news thing they no longer allow you to audition in Vegas! Wtf! Oh, and their unbelievable acting coach "rob diamond" ( who I believe is legit) left tru talent. Hmm... all-in-all don't even attempt to do business with these guys!

This TruTalent is such a bullcrap! We were shopping in walmart and this one guy approach us if we would like to have our kids in the commercial! So I said who's parent is it that doesn't want his/her kids to be seen in the tv or commercial! He said that our kids are good looking and etc. So he get our phone numbers and said to call the day after.Sure it was the receptionist called and told us to have an appointment! Were so naive but were hesitant about this matter buy Steve Wygill was a very pursued guy he doesn't care at all but as king as you signed the paper with them they're one all YHWH want is our money! It's all about the money! I regret that we paid more than 1500 not o include the pictorial which was more than 600! I cry so hard when I paid the pictorial because we're so broke and we don't even know where to earn extra money for such a scam! Our salary is just enough for the bills and we got no luxury! See what this ###ing TruTalent scam is all about! We will be filing a case regarding this matter to get our money back and to end this ripped off scam in las Vegas!

I was at Ross the other day and some girl up to me and asked me if I lived here in Las Vegas, I said yes then she went on to tell me that there was gonna be a hair convention at the Mandalay Bay, and that if I want it to be a hair model that they would do to me what ever I wanted to get done, and that depending on what I was getting done they would pay me anywhere from $200 to $600 dollars depending on what I got done. I gave her my name and number because I had previously gotten my hair done for free for a bridal convention, but was paid with hair care products, so I believed the hole shinannagans I was told, I got called a couple of days later by a girl that told me they had given her my number because I had a very
Commercial look and they wanted to work with me so they wanted me to come in for auditions. When i heard the word auditions I was o no this does not sound right! So after reading all this I'm not going to the audition I made an appointment for because if they Are gonna ask me for money I'm gonna send them to hell! All i
Got to say is... Don't pay anyone for you to be successful! They got to pay you!

I was a former employee of Tru/Press Talent Management. I am writing this letter to inform our community of what is going on with this “Talent Agency”
1) They were ordered to shut down their corporate office in Salt Lake City, Utah due to deceptive sales acts.
2) They have changed their name now for the fourth time due to a bad reputation
3) They are still conducting the same thing they were ordered to shut down for, they only difference is, the owner signed the company over to someone else.
They are charging consumers $[protected] per person to sign up with their company. Upon signing up with Tru/Press Talent Management the sales agents are stating that you will receive training for 10 weeks of acting and modeling for $500 per cours, this is true, but not from coaches who are qualified to teach these expensive courses and who have worked in the industry.
The average price for training in Las Vegas for Acting and modeling is about $20-25 per session and there should be no sign up or representation fees. When I was employed with Tru/Press I was instructed take a payments even if their account was paid off as well as to sign up illegal aliens with no citizenship.
The customers are told that they will receive “lifetime photography” which means for the rest of their life they can update their portfolio, family photos, Christmas cards and it includes hair and makeup. When in- fact that is false they have to pay $40.00 for each photo print with a minimum of 6 each time they do a new photo shoot which is $240.00 for each additional photo shoot after and if they would like the entire photo session on a disc they have to purchase 12 prints.
They are holding fake “auditions” which are photo submissions. They are stating they have an audition for a place such as Children’s Place clothing store, audition for the hunger games, Ant Farm and more, when they don’t even send in these photos to anyone. A real audition consists of a person doing a reading from the script or a monologue in front of the actual casting director or producers of the show. Photo submissions are done but mostly for local conventions/tradeshows to see what the client is looking for. If a photo submission is done for a movie or print ad they will call the person they like to audition them in person.
When I was first hired at TTM I was the scouting director and I was instructed to go to various locations like Wal-Mart, Target, Malls, basically wherever there was going to be large groups of people. I was actually arrested for soliciting on private property at the Gateway mall for doing my job. I was instructed to obtain 30 names and numbers each day with a team of 6-8 people under me which had to do the same and bring them in for the sales agents so they could sell them on the training and photos.
Brandie Frommelt is also stating that her workers are independent contractors so she does not have to pay their taxes. When I worked for Tru Talent Management I had a schedule with set hours and I had to clock in and out and was paid a salary but was on a 1099. She has been audited numerous times but somehow keeps getting away with this.
I am not doing this because I want to seek revenge or anything of that nature. I left the company on my own will due to how it was being operated. I was instructed to lie to customers and say that Press Talent was a different company and Brandie Frommelt was no longer the owner when she is. The only difference is she signed everything over to Laura Mcdowell (20 yrs old) which was hired on as a telemarketer about 5 years ago with no previous work experience related to the talent industry, the only employer prior was metro pizzas and she is now the CEO and CFO?
After Tru Talent was ordered to shut down by the division of consumer protection in Salt Lake City I was relocated back to Las Vegas. I was originally hired in Las Vegas and asked to relocate to SLC . Please follow the links below so you can read what happened.
They have now joined the corporate advocacy Business remediation & customer satisfaction program with [redacted] so they can control what is posted online about their company.

It seems as if these agents like to pick their victims from Walmart..I was walking through the parking lot and some lady ran up to me, "I love your purse! And wow you are beautiful! Have you ever thought about modeling makeup?" She asked for my number and told me that I would be getting a call within a day or so. Long story short, I have an appointment with them tomorrow but I will be canceling. Also, it's not tru talent anymore, it's Press Talent. Just another scam.
